| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 04-19-2002 Friday 4-19-02 Todd and Tyler began their show today by talking about last nights cable TV news stations coverage of the Robert Blake car following his arrest in LA. They mentioned that they interviewed Blake back in 97 and sent Donnie on the task to find the interview (which, if found, did not re-air this morning). During the news coverage, Tyler saw one of the crawls at the bottom of the screen that disturbed him. The crawl mentioned that a 75-year-old man had been arrested for impregnating a 10-year-old girl that he met through an Adopt-A-Grandparent program. He was mad at the lack of details the crawl provided, which lead TnT into a discussion about TV news crawls being out of control. Also early in the program, TnT talked about a midget porn star named Bridget the Midget that follows around a NYC band called Dope. They saw the story on MTV and were rather amused at the midget porn star groupie. TnT then played Jessica, Jeremy, or Bubba again this morning by phoning Jeremys place to see who would answer the phone. This morning Jeremy answered in that sleepy, moany voice hes got, which prompted TnT to replay the classic clip of when Lisa Volenec pretended to be Jeremys internet girlfriend, the stripping accountant a few years ago. The guys then called Jessica at home and were surprised at how chipper her morning voice was in comparison to Jeremy. Larry the Cable Guy checked in today with a pretty funny commentary on the Pope being too old. I believe his exact term was that hes, too old for Poping. The guys are sure to get a few commentaries from the Cable Guy next week so stay tuned. There was quite a bit of Husker talk throughout todays show that began when TnT were discussing Crouch and the upcoming NFL draft. TnT said they would still like to get him on the show but for some reason, Crouch has visited all of the local talk shows except theirs. TnT figured he doesnt want to come on their show because theyve actually got ratings and listeners. They did toss out an over-the-radio offer directly to Crouch to call the show this morning but it didnt occur. During their conversation about Crouch, Scotty from Husker Hounds checked in and talked about how business is going for his shops; pretty slow right now but things will pick up as the fall football season approaches. Scotty also said that he has received a CD from someone that included a country song sung by Eric Crouch. The guys asked Scotty to bring the CD in, which he did later in the show. Until they received the CD, they resorted to their The Huskers Are Alive audio clip of Crouch singing with some old Jewish men. Jeff and Jerry from Schrier Ford stopped by the studio today to tell TnT and their listeners about a special Managers Sale thats going on today until midnight at Schrier Ford. There will be no sales people, managers only, so the normally added cost of the commissions earned by the sales people will not be added to the price of Schrier vehicles today. TnT also talked with the guys about the new $39,000 2003 Thunderbirds, which Schrier has two of on the show room floor. Todd tried to talk the guys into letting himself and Tyler drive the beasts but it didnt sound like Jeff and Jerry were willing to let TnT put some miles on the vehicles. Stop on out to Schrier Ford today! Ron Morey from the Funny Bone came by and hung out with TnT this morning. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to have a good time. While visiting with TnT, the guys mentioned that Ron was placed in the #4 spot of the top 100 comedians by Entertainment Business Journal. TnT then played a short clip from his CD and spent some time talking about his career as a comedian, which included a tale about going to the Middle East as part of the USO show. You can catch Ron all weekend at the Funny Bone by calling 493-8036. As mentioned earlier, TnT asked Scotty from Husker Hounds to come by with the anticipated CD that Crouch sang on. When he arrived, TnT played the song called and were horrified by it. The music and lyrics themselves were terrible, and Crouchs singing voice was comparable to anything youd hear on any drunken Friday night at any karaoke bar in town. As you can imagine, TnT had quite a bit of fun playing the song and commenting on it for the last hour or so of the show. During the last hour of the show when TnT were playing and discussing the country song Crouch sang, Donnie brought into the studio a produced Best of Crouch commercial he created that included clips of some songs Eric has allegedly sung. The songs featured in the commercial were about how Crouch quit the team when he didnt get to start, how he would get TnT fired for talking about his baby on the air, and how he cant pass the ball. It was very funny and Im sure we will get to hear it again on Mondays show so if you missed it, make sure to tune in or catch the 3rd Shift Replay of todays show airing on Sunday night at 10pm. To wrap up the show, TnT were finally able to get the details of the story Tyler mentioned early in the show about the 75-year-old man who impregnated a 10-year-old girl after they met as part of an Adopt-A-Grandparent program. He was from Bridgeport Connecticut and from the news reports, he had sexually assaulted the young girl on more than one occasion, claiming that she was the one who enticed him into it. The news report also said that the guy had a prior sexual conviction in 1984 so, as TnT said, he was creepy all along. From the news report, TnT were able to get the name of the place the old man stayed at when the acts were committed. Someone scrounged up the phone number and the guys called the place. Donnie pretended to be the old man and when they got a hold of a lady at the home, she sounded like she knew him based on his name alone. Donnie then asked the lady if she could have a van sent to pick him up at prison. She sounded a bit confused and then realized she wasnt actually speaking to the 75-year-old guy from TnTs news story when Donnie asked her just to send over the little girl so he could ride her back to the old folks home. She promptly hung up. The studio promptly erupted with laughter. Tomorrow is the long awaited release of Todd and Tylers Hair Lip CD. From 11 to 1pm the guys will be in Council Bluffs at the Broadway Quick Trip. Following that appearance, you can find the guys at the 132nd and Center Street Homers location from 2 to 4pm. The runner up of the Miss Hair Lip contest will be joining the guys at both places and keep in mind that the first 50 people to approach TnT with their new Hair Lip CD at both locations will receive a limited edition Hair Lip T-shirt (one shirt per person regardless of how many CDs you purchased). Well, thats it for the Friday update. Make sure to stop on out and see Todd and Tyler tomorrow for their Hair Lip release appearances. You can catch the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show on Sunday night beginning at 10pm. Join TnT on Monday at 5:30am as they begin a new week. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby-
