| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 10-03-2002 Thursday 10-3-02 Todd and Tyler kicked off their show this morning by reading an e-mail from the sponsor of the Z-92 Todd and Tyler 2003 calendar. The e-mailer wanted to have a look at all of the photo submissions for the calendar contest so far but it didnt sound like the guys from the Purple Room were willing to share their bounty. From there, the guys discussed an article in the paper about coach Jack Daum, which stated that he has been infected by the West Nile virus. There was a little Husker talk following that and then the guys got into a discussion about this season of The Sopranos. Todd thinks its moving a little slow (it is) and Tyler mentioned that its still a good show and its just setting up for the rest of the season, all the while Donnie was yelling dont watch it repeatedly in the background. It was later determined that Todds Sponge Bob Square Pants intake could be skewing his perception of the quality of The Sopranos. Also early in the show, Todd mentioned that James the Giant Peach called him from his vacation in Tucson last night and woke him up. Todd retaliated this morning by phoning Peach bright and early (about 4am Peachs time). While they had him on the phone, TnT commented on the massive amount of vacation time the Peach has and at that moment, they decided to rename the promotions director James the Giant Vacation. Brian came in with a news report. As he read through each story, TnT commented on each. BW also mentioned that the van that was parked in front of his house has still not been removed. He read the name on the title over the air, hoping to prompt the vans owner to get the piece of junk off his lawn. The guys also had a lengthy discussion about famous people from the town of Bennington during the newscast. Originally, it was thought that Brian was the most famous but after countless phone calls, short guy songwriter and Smokey and the Bandit actor Paul Williams was deemed with the precious title of Most Famous Benningtonite. Todd and Tyler spoke to Kurt Petersen, the director of Seeing Red, a film currently in the works documenting the actions of fanatic Husker fans. Kurt talked with the guys about some of the footage hes already got in the can and how this season is providing him with a ton of great material for the film. The interview lasted quite a while and it seemed that TnT were bonding in their Husker disliking with Kurt (a Lincoln resident and Husker fan who sees other Husker fans in the same light as TnT do). After the interview, Kurt called back and mentioned that he might like to put Todd and Tyler in the film. Im sure well hear more from Kurt and his project in the future so stay tuned. TnT spoke to Erin Moriarty of CBSs 48 Hours. Before delving into the details of tomorrow nights program, she talked to the guys about some football. Shes married to a former Notre Dame player and mentioned that she knows the infamous Rudy. After the football talk, Erin talked with the guys about some new information in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case. It seems, from her description, that the next 48 Hours will provide new information and squash out many of the rumors that have been floating around lately. As always, Erin was very cool and seemed to enjoy her conversation with Todd and Tyler. Were bound to hear from her again in the future but in the mean time, you can catch CBS on KM3. Check your local listings for the times and days of the week it airs. TV stations switch that crap around (for no apparent reason) all too frequently for me to keep track of. Travis came in a little later in the show with a sports report. He talked a little bit about the reaction he received from his most recent For What Its Worth commentary and also commented on the call TnT received yesterday from a female listener who doesnt like the way Trav unbuttons his jacket at the end of each newscast. The gang then got into a discussion of college football bowl game politics. Also during sports, Travis did a story about a guy in Lincoln who runs a web site called Welcome to NebraskaCoeds!. TnT got a call from the site operator, Jim, who told them about how he pays coeds $20 to flash their boobs for photos. TnT checked out some of the sample photos from the site and after their conversation, Jim gave them a password so they could see more photos. Creighton Blue Jay baseball coach Jack Daum spoke to Todd and Tyler this morning. Early in the show, TnT talked about how the newspaper reported that Daum has the West Nile virus. The Dauminator said that he had been feeling sick for quite a while and finally got to a doctor last week. Jack thought that he might have caught the virus while playing golf over the summer. Hes feeling better now and from the sounds of it, hell get over the virus and be as good as new in no time. Mike Stankowitz from the Funny Bone stopped by the studio and hung out with TnT for a bit. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to enjoy his time with the guys. You can catch him opening up for Auggie Smith all week. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. The guys spent some time this morning analyzing whats wrong with Steeler QB Kordell Stewarts face. Hes got some funk on it and as far as TnT could remember, theyve never heard an explanation of what it is. They bounced around some theories ranging from ingrown hairs to super volcanos under his skin. Callers checked in, most in the military, and said that black mens facial hair sometimes grows inward after a close shave, which can cause the lumpy facial funk. In the end, another caller checked in and gave the guys the name of the disease (some form of scarring) that Kordell has. From NBCs Scrubs, Todd and Tyler spoke to Judy Reyes, TVplex - Error. They discussed the premise of the show, how great the writers are (they really are, its an awesome show) as well as talking about the shows great new time slot following Friends. The gang also talked about some of Judys other work. She appeared on an episode of HBOs Sopranos as a whore and played the wife of a guy who got his eyes gouged out in Oz. Judy seemed very cool. Props to Donnie for scratching the interview with the Nurse Roberts character and getting the hottie instead! To conclude the show, Brian returned with an entertainment report. During which, he went through a list of the most powerful people in the music world, he read the best joke ever (as determined by a bunch of scientists), and there was another installment of the Nebraska Sex Offender list. Thats the update for Thursday. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of todays show and make sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Friday edition. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
