| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 09-24-2002 Tuesday 9-24-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a little talk about last nightÂ’s Monday Night Football appearance at BrewskyÂ’s. They had great turnout for the game, which included a visit from another 2003 Todd and Tyler calendar contestant. The guys then mentioned that the Husker line has moved a bit since yesterday and they speculated that the reason for its fluctuation is because thereÂ’s more money being put on Iowa State, not a good sign for Husker fans. Also early in the show, TnT mentioned that they had heard some bad news regarding an accident involving seven Nebraska football players but because the facts were still coming in, they held off until BrianÂ’s newscast before discussing it. When BW came in with his newscast, he began his report by giving the details of the accident involving the Nebraska football players. As it turns out, the accident actually involved seven Nebraska State Golden Rods. Evidentially, after their 105 point victory last night against Michigan, a group of them got all hammered up, piled into the back of a truck and were killed when the truck swerved into a parked combine on the side of the road. Several listeners checked in to inform TnT that they were assholes for leading everyone to believe that some Huskers had died and as you might imagine, TnT got a kick out of those calls. BW continued with the newscast, peppering it with a variety of AIDS jokes. Consequently, his American Asshole score skyrocketed. They also spent some time discussing the disappearance of WayneÂ’s own Roger Van, obviously trying to escape to someoneÂ’s basement before heÂ’s sentenced to 80-some years for imprisoning his gimp. The gang then wrapped up the news with a conversation about people having premonitions and experiences with DéjÃ* vu. I have no idea how it occurred but that discussion morphed into the guys talking about what they wanted to be when they were little kids. They all seemed to agree that it was strange of their schools and guidance councilors to ask them what they wanted to do with the rest of their lives when they were only 12-years-old and pointed out that their choices at the time were far from the career paths they actually chose. Former 42 news anchor and current spokesperson for the Nebraska Humane Society, Pam Wiese stopped by the studio today and hung out with TnT for a couple of hours. The Nebraska Humane Society is holding a walk on Sunday in Elmwood Park, beginning at 11am, to help raise money for their cause. Pam shared all of the details about the event and then joined in on the topics of the day. She, BW, and Travis shared some memories of their days at 42, she then talked with TnT about the hair style trends of female TV news anchors, TnT took some calls from listeners who had questions for Pam regarding the Humane Society and the upcoming walk, and the guys also discussed how sheÂ’s been hooked up with her current boyfriend for four years, a friend of TnTÂ’s and a photographer for the paper. Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and delivered a commentary on the woman who was caught beating the snot out of her 4-year-old in the parking lot last week. I donÂ’t think Larry is scheduled to check in tomorrow so we probably wonÂ’t be hearing from him until TnT return to the airwaves next Tuesday. Travis came in with a sports report. During that time, TnT had him read over a list from ESPN Magazine detailing the 10 most memorable Eric Crouch moments in the NFL. It was a very funny list and could only have been funnier if TnT had written it themselves, although the list seemed to echo many of the thoughts the guys have on CrouchÂ’s NFL career anyway. Tyler is getting married this weekend so there was some talk about weddings on this morningÂ’s show. TnT asked Pam Wiese whether or not sheÂ’s been pushing for a ring, considering sheÂ’s been with her boyfriend for 4 years. It sounded like she hasnÂ’t been pushing for a ring but wouldnÂ’t mind getting one. BW returned later in the show with an entertainment report. There was talk of who Doogie Houser lost his virginity to during the ‘’This Day In HistoryÂ’Â’ segment. That prompted an Internet search for photos of the hottie. After some initial confusion between that actress and the one who played Winnie Cooper on ‘’The Wonder YearsÂ’Â’ the guys reached a web site that cleared things up for them. There was, however, no photograph of DoogieÂ’s girlfriend, which left the guys feeling a little bummed out. Also during the e-news, Brian read over a list of the 50 sexiest TV stars as reported by TV Guide. As he read through the list of names, Todd and Tyler discussed the rolls played by each actor and actress, occasionally disagreeing with TV GuideÂ’s placement of various hotties. BW wrapped up the loopy e-news with a one-man Nebraska Sex Offender registry. Before the end of the show, TnT received a phone call from a listener who said he was just about to hire the guy in BrianÂ’s sex offender registry and thanked TnT for informing him of the manÂ’s crime. Brian mentioned that he was a bit worried that the sex offender might come after him because Brian had basically caused the man not to get the job. Todd and TylerÂ’s last day on the air this week will be tomorrow. On that show, everyoneÂ’s favorite medical professional, Dr. Ed,Â’ll join them. Make sure to tune in at 5:30am for the final pre-wedding show. By the way, if you missed todayÂ’s program you can catch it tonight at 10pm when it airs during the 3rd Shift Replay. ThatÂ’s it for today. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
