| Administrator ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-31-2002 Friday 5-31-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing a few things from the newspaper, one of which had a funny line about an accident that was caused by the shifting of a bran product in the back of a semi-truck. They then moved on to a little TV talk, including how most of last nights news seemed to be nothing but fluff. Also early in the show, TnT got a call from Diane the paralyzed lesbian. Before she went into a 10-minute ramble about pretty much nothing, TnT asked her if she wanted to throw out the first pitch at the Royals game theyll be appearing at on Saturday night and she said she would. From there, Brian came in and did todays news as TnT and their gang of merry men discussed each story. Just after 7am, Todd and Tyler began their What Would You Do contest by bringing in a few contestants into the studio. TnT explained what each person would be doing as they attempted to win the trip to Memphis to see next weeks Lewis Vs. Tyson fight, a trip sponsored by Cox Communications and KFC. The first contestant was Mitch who brought in his employee JC. JC put on a small boxing glove and popped Mitch in the face three times. Todd and Tylers reaction to it was hilarious and you could tell, not only from the audio of the glove hitting Mitchs face or from TnTs reaction, but also from the verbal slurring Mitch did after getting whacked, that JC really thumped him good. Just after the second wallop, Todd said, He rocked him! The second contestant was a guy named Brad who brought with him his friend Corey and a staple gun. Were not talking a desk stapler; this was one of the big industrial ones. Corey proceeded to staple some signs onto Brads bare chest and back that read TnT and Z92. Then, to cap it off, Brad then stapled his own sack to his inner thigh! As you might imagine, the reaction from everyone to Brad getting stapled was awesome. The third contestant was a guy named Rob. Initially, he was going to duct tape his legs and rip the hair out, following it up with a nice alcohol rubdown for extra burning. Unfortunately for him, the duct tape didnt work well and neither did the alcohol. Instead, he crushed 40 pop/beer cans on his head in under 30-seconds and then opted to have portions of his legs waxed to remove the hair that way. The final contestant was James, who brought in a leather belt and let Mitch, the earlier contestant who got punched in the face whip him across his back. James took about 10 powerful shots from the belt before calling for mercy. The audio on this one was pretty good too. Before ending their show today, Todd and Tyler replayed the audio clips from each of the contestants and then opened up the phone lines during the last hour and let listeners vote on which contestant would win the trip. By the way, the guy who was supposed to hang 10 vice grip pliers from his nut sack never showed up. Anyway, after taking calls from voters on and off the air for about a half hour, TnT announced the winner of this years What Would You Do contest as Mitch, the guy who got popped in the face three times. Congratulations Mitch! Travis came in to do the sports this morning. His report centered mostly on baseball and the national spelling bee competition. He mentioned that he was going to do a funny little takeoff on the spelling bee where he would have had someone attempt to spell Aksarben but for one reason or another, the idea never made it to the air. Todd and Tyler had a brief conversation with comedian Patrick Spring today. He phoned in to talk about his appearance at the Funny Bone next weekend, which will coincide with a Z-92 night at the Funny Bone. Most of the conversation seemed to center around Patricks bad luck with cheap cars. Im sure hell go into further detail on that when he joins TnT in studio next week. At one point in this mornings show, TnT played a song that was sent to them by a local band called The Noise Next Door. The song was about the Todd and Tyler show and was set to AC/DCs song, TNT. The guys seemed very pleased with the tune and later, they spoke to the lead singer and author of the lyrics. He told the guys about how the song came about and then mentioned a few places youll be able to see the band in the next few weeks. TnT invited the band to come and perform the TNT song live in studio at some point so theres a good chance that will come to fruition in the near future. Carl Banks from the Funny Bone joined TnT in studio today. It has been more than a year since Carl last visited Omaha so the guys had quite a bit of catching up to do. The guys tried to talk Carl into letting them phone his new fiancé but he was too scared to do so, as Todd and Tyler have known Carl for a very long time and are quite familiar with his shady sexual past. The gang then talked about boxing for a bit before moving on into a discussion about Carls acting career. They talked about his Seinfeld appearance, his work in Billboard Daddy, how hot the Olsen twins are going to be the day they turn 18, the new pilot he just shot called Web girls, how producers screw up TV shows, as well as discussing some of the work hes less than impressed with (he played a Plushy on UPN!). He also spent some time talking with TnT about his colonoscopy. It was great having Carl back in studio with Todd and Tyler again. Make sure to catch him at the Funny Bone this weekend. Call 493-8036 for reservations. Todd and Tyler are going to be out at the Eddys Conoco off of Ida Street this afternoon to celebrate the release of the new Todd and Tyler refillable cups for the summer. Due to the fact that this update probably wont be published before the guys leave the Eddys at 1pm, all I have left to say is make sure to visit your local Eddys Conoco and buy yourself a Todd and Tyler refillable cup! Also keep in mind that the guys will be at the Royals game tomorrow in center field on the Coors party platform from 7 to 9pm. Itll only cost you $6 to join them but if you get there early enough, you may be given admittance tickets by Donnie. TnT will be leading their friend Diane the paralyzed lesbian out to the mound so she can throw out the first pitch. That should be interesting so make sure to stop out and see the guys. Well, thats it for the Friday update. Tune in on Sunday night at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and rejoin the guys right here on the mighty Z at 5:30am on Monday as they kick off another week of programming. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
