| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 07-08-2002 Monday 7-8-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing their weekends. With the exception of their Friday night Harley giveaway at the Anchor, a trip to the mall for Tyler, and Todd buying a truckload of granite, the guys didnt do too much on Saturday and Sunday due to the weather. After some discussion of the oppressive heat, the guys talked a little bit about the Z-Bash, as they have heard of some complains about the ticket prices. The guys mentioned that they dont like the idea of the radio station jacking the prices up for the tickets week after week so they made an executive decision to have the ticket prices remain at $24 until the day of the show. With their bosses out of town, they felt relatively safe in making their decision but things could change as the bosses filter back into work. Also early in the show, TnT mentioned that James the Giant Peachs wife was going to be induced this morning at 6am. They phoned the Peach slightly after that to see how things were going. To their surprise, Peach said that the hospital had called and postponed the labor inducement until some point later in the morning. In all likelihood, the Peach will be a new dad by the start of tomorrows show. After Brians newscast, the guys spent some time discussing VH1s top 100 one hit wonders list, a program that aired over the weekend. TnT started off at song 100 on the list and worked their way down to 20 before calling it quits due to time limitations on this mornings show. As they went through each song, they played a clip of the tune and spent time talking about it, having a surprisingly large number of the tunes on file. Consequently, the Zee Gees reemerged often and sang quite a few of the songs throughout the show today. TnT mentioned that they will review the top 20 on tomorrows show. Mike West from the Buy.com golf tournament joined TnT in studio during Traviss sportscast. He spent some time talking with the guys about a few of the comments they made regarding the tournament last week. Mike explained that the reason they ask their volunteers to pay for their shirts is so the volunteers will actually show up and help out, not just pick up their shirts and go home. That made sense to TnT. Mike went on to clear up a few other things about the tournament and mentioned that he is going to make one of the holes a Todd and Tyler hole and anyone wishing to volunteer to me a Marshal on the TnT hole can do so by calling Amy at 399-1800. They also have a volunteer hotline with information that can be reached by phoning 329-4979. BTW, the Buy.com golf tournament will take place August 1st through the 4th this year and we may be hearing from Mike again as the tournament gets nearer, as TnT invited him to stop up again in the coming weeks. Larry the Cable Guy checked in today for the first time in about two weeks. He delivered a commentary on how some people want to change the name of The Hunchback of Notre Dame to The Bell Ringer of Notre Dame to avoid upsetting hunchbacks. It was rather funny and TnT spent the remainder of their show in search of a hunchback, unfortunately to no avail. Rozz from the Midwest Motorcycle Raffle came in and hung out with TnT for a bit. They spent some time talking about the first Harley giveaway that took place at the Anchor Inn on Friday night. TnT seemed a bit disappointed that the guy who won the first of 3 motorcycles wasnt actually at the Anchor Inn to accept his prize. Rozz talked about getting in contact with him after the fact and then reminded everyone that the other two motorcycles will be raffled off on September 1st and 14th. If you didnt get your ticket yet, youre now out of luck because all 1300 have been sold. Blain Capatch, the new host of Comedy Centrals Beat The Geeks spoke to TnT this morning. The new season of the show begins tonight so the guys spent some time discussing the geeks who appear on the program, the research the writers do to prepare, Blains comedy career, and how he became the new host. He was a pretty cool guy and sounds like hell make a great host for the very geeky quiz program. Check it out on Comedy Central tonight. While taking part in the Ralston 4th of July parade this year, TnT were behind a load of the Ralston Community Theater people. They are putting on a performance of Grease this year and TnT invited a couple of them up this morning to talk about their final performances taking place this weekend. The actors playing the parts of Rizzo, Frenchy, and Kenickie came in to talk about the show and then sang a great version of Summer Lovin for TnT. You can catch the final performances taking place Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm at the Bellevue Little Theater. Tickets and/or information can be obtained by phoning 339-5867. Towards the end of the show, TnT spoke to character actor Bill McKinney. He is best known for his role as the guy who railed Ned Beatty in Deliverance, although hes been in some 60 movies over his career. He talked about a variety of rolls hes played, the 7 Eastwood films hes appeared in, the good guy to bad guy ratio of characters hes played and more. When TnT asked about the roll in Deliverance, he laughed at the experience of pounding Ned Beattys bum. It was very funny. Bill seemed like a pretty cool old guy and with the exception of his lack of hearing, the interview went off without a hitch. For further information on Bill, you can visit his hilariously titled web site at Squeal like a pig.com. Tomorrow TnT will be visited by the lawyers from Cohen, Vacanti, Higgins, and Shattuck so have your child support and divorce questions at hand. Theyll also wrap up the top 100 one hit wonders list from VH1. It should be another stellar show so make sure to tune in at 5:30am. Keep in mind that if you missed this mornings show, you can catch the 3rd Shift Replay tonight at 10pm. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
