| Administrator ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 07-01-2002 Monday 7-1-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing some things that took place while they were on vacation. To begin with, several famous people died while the guys were out of town. Oddly, TnT had received phone calls from each of them while they were on vacation so the guys played the voice mails left for them by John Entwistle of the Who, actress Rosemary Clooney, baseball player Darryl Kile, and the oldest Heisman trophy winner Jay Berwanger. What a coincidence that all those people phoned TnT just before their deaths when TnT were out of town. Bummer. Anyway, they talked a little about each persons death but focused mainly on Entwistle, who died in Vegas just before the Who were to kick off a new tour. As the show continued, the guys played the phone calls a few more times. The guys moved on to discuss a few other things that they missed while gone. Donnie came in and told them all about the RockFest concert that took place at the Anchor Inn last week. After Donnie gave his shirt to a woman in the crowd, her boyfriend slipped him a baggie full of blow for no reason. Donnie said that he was sure it was cocaine, not crank as TnT seemed to believe it was, and mentioned that he threw it in the dumpster because he doesnt do illegal drugs (*cough Whip-Its cough*). He later seemed to bum out when TnT said he could have probably traded the baggie for some prescription painkillers. The guys then spent a little time talking about their vacations. Tyler went back home to hang out with his family in Pennsylvania. Once he returned, he spent about a day and a half in bed watching TV, a little vacation from his vacation. Todd went camping in western Nebraska with a few of his kids. He met up with some Colorado buddies there and seemed to have a good time, with the exception of peeing his sleeping bag after a night of beer drinking in the woods. When asked if his sleeping bag still stunk like piss the next night, Todd said No, it was non-odorous beer pee and said that a day of hanging in the sun had let the bag air out. Rozz from the Midwest Motorcycle Raffle and Steve from the Fish Heads stopped by the studio this morning and hung out fir a bit. Rozz mentioned that there are only about 100 tickets left of 1300 for your chance to win one of the 3 Harleys theyre raffling off this summer. Those tickets will be available at all Eddys Conoco stations, the Anchor Inn, and Omahas Harley shop. The first bike will be given away at the Anchor on Friday night with Todd and Tyler hosting the event. The others will be given away sometime in September. After getting in all the plugs for the Raffle and the Fish Heads, the gang spent some time talking about motorcycles. Rozz talked about the difficulty she had when learning to ride as well as discussing puttingem down at poker runs, Steve mentioned the time he drove down Maple Street standing up on a bike (yes, he crashed), and TnT discussed how people have been trying to get them to ride for years but theyre a little worried its a bit late for them to pick it up. Travis came in today and provided us with a sports report. During his time with TnT today the gang discussed the newest issue of The Sporting News, which finally has some information about this years upcoming football season. Everyone seemed pleased that the college baseball season is finally over so now the local media can begin to focus on whats really important, college football. According to the magazine, the Huskers are thought to finish somewhere in the teens this year, something that didnt seem to surprise anyone considering this years suspected holes in both offence and defense. Later in the show, Brian returned with his entertainment report. At one point in the segment, he and TnT got into a discussion about the old Michael Landon movie, The Loneliest Runner. No one could remember if that was an autobiographical story about Michael Landons life but after getting some conformation via the e-mail, they found out that it was. There was plenty of other hilarious banter during the entertainment report as well but I had a little bit of a battery meltdown in my headphones so I may have missed a minute or two. Earlier in the show, TnT had spoken to Donnie about the RockFest concert that took place at the Anchor Inn last week. Donnie seemed to think it was a rather good show with the exception of the plethora of mullets milling about and the fact that someone passed him a baggie of cocaine. Although it sounded like Donnie didnt enjoy LA Guns and thought the lead singer for Firehouse was a fat piece of dung, he had good things to say about the event overall. Before closing the show, TnT brought in Jessica Dol, who was also at the event, to discuss what she thought of the concert. Jessica said she also enjoyed the concert and mentioned that either at the RockFest concert or the other concert that has been advertised on Z lately in a smaller town out west, she saw some guys nut sack. Of course as we all know, its not Jeremys nut sack shes seeing anymore. In fact, now that shes single again, Jessica gave out over the air the full name of a man she met at RockFest that she wanted to hook up with. So if your name happens to be Scott Rosendall, give Jessica a call because she wants to mount up, buddy! Well, thats it for the Monday update. Its great to have Todd and Tyler back on the air. Yes, the Best Of ran while they were gone and that was excellent but theres nothing like a fresh, up-to-the-minute TnT show to get your pants wiggling every morning. Keep in mind that you can catch the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show tonight at 10pm and make sure to rejoin TnT tomorrow at 5:30am for the Tuesday edition of their show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
