| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 04-08-2002 Monday 4-8-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about how hot it was in the studio. For some reason, the temperature was quite high, which made everyone very uncomfortable. To bring the temperature down to a reasonable level, TnT had to turn on a fan. Originally, they seemed to worry that the white noise of the fan would be a bit of a nuisance so to poke a little fun at the situation, they actually stuck a microphone on the fan and periodically checked in with fan mike several times during the early segments of the show. After the studios temperature had been dropped, the guys spent some time discussing their weekends. Todd flew to Colorado with his son for a ski trip and was a bit confused by his arrival to the Omaha airport last night that left him stranded on the runway because all of the Omaha gates were filled up (an odd situation for Omahas airport on a Sunday night). Tyler went to the Anchor Inn on Saturday to see the Fishheads along with a bunch of people from the radio station and a few from Channel 3. He sang Cats In The Freezer and said that it was quite a good time. It seems that everyone is looking forward to the summer time parties that will be taking place shortly down by the river. After Brian concluded his newscast, which included yet another Catholic priest in trouble (this time from North Bend), he broke a story that Tyler teased early in the program. As we have all heard, Todd and Tyler have been poking a little fun at Slave Boy Jeremy for not having a girlfriend and for having gone so long without sex. Well, on Saturday night at the Anchor Inn, Jeremy showed up with his girlfriend. Yes, he has been seeing someone for a month and a half and has kept it a secret from everyone. Why, you may ask, has he been keeping his new girlfriend a secret? Well, because his new girlfriend is none other than Z-92s mid-day hottie Jessica Dol! TnT phoned Jeremys house immediately after breaking the news and, after Todd mis-dialed and got some Spanish speaking lady in South O, a sleepy female voce picked up the phone and said something to the effect of, You got to work really fast, baby. It was Jessica, seemingly assuming that Jeremy was calling her. The guys spent some time talking to Jessica about her relationship with Jeremy and as the conversation continued, Jeremy came in studio to join in. TnT warned the two, in a playful way, about their no inter-office banging rule and wondered how the two would manage if they ever break up. Donnie speculated that most likely, one of the two would just get fired. He allegedly may or may not have been speaking from personal experience. After the tale of how the two hooked up and how and why they kept it a secret for more than a month, TnT commented on how unusual the relationship is. For the most part, nearly all of the office romances TnT have seen taking place around them in the past have involved at least one married person cheating on their spouse. Jessica and Jeremy, on the other hand, are both single so the guys seemed to think their relationship was an interesting change of pace. As the show progressed, TnT continued to discuss the Jeremy / Jessica love-fest and they opened up the phone lines for their listeners to check in with their own office romance tales of disaster or success. Tonight is the final dodge ball game of this season for the Todd and Tyler Traveling Dodge Ball All Stars. The gang is headed to Millard West this evening to raise money to benefit the Svitak family. Tonights activities include a feast beginning at 5pm, which will include Pizza Hut pizza, sandwiches from Arbys, and ice cream. After the feast, Todd and Tyler Traveling Dodge Ball All Stars will take the court for their 7pm game. The cost to enter the dodge ball game is only $2, but wed like to see you donate more to the Svitak family so feel free to bring some extra cash or your checkbooks. It should be a great event followed up by yet another Todd and Tyler Traveling Dodge Ball All Star victory so stop on out to the Millard West high school tonight! Travis came in this morning to do the sports. Before his actual sports report, he spent some time talking with TnT about the Millard North girls soccer coach situation. From what was mentioned, it seems that the Millard North girls soccer coach is being sued by the parents of one of the girls on the team because they feel her daughter isnt getting enough play time. Travis, along with TnT, all agreed such a lawsuit, especially for that reason, is ridiculous. They all commented on how political correctness and fairness to all has taken over so many aspects of every day life that its starting to get out of hand. When they were kids, after all, if you sucked, you didnt play. Some people are just better than others. The phenomenon of stage parents, those who live vicariously through the success of their own children, was discussed, analyzed and ridiculed by all. Travis mentioned that on his For What Its Worth editorial tonight, airing during the 10pm newscast on Channel 3, he will be mentioning this story and a few others. Check out Traviss For What Its Worth tonight and make sure to join TnT tomorrow, as Travis will redo it for the TnT listeners. Todd and Tyler spoke to Laura Svitak, wife of the Fremont native Army Ranger who was killed in Afghanistan fighting in the war on terrorism. They discussed how she and her husband met, the two young boys she and her husband have, how insurance companies give military people the shaft, and the charity dodge ball game TnT are putting on that is taking place tonight at the Millard West high school. Make sure you join Todd and Tyler tonight at the Millard West high school and help them raise some money to assist Mrs. Svitak. TnT read a great letter written by a Fremont listener named Steve that was published by the Fremont newspaper in regards to the Todd and Tyler show and the situation involving charity dodge ball game that was shot down by the Fremont superintendent. After reading the letter, Steve phoned in to talk about what he wrote and how he was surprised the Fremont paper printed his letter considering the Catholic bashing innuendo it contained. TnT thanked him for his call and the nice things he had to say about their show in the letter he wrote to the paper. On Fridays show, Donnie mentioned that he believed he had finally gotten down the voice of the aewruuawahwhrawwawraseuauaruaaaarea guy. Well, the aewruuawahwhrawwawraseuauaruaaaarea guy must not have liked the idea of finally being figured out and today he proved that he is still one step above everyones favorite neck/producer/screener by getting through on the TnT show twice. Towards the end of the show, Bruce Patrick joined TnT in the studio to talk to the guys about last nights Simpsons episode, which featured a pot smoking Homer. As Bruce described the show, everyone seemed to agree that the high Homer sounded an awful lot like Todd most of the time. Well, thats it for the Monday update. Make sure to head out to the Millard West school this evening for the dodge ball game and feast before the match begins. It is a great cause and will inevitably be an awesome close to this years dodge ball season. Tune in to the 3rd Shift Replay at 10pm this evening and rejoin Todd and Tyler tomorrow at 5:30am for another show. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby- |
