| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-09-2002 Thursday 5-9-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about last nights Z-92 night at the Funny Bone. Even though the guys were a little hung over, they couldnt say enough good things about the comic performances of Peter Hooper, Patton Oswalt, and Brian Posehn. TnT went on to mention that before the comics began, they brought up a hottie from the audience to whack Slave Boy Jeremy across the head with their 2 foot purple double dong. The guys attempted to phone Jeremy to not only play another exciting round of Jessica or Jeremy but also to ask him about the mushroom bruise the dong left on his head. His answering machine picked up and all seemed disappointed. From there, the guys moved on to mention that their golf tournament has sold out so if you havent already registered you missed the boat. Also early in the show, TnT announced that their new intern, Curious George who started just yesterday had quit on them via a voice mail. The guys punched up their voice mailbox and played CGs quitting message over the air. Curious George said he was quitting because he found out that he wouldnt be able to receive course credit for the internship. TnT didnt know whether or not that was true but found it rather amusing that he only lasted one day nonetheless. All morning long TnT reflected back on their precious time with Curious George. Fond memories were shared like the time Curious went to the Council Bluffs QT to sell meat bouquets. And then there was the time that Curious George went to the Council Bluffs QT to sell meat bouquets. And remember that one time that Curious George went to the Council Bluffs QT to sell meat bouquets? Ah, the memories. Before Brian entered to do the news TnT mentioned that they received a memo from management asking them to make sure they get in all the commercials scheduled to air during their show before a 10am cut-off time. Consequently, the continuity of this mornings show was a bit different from what we have grown accustom to. Throughout the day, the guys took quite a few commercial breaks during points in the show where they normally would have continued discussing what they were discussing. As an example, for the first time in show history the guys had a 4-part news segment. I dont think, though, that the slightly increased frequency of commercial breaks screwed up the mojo of the show too much, although well see how long it is before the guys mention otherwise. With Mothers Day being Sunday, the gang decided theyd call the moms of various staff members to wish them a happy Mothers Day on the air. They did this after Brian read a news story about how babies who are breast-fed are smarter than those who arent. That led into Todd, Brian, and Donnie asking their mothers whether or not they were breastfed as babies. Todds mom did breastfeed him, Brians mom claimed not to be able to remember and Donnies mom flat out said she didnt let him suckle. Based on those three calls, its obvious that Brians earlier news report was accurate. During Donnies happy Mothers Day call to his mom, he apologized for being such a dick to her when he was 12-years-old, just after his parents divorced. With the exception of an occasional reference in passing, Donnie said that this was the first time hes ever said he was sorry to his mom for the way he treated her all those years ago (Donnie didnt talk to his own mother for more than a year at one point). TnT called Donnie a pussy for not saying it directly to his moms face, instead opting to do it over the phone/radio. Donnie tried to convince them that by doing it over the radio with thousands of people listening, it should be considered even more heartfelt and special for his mother. Nobody seemed to agree, though. The guys then moved on to calling the Peachs mother, who didnt answer, and the mother of Alicia from the Funny Bone. Her mom seemed pretty cool and didnt cringe when TnT talked about whether or not she had any thoughts of getting her huge breasts reduced. Patton Oswalt from the Funny Bone came into the studio this morning. He joined Todd and Tyler as they discussed the topics of the day. Patton seemed to play along very well with the guys and was downright hilarious throughout his stay. He spent some time talking about a variety of the TV shows and movies hes acted in, how he got his start in comedy, and how he hooked up with his buddy Brian Posehn. Patton, a huge comic book fan, totally geeked out throughout his entire visit. He talked with TnT about his passion and went on and on about comics, the new Spiderman movie, the upcoming and old Star Wars films and much more. At about 8:30am, Patton left but Brian Posehn came in to take his place as comic guest #2. You may know him as the creepy janitor guy on Just Shoot Me. Brian is also a comic book geek and picked up right where Patton left off. As TnT discussed his career as a comedian and actor, they found out that Brian is somewhat stereotyped. In nearly every roll hes ever played, he was either a creepy janitor or some kind of nerd. Both of the Funny Bone comedians were incredible on the show today. Not only were they very funny, but they both seemed to enjoy the laidback approach of the Todd and Tyler show and played along very well with the guys. Make it a point to go to the Funny Bone before Sunday and catch these two guys. Its a great double bill and the MC, Peter Hooper who was on the air with TnT yesterday, is an added bonus of laughs. Definitely make your reservations at the Bone today! 493-8036. Todd and Tyler brought their hot mom contest to a close today. Towards the end of their show, they spoke to 4 of the hot mom contestants and the kids that nominated them earlier in the week. For each mother and child team, Ryan and Susie, Penny and Peggy, Suzan and Susie, and Jason & Margie, TnT played the original nomination call for the various mothers. Some of them were a little creeped out by hearing their children describe how hot they are but for the most part, all of the mothers played along well. At the very end of the show, TnT phoned the winner, Margie to inform her that she had won the two round trip Southwest Airline tickets. Unfortunately, Margie didnt answer the phone so TnT had to tell her she won on her voice mail. Todd and Tyler are headed to Vegas tomorrow so a Best Of will be airing. You can still catch the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show at 10pm tonight though so make sure to tune in. Rejoin Todd and Tyler at 5:30am on Monday for a full recap of their Vegas weekend. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
