| Administrator ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 06-11-2002 Tuesday 6-11-02 Todd and Tyler began their show this morning by discussing a few items in the news. One of which was the crazy monk shooter in Missouri. According to what they heard, Channel 3s Chris Eggert had a line in his script last night while reporting on the story that went something along the lines of, Four monks down, two got up. What is that? Is this the news or Thunder Dome, someone said. TnT both seemed seriously disappointed in the line and said that the relaxed atmosphere of Goatee 3 may be the cause for the slip in the writing of serious news reporting. After all, two monks were brutally murdered. TnT went on to speculate that the motive for the murders may have been the Gregorian Chants the monks sing and that the shooter could have just been a neighbor who had to hear the chants all day long. Other than Travis who enjoys the Gregorian Chants, those things will drive anyone to be more clock tower prone. From there, Brian came in with the news and TnT continued their discussion of the stories of the day. Also early in the show, Todd and Tyler mentioned that they were informed of yet another self-promotion thing that Eric Crouch has taken part in. The product is a personalized CD that you can purchase for $30 through one of the Husker web sites on the net. The CDs have an announcer and the voice of Crouch pretending as though they know you, Crouch saying how good of a friend you have become or something of that nature, with your own name edited into various spots on the CD. Well Donnie found a sample audio clip and in the sample, they used the fictitious name of Johnson as the person that particular clip was personalized for. Donnie went to work in the editing room and when he emerged, he had a wonderful piece of audio in which the announcer and Crouch seemed to be talking about Crouchs own Johnson. It was hilarious and new clip was played throughout this mornings show. Matthew Higgins and Christopher Vacanti from the law offices of Cohen, After the story about Matthew getting slammed by the car, TnT opened up their phone lines and spent a couple of hours taking phone calls from their listeners with legal issues. The topics covered today included a variety of stories dealing with divorce, custody battles, alimony and child support, inter-state lawyering and more. Oddly, many of the topics touched on seemed quite familiar to Todd, for reasons unknown to everyone except himself because he doesnt talk about his personal life on the air. Anyway, one of the most interesting stories of the day was a hypothetical question from none other than Travis Justice. As Trav described the hypothetical situation he was hypothetically asking about, he hypothetically tossed in a hypothetical disclaimer to cover his hypothetical ass in what was anything but hypothetically hilarious (that means it was actually, truly funny Wahoo, not hypothetically funny). Poor screwed up Travis. Its amazing what sort of hypothetical resentment one could hypothetically hold towards ones own hypothetical parents, allegedly. Travis came in with sports this morning as well as his For What Its Worth commentary that aired on Channel 3s 10pm newscast last night. Earlier in the show, TnT mentioned that they agreed with everything in Travs For What Its Worth last night because, for the most part, everything Travis said was what TnT have been saying on their show forever. The topics of Travs editorial included how a TV station, even Channel 3, should have stepped up to cover the Huskers Super Regional game, he went on to say that the Universitys greed was partly to blame for the lack of TV coverage because they stood to lose money in their radio broadcast of it, and then Travis covered how the Huskers coming to the CWS will actually hurt Omaha business. His final comment was about the idiots who think the Husker Vs. Clemson game in the CWS will somehow offer the Huskers a chance at redemption for the 82 Orange Bowl. If you would like to comment on Traviss For What Its Worth, leave him a voice mail at 593-2706 or e-mail him at travis@km3.com. Todd and Tyler spoke to Jack Hanna, the main man at the Columbus zoo who you may have seen on Letterman or on his very own show called, Jack Hannas Animal Adventures, which airs locally on Fox 42 at 10:30am Saturday mornings. They discussed all of the traveling he does for his job, covered some of the wild animals hes encountered, discussed his appearances on Letterman over the last 20 years and more. Jack was surprisingly funny, going as far as telling a swallowing joke about birds that dont get pregnant. He also dropped what could have been the S-bomb a handful of times, although it very well could have just been shoot disguised by the way he talks. He was a great guest and really seemed to enjoy talking to TnT so hopefully theyll get him back on the air soon. Until then, you can catch him this Thursday on Letterman. Towards the end of the show, Brian came in with an entertainment report. During that time, the gang discussed the variety of places both Todd and Donnie have lived while theyve been on the air at Z-92. Including his frequent visits to Louisville and his time spent on the Magic Couch, Todd has lived in 11 different places in the last 9 years. Donnie, on stride to shatter Todds record, has lived in 6 places in the last 5 years. The guys also mentioned that they would be recording another Uncensored segment after their show got off the air today in which they will broadcast in a few weeks when they have to leave their show a bit early to catch a plane. Tomorrow is another Dr. Ed day so get your medically related questions all ready to go. Join TnT tomorrow at 5:30am for the Wednesday program and keep in mind that you can catch this mornings show tonight at 10pm as the 3rd Shift Replay. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
