| Administrator ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-24-2002 Friday 5-24-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing the possibility of doing their very own celebrity boxing matches, as inspired by the Fox Celebrity Boxing program that aired earlier in the week. Theyve come up with a couple of matches including Slave Boy Jeremy Vs. Black Tony, Big Pussy Vs. James the Giant Peach, Midget Brian Vs. a stripper, and Donnie Vs. Brian. After mentioning those, they phoned Jeremy at home to see what he thought about taking on Tony and he didnt seem to have a problem with the idea, stating that he is much bigger than Tony. They also asked him if he thought Jessica Dol would participate but it didnt seem like he thought she would. The guys then spent some time brainstorming ideas for other matches and opened up the phone lines for suggestions. Lots of callers checked in with ideas, many included various local TV personalities. Also early in the show, TnT read over a couple of hate e-mails they received. The first one they read was directed towards them. The e-mailer bashed TnT for being cocky and didnt seem to like it when they give TV personalities a hard time. From there, they read over quite a few hate e-mails directed towards Donnie regarding his parenting skills. As you may have heard on yesterdays show, Donnie made his 6-year-old daughter wear her underwear on her head after she peed her pants in an attempt to embarrass her into stopping the behavior. Well all of the e-mailers, mostly females, tore Donnie a new one. TnT seemed to enjoy everyone bashing him. Donnie, though, didnt seem to mind being hated. At that point, Brian attempted to rally everyone who hates Donnie to throw their support to him when the time comes for the two to battle it out in the ring. His approach could very well work despite his perpetuity to tell dead kid stories. Only time will tell. After Brian read the news, TnT continued discussing their celebrity boxing match idea and eventually decided to call the event Guys Who Know Todd and Tyler Celebrity Boxing. They set an approximate date for sometime in July, only needing to find a bar that would sponsor it and to check on the legal issues involved in putting on a fight of this nature. More calls came in with suggestions on other people affiliated with the show who might be good match-ups. Callers Paul and Joe from Blue House were mentioned as were the two bouncers Sied the Palestinian Monster and Drake the Mullet-headed Indian. Later in the show, after each had called individually to run some smack, both of the bouncers checked in at the same time with a hilarious back and forth verbal battle over who would win. James the Giant Peach came in to talk about his match with Big Pussy. Peach ran a considerable amount of heavy smack and after some discussion, everyone seemed to think Peach could easily whack Pussy. Later, Black Tony showed up in studio dressed in a boxing outfit. He then brought the verbal hammer down on Slave Boy Jeremy saying that he would not only kick Jeremys ass, but he would later sodomize Jeremys gay dog Cody. Jeremy eventually retaliated during a visit to the studio but his smack just wasnt as badass as Tonys. Of course the quality of smack really didnt seem to matter once Donnie read over the body stats of the two. Tony, barely breaking 100 lbs., is probably going to have a hard time thumping Jeremy, whos easily got 50 pounds on him. When Travis arrived, he talked about the boxing match a bit and said that he would probably give it some TV time if there were some former Huskers involved. Then a call from listener Bill came in. Hes the guy who has been bashing Attaboy through the e-mail for some time now. Bill challenged Travis to take him on in the ring but Travis declined. He said that not only is he a lover, not a fighter, but he has too much money invested in his face to fight. Even though he meant that his career is based on how he looks because hes a TV guy, it still came across rather funny that Travis believes his face is what makes him his cash. Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning with a commentary on the remains of Chandra Levy being found. He also entertained the thought of a possible Cable Guy Vs. Cable Smoker boxing match when he comes to town in August. Im sure well get further details on that match as the time approaches. John Paul Morgan from the Funny Bone came in studio and hung out with TnT for the last half of their show. He joined in on the topics of the day and discussed his unusual financial situation with TnT. Johns wife won the lottery a while ago so he doesnt really have to do anything. He talked about the win, how the money is distributed, what its like to have millions, and how theyve still got about 12 years worth of payments coming to them. It was pretty interesting stuff. Later in the show, Donnies parenting skills were brought up once again as Todd and Tyler filled John Paul Morgan in on what took place yesterday. Johns reaction to Donnies underwear tactic was priceless. He freaked out on Donnie and called him a bastard, among other things. During this exchange, the guys received a call from Donnies ex-wife. She sounded incredibly upset with Donnie and then the two went back and forth for a moment regarding the entire situation. After everyone else in the studio (as well as most of us in the listening audience) reached a level of being as uncomfortable as one could get, the call ended and there wasnt much more said about it throughout the rest of the show. The Fish Heads came by this morning. They played a couple of tunes for TnT and hung out for a bit. There was lots of talk about Sundays big Rockin on the River bash taking place at the Anchor Inn. The gates open at noon and the first of 5 bands will take the stage at 4pm. The 3 Harleys being given away by friend of the show Roz will also be there so make sure to stop on out. Before the Fish Heads left, the gang tried to brainstorm an idea for a bet between the Heads and Cheshire Grin. Over the past few years, the two bands have had a variety of bets in which the Fish Heads have won. This year, the Cheshire guys suggested a pre show basketball game between the two groups. The idea seemed rather lame to everyone in studio so theres the possibility that this year there wont be a Grin / Heads bet taking place. Make sure to stop on out to the Anchor Inn on Sunday nonetheless. It should be a great time. Oh, by the way, you can catch the Fish Heads performing in Lincoln at the Rokata Theater tonight. As discussion of their Guys Who Know Todd and Tyler Celebrity Boxing continued, TnT received a call from former Husker Aaron Taylor. Earlier in the show Travis mentioned that he would probably cover the event on TV but suggested TnT get a couple of former Huskers involved. They seemed to like the idea, which prompted Aarons call. He talked about the concept for a bit and then gave TnT former Husker Scott Frosts phone number. TnT attempted to call Frosty to see if he would like to participate but sadly his voice mail answered. They may try to get in contact with Frost again in the future, though. Late in the show, one of Todd and Tylers old friends, Guy stopped by the studio. TnT described Guy to all of their listeners as the Fun Bobby of their world. For those of you unfamiliar with Fun Bobby, he was a character on a Friends episode that always seemed have some wild thing occur when the friends were hanging around them; one of those guys with unbelievably incredible stories about thing shes done that are actually true. Todd and Tylers Fun Guy is exactly the same. As an example, Guy told TnT that he was either going to hang out in Omaha or perhaps, on a whim, go see the Indianapolis 500 this week. He also talked about going to a Vegas pajama party and shared limited details on a Mardi Gras photo shoot which we can only assume involved a variety of debaucheries. To wrap up the show this morning, Brian came in with his entertainment report. He, Fun Guy, John Paul Morgan, the Fish Heads, Donnie, and Todd and Tyler all participated and seemed like they were having the most fun theyve had all week. It was a great way to wrap up yet another outstanding week of Todd and Tyler shows. Thats it for the Friday update. Make sure to join TnT out at the Anchor Inn on Sunday for the big Rockin on the River summer kickoff party. The festivities begin at noon and will go all night, or until one of the tequila-filled Fish Heads falls off the stage and into the river. The 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show should air at 10pm on Sunday night and the guys will be back on the air on Tuesday to discuss their 3-day Memorial Day weekend at 5:30am. Dont miss it. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
