Todd and Tyler returned to the air this morning after being on vacation last week and opened their show by discussing when they got back into town. Tyler arrived home from Pennsylvania on Wednesday so he spent 3 days painting what will become the baby room in his home. Todd got back from an Alaskan fishing trip on Saturday morning. From there, they spent some time talking about their trips. Tyler pissed off the hottest stewardess ever by bitching about sitting next to a lady and her child on the plane and he also sat next to a fat guy who farted when he slept. Todd was disoriented by the way the sun worked in Alaska, figuring it must be broken because it was up most of the time. Perhaps it was being on vacation for a week, the broken sun and the sleeping fat guy farts, or maybe the overnight storm that seemed to have woken everyone up in the middle of the night, but everyone was in a slightly giddy, goofy mood all morning long. It made for one hell of a show, as always.

Brian came in with the news early in the show. Beforehand, though, TnT spent some time talking about ‘’60 Minutes’’ last night. After seeing the show, it seemed to them that the Bush administration is ridiculously not allowing racial profiling of Arab men in the airports. They both talked about their disappointment in this because it was, after all, Arab men who carried out the terrorist attacks. Why not check them in the airports? If they’re not doing anything wrong, they can carry on but if they are, wouldn’t racially profiling them possibly stop such attacks in the future, if not just deterring them? Brian then read this morning’s newscast, while TnT commented on the stories.

There was quite a bit of talk about the upcoming Z-Bash this morning. With the event less than a week away, taking place this Sunday at Levi Carter Park, TnT reminded everyone to get their tickets before the prices go up on the day of the show. They’re currently at $24 or $24.50 and are available at all Burger King locations in the area. TnT also mentioned that the sexy little Z-Bash ‘’baby doll’’ shirts are available for purchase and any lady wearing one to the Z-Bash will get discounted drinks, including beer. Stay tuned all week for further Z-Bash talk.

When Travis arrived later in the show, the guys spent some time reading over a couple of hate e-mails regarding him that had come in from the listeners while TnT were gone. The first e-mail bashed him for his comments about how the Huskers might end up being better this year than last. TnT didn’t seem to agree with Trav on that, considering the Huskers lost a Heisman QB, but after Trav explained his point of view, TnT understood where he was coming from. The other e-mail viciously attacked Attaboy and from the sounds of it, everyone thought Donnie might as well have written it because he agreed with nearly 100% of the e-mailer’s comments.

Aside from taking a thrashing from the e-mails, Travis did his sports report. He also gave Brian a pair of tickets to see the Texans play the Chiefs in KC on Saturday, tickets Brian said he might not be able to use because of prior plans to attend a wedding on Saturday.

On HBO last night, a new episode of ‘’Sex and the City’’ aired. Todd missed it but Tyler caught the program and thought the subject of the show might make for interesting conversation. The guys talked about a scene from the show where one of the women was receiving oral sex from a guy and when he finished her off, he went up to kiss her without wiping off his face. The character freaked out and wouldn’t let him do it. TnT then spent some time discussing post oral sex kissing etiquette and opened up the phone lines to their listeners. Basically, they wanted to know if women in general have a problem with kissing their men after oral sex. To their surprise and delight, most of the females who called in didn’t seem to have a problem with it, although one or two mentioned that a courtesy face wipe pre kiss might not be a bad idea. TnT tried to find out how the topic relates in the Travis Justice home, but Trav didn’t seem all that willing to give up that information on the air.

Several months ago Todd and Tyler received a phone call from a lady who had confused their 800 number with that of some sort of home appliance place and had tried to purchase a water heater from them. It happened to them again this morning. An east coast sounding guy spent a couple of minutes being toyed with by TnT as he attempted to purchase a water heater from them. As the conversation continued, the guys decided to stop screwing around with the guy because he sounded pretty nice. They told him that he’d misdialed and had actually called the radio station. The caller seemed to be amused at his error and then asked TnT to send him a t-shirt as a souvenir, to which TnT replied that they would. Before letting him go, though, TnT asked what 800 number he was trying to dial (in an attempt to see how close the water heater company’s number is to theirs). They were quite surprised when the guy gave them a number so distinctively different from their number that in order to misdial it, one would have to turn the phone’s number pad completely upside down.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning. Before he began, he and TnT small talked for a bit, discussing a variety of topics including his upcoming trip to the Omaha Funny Bone, how it will conflict with a Husker game that day, and he also touched on the progress of his big screen movie to be released in late October. Larry’s commentary this morning was about how the fat Dixie Chick has been bitching about a Toby Keith song lyric, ‘’boot in the ass’’, is giving country music in general a neck-like reputation.

Towards the end of the show, TnT played some audio from a video clip of their friend Michael Scott, currently working on TV in Dallas TX. The clip was from the morning show and featured Michael Scott with an animal guy. The animal guy was showing Michael a snake when some sort of lizard jumped from the display table onto Michael Scott’s body, causing him to freak out and drop the F-bomb on TV. TnT will most likely try to get in touch with Michael Scott to discuss the video in the near future so stay tuned.

Brian returned later in the show with the entertainment news. During his report, the gang spent some time talking about Brian’s back cist. They thought they’d come up with a name for it, as it’s grown to the size of a Kuato-like creature similar to what can be seen in the movie ‘’Total Recall.’’ After bantering around a couple of really good ideas, a caller checked in and suggested John Stockton as the name. It was just silly enough to work for TnT so Brian’s cist is now known as Stockton. From there, Brian continued with the e-news and the gang had a lengthy discussion about how if it were up to them, the Industrial Revolution would have never got off the ground and everyone would still be wearing hides sewn with bone needles. I’m so glad the guys are back in town!

Tomorrow Todd and Tyler will be joined by a couple of the guys from Cohen,
Vacanti, Higgins, Shattuck and they may also be speaking with Donnie’s new best friend, former Husker QB and current Green Bay Packer, Scott Frost.
