| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 04-26-2002 Friday 4-26-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by playing a song from the new Blue House CD called How Big, which is being officially released on Monday. Various Blue House songs were used as bumper music throughout this mornings show and later in the program, Sloppy Joe stopped by the studio and hung out for a bit. He mentioned that Blue House would be playing at Figbys this weekend. By the way, I dont believe Figbys will accept watches as payment for a bar tab so bring some cash and leave your poor friends at home. The guys then moved on to play another round of Jeremy, Jessica, Bubba, or Cody. This morning Bubba answered the phone and from his words, Jessica didnt crash with Jeremy last night. The guys will continue playing the game in the near future so tune in early and place your bets. Also early in the program, TnT mentioned Donnie had located their interview with Robert Blake. It originally aired on October 8th of 1997. The guys played a small, interesting excerpt from the interview in which TnT asked Robert whether he was still as ripped as he was while on Baretta. Roberts answer was pretty strange, saying something like that working out helps him stay sane and not do crazy stuff like killing people. The guys thought that there might be some big name TV interested in hearing the clip from their interview and from the sounds of it, Donnie was going to approach 48 Hours as well as Entertainment Tonight with it. Im sure if that pans out, the guys will fill us in on the details. Later, while TnT waited for Brian to finish writing his first newscast, they played the entire 8-minute Robert Blake interview. When Brian came in to do the news the guys discussed a massive quantity of topics. Tyler and Brian talked about seeing a Channel 7 investigative report about a local YMCA massage therapist guy who was caught on hidden camera kneading a womans breasts. The guys were also happy to hear that the court case against Dr. Johns was thrown out. That led into a discussion over the quality of DVD porn, a topic that TnT then took some calls on. The death of Lisa Left Eye Lopez in a Honduran car accident was also commented on. TnT received an e-mail from someone who wanted to come on their show and talk about how bad circumcision is. Judging from the e-mail, the guy, a lawyer, wasnt all that familiar with their show because nothing was mentioned about Traviss decision not to circumcise his son. It sounded to everyone that the guy was just looking for some airtime. Humorously, as TnT read the e-mail over the air, they eventually got to the last line where the man asked TnT not to read his e-mail on the air. Oops. The guys then took a moment to explain that by sending a letter, e-mail, or making a phone call, permission to air such things is implied and therefore they didnt break any laws by reading his e-mail this morning. The guys have been talking about Club Styx over the past few days after they heard some advertisements for the couples nightclub event on their show. They spoke to Paul, the guy who runs the operation this morning. Paul talked about his 8-year history in the swing community with his girlfriend, he discussed a variety of national swingers conventions that meet all over the place, and also talked about the types of people they are looking for to attend the party. According to Paul, Club Styx is a dance party that allows like-minded people to meet. The magic happens at a post-party event that he arranges. When asked by TnT, Paul said that he would allow Sean Gnandt, a single guy, to attend the event and report back to TnT on the evening. Beyond that, we didnt hear any further conformation from anyone on whether or not Sean would go for sure. By the way, you can get the details of the event at http://www.clubstyx.com or you can call 1-888-910-8300. The guys got an e-mail from a former receptionists at the radio station who now lives in Minneapolis. After some discussion with her friends, the group designated her as the person they wanted to call Todd and Tyler and ask a few questions about men. Instead of reading the e-mail, TnT got her on the phone and spent some time analyzing the problems she and her friends are having finding quality guys. To start, the women in her group all seem to go after younger, less mature guys in their 20s. She justified this by saying that she always hears guys say that they like strong, independent women. TnT decided that they do this because they like to feel in control of the relationship. Secondly, the group hangs out with quite a few gay men, which might cause some strain on any possible relationship when social gatherings occur. Being scrutinized by your girlfriends friends is bad enough when they are women. Imagine a bunch of her gay friends verbally ripping you apart when youre not around. Circumstances of dating guy friends was discussed and TnT decided that their former receptionist is too much like a guy. They told her to hang out with less gay guys and to approach men her own age or older who would be more willing to deal with an independent woman. Adam Ferrara from the Funny Bone joined the guys in studio again this morning. As well as hanging out and joining in on the topics of the day, Adam talked with TnT about some of the TV show pilots hes done in the past. He also talked briefly about a UPN show he was on that ended up getting cancelled after 6 episodes. Throughout his visit, Todd, Tyler, and Donnie jokingly jabbed Adam about the possibility that his current TV show, The Job with Dennis Leary, could get cancelled as well. Adam joked back and eventually vented his frustrations on Brian later in the show when Brian came in to do what turned out to be a hilarious entertainment report. Adam gave Brian an ungodly amount of crap for his story editing skills. In all honesty, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was driving during the entire entertainment report and therefore couldnt jot down any notes for todays update. I do recall Adam spouting out random unimportant facts relating to entertainers as he bashed Brians editing skills and there was some talk about Scooby Doo biting the nads off of a criminal. It would be well worth it to catch the 3rd Shift Replay on Sunday night. To close the show, Todd and Tyler said that a camera crew from Channel 3 had come into the studio to get some video and audio of them talking about Robert Blake. As discussed earlier in the show, the interview Todd and Tyler had with Blake back in 1997 seemed to be what they were interested in. TnT played the strange clip again and then talked about it for a while. Check out the Channel 3 news tonight and perhaps youll see the guys on TV. Well, thats it for the Friday update. Tune in on Sunday night for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and rejoin Todd and Tyler on Monday at 5:30am as they begin a new week. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby-
