| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 07-19-2002 Friday 7-19-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with some talk about the Omaha Beef. According to an article in the paper, the Beef owner has put the franchise up for sale. As TnT discussed the sale, Ray Charles checked in a few times and offered up a couple of bids for the team, outbidding himself in most cases. Several callers phoned in to talk about the Beef and make their own bids on the franchise as well. Most of them, however, were unable to beat Rays highest bid of $70. Brian came in with the news report early in todays show. One story in particular sparked a discussion about racial profiling. The story was about how a couple of Sistas were pulled over for apparently no reason and when the officer searched their vehicle, he found 10 pounds of blow, which lead to an arrest. Well, the two ladies could end up getting off because theyre claiming that if it wasnt for the fact that they were racially profiled, which lead to the police officer stopping them, they wouldnt have gotten caught. The guys spent some time calculating the street value of the cocaine they got caught with and then discussed racial profiling in general. They took some calls from listeners, including one from their lawyer friend Candy, who filled them in on the various aspects of the case. Also early in the show, two police officers named Brian Williams and Scott Wagner stopped by the station to tell TnT about a special event this weekend. Taking place at both Crossroads and Westroads malls on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday between noon and 6pm, they are going to be at the two malls giving parents Kid Care ID Kits. The kits are designed to help parents and police in case of a kidnapping by having a current photo of the child, as well as fingerprints and a detailed description of their body dimensions. Any parent is welcome to stop by and see the officers this weekend, regardless of how old your child is. Along with giving the details of their events this weekend, the two officers talked with TnT about some of the kidnappings that have been in the news recently as well as discussing the story from earlier in the program about the two women who may be getting off on their drug charges because of racial profiling. Todd and Tyler spoke to a man named Doug Stanhope this morning. He is the host of a television show that will be airing on Fox tonight at 7pm called Invasion of the Hidden Cameras. According to Doug, the show was recorded three years ago and Fox let it sit on the shelf until now. He described the premise of the program, similar to Spy TV, and gave a few examples of the types of hidden camera stunts they pulled. Before ending the call, he tried to work in a couple of plugs for a lame comedy club that used to be in town but TnT dumped him with their delay button. They let him go and seemed pretty pissed about the whole thing, understandably. Watch Dougs show on Fox tonight or better yet, call the best comedy club in the universe, the Funny Bone, at 493-8036 and make reservations to see Medicine Hat. Tyler made a personal announcement this morning that some of you may have known about already. Over the past few months, close listeners might have been able to pick up on the occasional hint or moment of brief silence when babies were mentioned. Well, Tyler announced this morning that his fiancé Becky is pregnant! Congratulations Becky and Tyler! Shes somewhere around 4 months along already and according to the doctors, shes due sometime around the 14th of December. Tyler spent some time talking about going to the sonogram yesterday in which they found out the sex of their child. He told a rather funny story about it, in fact. He said that he was told to look for three lines in the sonogram. If you see three lines, its a girl because those three lines will be the image of the unborn childs labia. As they were looking, he spotted a fibia (leg bone) and said, I see a penis. Moments later, he saw the three lines of his unborn babys pie and realized he is going to be the father of a little girl! Weve got labia, was his next proclamation. From there, Tyler then talked about what they plan to name their baby. At first he said it would be Phyllis Devaney Utah but later stated the real name they have picked out to be Madison Joann. Madison because it rocks and Joann after Tylers mother. As the conversation continued, Tyler said that the nurse who did the sonogram printed him off a copy of it. She wrote, Think pink on the copy and gave it to Tyler. He said at first he thought, How cool, the nurse is making a clever pie reference because our babys a girl. It took him 45 minutes to realize that he had made a mistake. The pink reference wasnt vaginally related, it was actually a reference to the old pink is for girls, blue is for boys thing. He found it rather amusing and commented about how the things they talk about on the radio show have begun to spill over into their normal lives. Later in the show, TnT brought in a co-worker named JJ. She is leaving for a mid-day girl job at an Arizona radio station so today was her last day. TnT talked with her about the new gig, her focus on her career, and thanked her for all of her instrumental work in helping with this years Dodge Ball games. As they continued their conversation, they found out that shes a virgin. Im sure you can imagine the fun TnT had with that little fact. At one point, Donnie phoned in as the morning duo from the AZ station JJ will be working at and said that they had 107 guys and a midget ready to bust her hymen. Later, TnT found out that JJ has never been drunk and seemed to put two and two together regarding her virginity. Before leaving, they wished her luck in her new career. Travis came in with a sports report this morning. When he arrived, TnT spent some time discussing an article from CNNSI about Tom Osbornes recent statements regarding steroid use in the major league. He wants to get Congress to step in and force testing on the athletes. The article ripped Osborne, calling him a hypocrite and stating that the Husker football team was often thought of as a bunch of juicers back when Osborne had the wheel. After all, the skinny farm boys that came to the university ended up as monstrous mountains of linemen in quite a short time. The gang spent some time discussing the article from CNNSI and Osbornes hypocrisy. After the sports report, Slave Boy Jeremy joined TnT in the studio. As you may have heard, Jeremys single again and has yet to pick up any women. TnT gave him a hard time this morning for having no game whatsoever, something Jeremy didnt disagree with, and then to remind him of exactly how little game he has, Todd and Tyler brought out the classic Sienna clip from back in the days of Volenec. They played the clip, talked about putting it on their next CD, and then listened to Jeremy wine about how the rest of his day would be ruined because everyone will once again pile on him for being such a sucker that morning. Towards the end of the show, James the Giant Peach introduced Todd and Tyler to the new station intern. Her name is Hilary and shes a 21-year-old, skinny, blonde hottie. While the guys spent some time getting to know her, they found out that she attended Oklahoma State. When they asked if she would route for her schools team when they played the Huskers, she said no. Todd and Tyler then flipped out on her for being a blinded Husker fan, yelled at her for not supporting the school she attended, and then gave her the hilarious nickname of Big Country. Hopefully Tyler wont screw up the word country when referring to the new intern like he did when trying to say country artist a few months back. Weve already got Big Pussy. We dont wanna have a Big
well, you get the picture. Todd and Tyler wrapped up their show this morning with some entertainment news. Before leaving the air, they phoned another staff member who is leaving the station. Dina, the receptionist, is headed to Kansas City with her fiancé. They spoke to her about the move and then told her she should slack off for the rest of the day. What are they going to do? Fire you? Todd and Tyler are going to be out at the Johnny tomorrow night on the Coors Light Party Deck before the Royals Game. Matt Wallace and the Brown Guys, as well as the new intern, Big Country,ll join them. Stop on out and see them. Also, you can catch TnT out at the Tim ONeill Auto and Motor Sports World event between noon and 2pm on Saturday afternoon. Theyre going to be racing mud buggies of some sort, as well as watching a variety of other activities including quad races, funky cycles, and more mud fun. Get out and see the guys this weekend. Thats it for the Friday edition of the update. Tune in on Sunday night at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and rejoin TnT at 5:30am for the Monday program. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
