| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 07-30-2002 Tuesday 7-30-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by mentioning that the ticket price for the Z-Bash will remain $19.50 until this Sunday. From there, they decided to play a little game in the studio and determine what order the bands performing at this years Z-Bash would take the stage. They had some sort of Wheel Of Fortune wheel rigged up with the names of this years performers on it and with a flick of the wrist, Quiet Riot was selected as the opener. Following them will be a Noise Next Door and from there, Jack Russell, Eddy Money and Cheap Trick will take the stage before Journey closes the show. After determining the order of the performers, the guys then used the wheel to see who would be on stage when other events take place. Such events included when Donnie would propose to someone, when a female would Play Do Fun Factory herself and poop through a fence, when Todd would pass out in the chub, which bands manager TnT would get in a fight with, and which of the bands would hit on Todd and Tylers lovely ladies. Most of the events asked about by the magic wheel were predicted to happen during Quiet Riots performance, which was very funny considering theyre starting off the show at 11:30am or so. TnT also seemed to get a kick out of the wheels prediction that the local band Noise Next Door would be the ones hitting on their ladies. Also early in todays show, the guys mentioned that they will be at the Anchor Inn tonight for the Loverboy concert. Tyler talked about meeting the band years ago at a radio geek back stage thing, where he talked hockey with one of the Loverboy guys. He also revealed a tidbit of dirt about himself that as far as I can recall, he has never mentioned on the air before. Tyler said that back when he had met Loverboy, his on-air name at the radio station he was working for was Mondo Mike. Hopefully we listeners will do everything in our power to keep Mondo a part of the TnT show vernacular. Weve finally got something to give Tyler crap about! Brian rejoined TnT this morning and before beginning his first newscast, he gave the guys a little recap of the Mellencamp show he attended in KC over the weekend. Oddly, Brian couldnt seem to remember any details of the show one might think you should be able to remember. TnT asked him about the first and last songs Mellencamp played, which Brian couldnt recall. He also didnt remember much about any of the other tunes on the play list. That amused TnT immensely. The guys then spent some time sharing stories about their own Mellencamp encounters in their radio career history. When Brian began the news, TnT spent some time discussing the stories in the report. Also during that portion of the show, the guys had a lengthy conversation that included talk of buzzards living in Todds neighborhood, fat 3-year-olds, and numbing brown eyes. They also talked at length about KM3s news story last night that showed a ham foot with an open sore on it during the 5 and 10pm newscasts. Everyone who saw the ham foot story seemed repulsed by it, giving KM3 a hard time about their selection of the story as well as choosing to show video of the disgusting extremity during the 5pm show, when people might be eating dinner. Travis came in later in the program to provide a sports report but because the ham foot story was on his station, TnT started their interaction with Attaboy this morning by discussing the story with him. Trav said that he, too, was repulsed by the ham foot story and asked some people in the newsroom why they put such a thing on the air. As they continued talking about the details of the gross foot with an open wound that was being prodded by a pair of needle nose pliers, Mary Williams of KM3 phoned the show. She was the one who actually did the story about the foot as part of a Monday night health segment theyre doing over at 3 now. She had received a call from someone who was listening to TnT and had warned her that they were talking about her story so she called in to chat about it with the guys. During their discussion, TnT asked her if she would be willing to do a story on Brians Enemy Mine cist but she seemed disgusted at the idea. TnT laughed, stating that a cist wouldnt be any nastier than the open wound ham foot she aired last night. Then, TnT asked Mary if she might be interested in airing a story about Donnies skin tag riddled penis. She then backed off completely, told TnT to keep it clean, and ended her phone call with a pleasantry. It was pretty funny stuff. Whipping out your fat ham foot in front of Mary Williams is okay but dont say penis while talking to her over the phone. Travis eventually got around to doing his sports report. Included in his segment today was his For What Its Worth commentary that aired on last nights 10pm KM3 newscast. The topics he covered included how people should turn their cell phones off at the upcoming Omaha Classic, the big Husker QB controversy thats brewing in the minds of Husker fans this season, and how the WNBA is boring basketball. If you would like to comment on any of these topics, you can e-mail Attaboy at travis@km3.com or leave him a voice mail at 593-2706. Wex joined TnT in studio this morning and told the guys about his recent trip across Nebraska. He and his family went to see Mt. Rushmore and saw a few of the landmarks Nebraska has to offer as well, such as Carhenge, Chimney Rock, and Crazy Horse. He talked about doing a little fishing and discussed the mind numbing drive across the state. He mentioned that the family played the license plate game and found 48 of 50! Everyone was amused how even as adults, they all still get excited about a successful round of the license plate game. Earlier, the guys had made a reference to an e-mail someone had sent them linking them to the web site of the Nebraska Radio Hall Of Fame. They pulled up the web site later in the show and spent some time talking about it. The web site listed everyone inducted in 2001, many of which TnT had never heard of before. They began to wonder exactly what it takes to get into the Nebraska Radio Hall Of Fame and after some discussion, they came to the conclusion that anyone can get on the list, provided you worked in radio for at least a day. TnT talked about how they have no desire to be nominated for the Nebraska Radio Hall Of Fame because they thought the whole idea was kind of stupid. People who have had absolutely no impact on radio, such as old guys who have done farm reports in Norfolk or a famous school closing announcer, were on the list and they wouldnt want to be put in the same classification as those guys. To wrap up the show, Brian rejoined Todd and Tyler with the e-news. That, and the talk about a variety of other things that took place on todays show made for a very entertaining last hour of the program. Before leaving the air, the guys brought in sales weasel Dan Malloy to discuss his recent outings to the Eagles and Foreigner concerts, two bands he didnt know much of the music from. TnT gave him a hard time about that and then moved on into a discussion about whether or not there are any Polaroids of Dan naked. It was kind of creepy. Keep in mind that Todd and Tyler will be down at the Anchor Inn tonight at about 7pm for the Loverboy concert. It should be a great show so make sure to get out there tonight. Feel free to stop by and say hi to Mondo and Lat, too. Tomorrow TnT will be joined by everyones favorite medical professional, Dr. Ed. They will also be speaking with the Music Geek from Comedy Centrals show, Beat The Geeks. Make sure to join the guys at 5:30am for the Wednesday edition of the Todd and Tyler show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
