Wednesday 4-24-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show today by talking about a couple of things in the news. They discussed the details of the story about a man who died while on top of one of those huge transmitter towers somewhere near Butler, NE. The Pope and his meeting with his crew of merry men also came up in conversation. There was some talk of the local TV news stations; Donnie mentioning that he thought Channel 3 has carbon copied Channel 7’s look. They discussed Club Styx, the swingers club that has been advertising on their show and then moved on to talk about the Broken Bow student who was busted for putting a video recorder in the girl’s locker room. Also early in today’s show TnT played another round of “Jeremy, Jessica, or Bubba”. This morning Bubba answered the phone because Jeremy was in the shower. Jeremy happened to be listening to TnT via the radio when they were talking to Bubba and you could hear him yelling things from the shower as he reacted to the jabs TnT and Bubba took at him. Several times TnT waited 10 seconds, due to the delay, to hear Jeremy’s hilarious, inaudible reactions to what they were saying about him and his gay dog.

Also early in the show, Todd and Tyler received a sack of goodies from Dr. Johns. Tyler immediately latched on to a 2-foot double dong, which he swung around for a while. At one point, he accidentally bumped his sound effects board with the tip of the rubber tool, which set off a strange laughing sound effect that just happened to be timed perfectly for what was going on right then. The guys joked about the possibility of breaking the sound effect machine with the double dong and having to explain to it boss. Shortly after, Tyler did just that and had to reset the sound effect machine in order to make sure he didn’t actually bust it with the rubber penis.

After taking most of the items out of their packages for inspection and play, Donnie lubed up a huge double dong and shoved it up the butt of an inflatable sheep. Give a box of dildos and an inflatable animal to Todd and Tyler and what else would you expect? Well, when Travis arrived, he saw what had been done to the sheep and through a fit of laughter you could hear him say, “You sick bastards!” Later in the show, Donnie took the double dong out of the butt of the sheep, put on his Trail Blazer’s helmet, and had Travis whack him on the head with the dong a few times.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and delivered a commentary on the recent death of “Deep Throat” porn star, Linda Lovelace. He noted her death as, “a sad day”, and elaborated further by saying that, “she swallowed her last pee pump”. TnT spent some time discussing an article from For Him Magazine called, “Sex For Sale.” The article was about women who have given themselves up sexually for various goods and/or services. The guys wondered whether or not such things have gone on in relation to their listeners so they decided to open up the phone lines. Realizing that women may not want to call in and admit to having sex with someone for freebies, they decided to call their promotions director, James the Giant Peach first and see if they could offer up some prizes to women who called in and shared their stories. Peach gave the go-ahead on a $92 grand prize for the best story and said that all of the other female callers would get some stuff from the Z-92 prize vault, as well as a prize from the Dr. John’s sack of goodies TnT had received earlier in the morning.

The following is a list of some of the callers who checked in. One lady had sex with a mechanic 4 times so he would make $1800 worth of repairs on her car, another lady said that she gave a guy a Diekman and let him video tape it for $100 and a carton of smokes. There was a caller who said she and her friend had a 3-some with a door-to-door vacuum salesman for a free $1000 vacuum, and another lady said she had given a Diekman for “Phantom of the Opera” tickets. Yet another listener called in and admitted to giving a guy a Diekman because she owed him 2 weeks worth of interest on a $100 loan. There was also a caller who said she was offered $100 to become a man’s mistress and she later ended up marrying the guy.

One of the more interesting calls came from a girl who said that she had slept with her drug dealer boyfriend’s drug dealer in order to work off a $1000 crank debt. She later left her original boyfriend for the guy she was working off the debt on. TnT were pleased to hear that she’s no longer on crank, by the way. Another strange call came from a listener who said that while playing Monopoly, she went broke and offered to give her husband a Diekman for a $100 Monopoly money loan. After finishing the transaction, she ended up winning the entire game. And with the highest value item for sex mentioned this morning, a listener said that she had sex with a guy once for a $4000 car.

After taking all of the calls, TnT opened up the phone lines to their listeners and let many of them vote on which story was the best. It seemed a toss up between the $1000 crank dealer debt lady and the woman who had sex with the guy she owed 2 weeks worth of interest on a $100 loan. In the end, May the $100 interest sex lady was chosen as the winner of the $92 prize. Humorously, the guys figured that the 2 weeks worth of interest she owed the guy before paying him off the $100 equated to all of 23 cents. Considering that, she would have had to give 400 Diekmans at 23 cents each to earn the $92 prize they awarded her with.

Todd and Tyler spoke to Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson this morning. He’s got a new CD out called “I Am Not Homer”, available at Amazon.com. The guys talked about Dan’s voice-over work on “The Simpsons”, his acting career prior to his current role, Dan’s time on “The Tracey Ullman Show”, his Second City stuff and more. They then got into some more details of “The Simpsons” such as the production schedule, preparation for the shows, the writing, the other voice talent, and some other interesting facts including the celebrity guest appearances that have been made over the years. Dan did the voices of all of the characters he plays for Todd and Tyler and even performed a, “Shut up, Donnie” as Homer for TnT (they recorded it and used it frequently throughout the rest of the show). Dan was very cool and seemed to have a good time talking with TnT about “The Simpsons” so perhaps we’ll hear him back on the Todd and Tyler show again in the future.

Towards the end of today’s show, Brian came back into the studio and provided us with an entertainment report. During the e-news, Bruce Patrick and Wex also came in studio. Bruce mentioned that he had missed the Homer interview because he was in a meeting but it sounded like he would be listening to it after the show concluded today. The subject of conversation switched to Wex’s butt for a bit as he described the anal probing he received from a doctor yesterday. TnT, both getting closer and closer to the age in which they’ll have to be anally probed annually, were interested in hearing the details of Wex’s procedure. He explained the symptoms he was having that lead to his visit and then said he couldn’t remember any of what happened because of the medication he was given. He concluded his story by telling TnT that the doctors found nothing wrong with his bum. Wex, we’re all glad to hear your butt is okay!

To wrap up the show today, Bruce Patrick talked with Todd and Tyler about the new 2 million song promotion you’ve been hearing advertised on Z-92 lately. There is going to be a contest surrounding the 2 millionth song played on Z-92 and the details break down like this: Starting Monday, various on-air personalities are going to be giving clues about the 2 millionth song, the band that performed it, and when the 2 millionth song will be played (sometime within a 60 day period beginning on Monday). Using those clues, once you have figured it out, be the 200^th caller when the proper song plays at the proper time and you will win $20,000! The guys will talk about this more as time goes on and I’m sure all of the other Z jocks will be giving the details as well.

Tomorrow is another Z-92 night at the Funny Bone with Todd and Tyler and comedian Adam Ferrara. I believe Adam is scheduled to join TnT in studio, if I’m not mistaken so make sure to tune in. Also keep in mind that TnT will be interviewing Omaha’s own John Carroll from “Survivor 4” tomorrow morning.
