| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-16-2002 Thursday 5-16-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with some talk about last nights Creighton Vs. Huskers baseball game at the Johnny. There were a lot of people in red, as the guys suspected, but nearly everyone they ran into was pretty cool. Throughout the game, the guys joked back and forth with the Husker fans in front of them as well as the Creighton fans behind them. Even though Creighton lost, the guys seemed to have a good time. From there, TnT called a 17-year-old fan to wish him a happy birthday after his mother called and asked if they would do so. He was half asleep and didnt seem quite as excited about the call from TnT as his mother led the guys to believe he would be. Afterwards, the guys spent a little time reading over a hate e-mail from a Husker fan. The e-mailer basically thought that TnT bash the Huskers too much and that their comments about Omaha and the state in general arent correct. TnT disputed the e-mail but due to the lack of legitimate points made by the e-mailer, they didnt dwell on it for long. The new Star Wars movie was sneak previewed last night so Todd and Tyler wanted to get some listener reaction to it, as they have been discussing the new movie and Star Wars geeks throughout the week. Several people checked in early on and said that the movie was good. The guys were amused at some of the comments because it seemed like peoples thoughts on the new movie somehow allowed them to finally express how they truly felt about Phantom Menace that came out a few years ago. They could finally say it sucked. Later in the program, TnT brought in Bruce Patrick. He hosted last nights sneak preview and spent some time describing the scene to TnT. He also shared his honest opinion of the movie. Bruce said that the last 45 minutes was stellar but leading up to that, it was very slow and boring. Scattered throughout the remainder of the show, occasional Star Wars fan conversations sprang up here and there. Kelly and Matt from Cohen, Vacanti, Higgins, & Shattuck stopped by this morning and spent a couple of hours with Todd and Tyler. The two lawyers answered a plethora of phone calls from TnTs listeners this morning. There were quite a few calls today about dealing with divorces and custody when there are multiple states involved. Also, the lawyers seemed to focus on divorced parents who inform their children of every little nitty gritty battle between the ex-spouses, which everyone seemed to agree is harmful to the children involved. At one point, Higgins ranted about seeing some parents screw their kids up by dragging them into the mix, manipulating them, in an attempt to screw over the other parent involved. It was yet another great visit with the guys from Cohen, Vacanti, Higgins, & Shattuck. If you would like to get in contact with them please phone 402-345-7600 or visit them on the web at FATHERSRIGHTSLAW.COM. Travis came in to do the sports this morning. During his report he spent some time talking with Todd and Tyler about the Creighton/Husker baseball game last night. Then the gang moved on into a discussion of their Viper racing yesterday. The guys spoke to both Bill, the guy who set the whole thing up for them, and Channel 3s Pos Peterson, who was expected to have the best time, during the sportscast. As predicted, Todd did indeed spin out on the track. Due to the wet conditions of the road he was able to go around a few extra times later on in the day and eventually ended up with the best time of all, 2m08s. To wrap up the show, Brian returned to the studio with his entertainment news. During the report, the guys discussed the stories Brian read, laughed when no one knew anything about the On this day dead guys, and argued over when Dallas ran on TV. They also spent some time talking about the void of talk radio in Omaha in the afternoons, ranting mostly about Kiley and Booms on sports radio. To wrap it all up, everyone had a laugh at Brians kicker story that involved a woman blowing off her husbands testicles with a shotgun as he climaxed during some strange fetish sex game. From the sounds of it, they will be bringing up the strange sex fetish topic tomorrow so be prepared to call in your stories. Tomorrow is Friday, which means a Funny Bone comedian will be joining TnT in studio. This week its everyones favorite hypnotist, J Medicine Hat. Join the guys for their Friday show at 5:30am. If you happened to miss any of todays show, tune in to the mighty Z tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of todays program. Thats it for the update today. Check back tomorrow for another one. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
