| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 06-14-2002 Friday 6-14-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by mentioning that Brian hadnt arrived to work yet. Black Ton was there though and later, Joe from Blue House showed up but Brian was MIA. The guys were quite pissed and had Donnie try to call him a few times. While they waited to hear from Brian, they reread an e-mail that was sent to them late in yesterdays show that was all about local TV news ladies and whether or not they trimmed or had the old wolf puss going on. The guys then spent some time speculating about the wolf puss-ness of various national TV news ladies. It was determined during that conversation that the universal sound effect that should be associated with the term wolf puss would now be that of a parachute opening. While still waiting for Brian to show up, TnT talked about a story from the paper that detailed the events of an Alabama couple. In the story, the couple was fighting and the woman used a utility knife to stab her boyfriend. She then proceeded to cut off his ass cheeks. Yes, his damn ass cheeks. Off. Gone. She cut off his freakn ass cheeks! As you can imagine, TnT had lots to say about the disturbing story. Donnie even created an awesome sound effect of what it may have sounded like when the woman de-assed her man. Shortly thereafter, Brian showed up and began his 6am newscast at around 7pm. As mentioned earlier, Joe from Blue House came by this morning and with him, he brought his new fiancé. Just before Brian began his newscast, Donnie ran into the studio and surprised the hell out of everyone. He began performing a wedding ceremony. Although I wasnt there in person to see their reaction, from the sounds of it when Donnie began the ceremony you could tell that Todd and Tylers heads were cocked in confusion like a dog hearing a far-off whistle. Asked Donnie what he was doing and then realized that he and Joe had planned the on-air wedding behind their backs. It took only a few minutes for Donnie to perform the wedding, sanctioned by the Church of Universal Life of Modesto, CA, but it was totally awesome. TnT said that Joe and his new wife were shaking a bit during the ceremony but once it was all done and they were pronounced man and wife, they seemed very happy. From there, Joe went on to tell TnT about why they chose to get married on the air and why they had all kept it a surprise, even from TnT. Congrats to Joe and his new wife Lisa! Help them celebrate this weekend by going out to Figbys and seeing Blue House perform! Former Husker and current Green Bay Packer Scott Frost joined TnT in studio this morning at about 7:30am. Right from the start, TnT were open about all the crap they had given Frost when he was a Husker. They detailed many of the things they said and Frosty actually though it was all pretty funny. He said he used to listen to them when he was in town and had many people telling him various things TnT had said about him. Surprisingly, he wasnt pissed at all about any of it. He didnt even care that they had dubbed his mother Olga and put her in the March Madmen a few years ago. Throughout Frosts visit, which was the rest of the show, he talked with TnT about a variety of things from his days as a Husker. He talked of the fans, took phone calls from listeners, discussed the comparisons between NFL fans and Husker fans, talked about when he wrecked his car into the forklift, and more. He also talked about his career so far in the NFL and gave Donnie a hard time about the famous Frost, you suck comments he made while on his honeymoon. Actually, Frost gave Donnie a hard time all morning, at one point demanding that he leave and go pick him up some CWS tickets. Frosty also signed Todds picture of the Arizona State game where the Huskers got whacked 19 to zip. All in all, Scott Frost was super cool, played along very well with TnT, and seemed to get their show and enjoy being on the air with them. Now that the guys have befriended yet another former Husker, perhaps well hear more from Frost on the Todd and Tyler show in the future. TnT spoke to Dave Rimington of Boomer Esiasons Cystic Fibrosis foundation today. Hes coming to town for the big charity golf tournament taking place at Quarry Oaks on June 24th. He ran down the list of celebrity/athletes who will be participating this year and then gave out information on how to get in contact with him for ticket information. The phone number is 330-6164. By the way, TnT will be speaking to Boomer Esiason next Friday and Rimington said he would probably swing by the studio for a visit on that day as well. Jay Karnes from the FX show The Shield spoke to TnT this morning about the new cop show. Jays originally from Omaha, a Brown Eye Talbert graduate, who moved on to go to college in Kansas before moving out to LA to become an actor back in 89. Todd and Tyler were both turned onto the show by Donnie and discussed the details of the program with Jay, who plays a cop named Dutch. TnT asked how FX was able to get away with some of the language and subject matter that is on The Shield, with Jay responding that theyre just trying to push the envelope. They went over some story lines and plot details as well as talking about the upcoming filming of season 2 taking place in September. Jay was very cool and from the sounds of it, The Shield is NYPD Blue with more hookers and crack. Check it out on FX Mondays at 9pm. Larry the Cable Guy checked in today with a commentary centered on Janet Renos speaking engagements in Florida. It was pretty funny for yet another Janet Reno commentary. Also, Cable Guy drooled over Scott Frost being in studio, disturbing Scott a bit when Larry explained the story about how when he used to have sex with his ex-girlfriend, he would make her wear a foam football helmet that Frosty had once signed. More from Larry next week. Jeff Burghart from the Funny Bone came by the station today and hung out with TnT. He was definitely one of the best impressionists Ive ever heard on the TnT show. He totally named the voice of Ozzy, Bobcat, Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, and more but by far the biggest hit of the day was his Ozzy. There is just no way to describe it. He was flat out amazing! So good, in fact, that TnT had him do Ozzy saying, I dont know just so they could hot button it and stick it in the computer for alter use. I know I say this every week when the Funny Bone comedian comes in but seriously, this guy was hilarious. Youve all got to get out to the Funny Bone to see his show this weekend. Call the Bone Phone right now at 493-8036. Towards the end of the show, the band called The Noize Next Door stopped in and played a couple of songs for TnT, which included their Todd and Tyler Show theme song set to the tune of AC/DCs TNT. They sounded awesome! The band is playing at Boondockers this weekend and will be at the Anchor next Saturday. Make an effort to get out and see them. You wont be disappointed. Also, you can get details about the band as well as their schedule by visiting About Us. Well, thats it for the Friday update. Tune in on Sunday night for the 3rd Shift Replay and rejoin TnT on Monday at 5:30am as they kick off a new week of shows. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
