TnT Show 10-14-2002

Monday 10-14-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by reading over a couple of e-mails related to Friday’s show. As many of you heard, the guys had a transgender guy (soon to be woman) in studio late on Friday’s show. One of this morning’s e-mails was from that guy thanking them for letting him talk about transgender people and squash some of the everyday guy’s thoughts. The other was from another person who used to be a man but had the change done 6 years ago. According to that e-mail, TnT bashed her 6 years ago. For the life of them, neither Todd nor Tyler could remember what they might have said.

Also early in the show, the guys mentioned BWs homecoming date but held off the details until he came in a little later on. The guys also both bought the Husker game over the weekend and spent some time discussing that. They also both pointed out how utterly horrible the Husker Homer radio broadcast was, as they caught a bit of it during the game on Saturday. Speaking of Huskers, TnT spent some time talking about how Husker quarterback Jammal Lord was busted for disturbing the peace in the early hours of Sunday morning. He was so drunk, in fact, that he was taken to the Cornhusker Place to sober up. TnT wondered exactly what the Cornhusker Place is and after some phone calls, it was determined to be a sobering up joint in Lincoln, not specifically for Huskers with problems, though.

Brian came in with the newscast but before he began, he gave Todd and Tyler a recap of his big homecoming date with Susie. The guys were also joined by Susie at about 7am. The two started off by talking about what they ate, then moved on to their visit at Tyler’s house during one of his parties, and then talked of the limo ride to the school. They then described what went on at the dance. Brian recognized none of the music but danced with Susie anyway. Another Arlington hottie, ‘’Crack Baby Katie’’ as dubbed by Brian, kept dragging the poor, weak, emaciated news guy around by the arm all night.

Susie’s aunt Linda stalked the couple for most of their night. While Brian was driving Susie’s father’s car, they were finally able to shake her during a car race BW had with a pimped out Honda on L Street. The Honda, driven by one of Susie’s friends, revved his engine at a stop light, taunting the hesitant BW, but all hesitation (and any sense of responsibility) flew out the window when the light turned green and Susie shouted, ‘’Go! Go! Go!’’

All in all, the big homecoming date went well. To commemorate the event, Todd and Tyler’s musical contributor Tony Bologna wrote a song. The song was easily Tony’s best work thus far. It had a catchy tune and the lyrics told the story quite well.

Throughout this morning’s show, Todd and Tyler awarded Donnie ‘’dispensability’’ points. After his absence on Friday, the guys’ thoughts about them being able to do the show without him were confirmed. They decided that by awarding dispensability points to Donnie when he sucked and taking them away when he did something good might help them determine whether or not it would be worth it to keep the neck around. Donnie played along with the idea quite well, mean spirited as it was, but that didn’t deter him from avoiding points being awarded to him. Poor Donnie was up to somewhere around 25 points by the end of today’s show.

Travis came in later in the show with a sports report. There was lots of NFL talk, the gang discussed Travis blowing yet another Lock of the Week prediction, and the big topic of the day seemed to be Husker QB Lord getting busted for disturbing the peace and being hammered. Following that, they spent some time talking about the former Husker who may have been killed in that bombing in Indonesia over the weekend and from there, the gang then touched on the recent swing of the country’s Brotha population to liking Notre Dame now that they’ve got a black head coach.

Stage 2 of the calendar contest began this morning, as Todd and Tyler looked through the mountain of hottie pictures they received. There were a few late entries but from the sounds of it, ‘’Oh my god!’’, their tardiness was well worth the wait. Stage 2 is going to consist of the guys actually meeting some of the women who are contenders. Their purpose for meeting them is to A) Verify the photos they were sent are current and B) Well, to see hot chicks in studio, I guess. Later in the week, probably Thursday and Friday, some of the contenders will be invited to the studio. Make sure to tune in for that.

Brian returned later in the show with the entertainment report. There was some talk of the Nebraska Sex Offender list, lots of Nazi stories during the ‘’This Day In History’’ segment, and the gang spent some time talking about pumpkin humping in Tyler’s back yard. The guys also got onto a hilarious tangent this morning about James Bond movies. Because of a silly comment made by Todd, the gang spent some time renaming Bond movies with the word ‘’bong’’ in it. ‘’You Only Bong Twice’’, ‘’Live & Let Bong’’, ‘’Goldenbong’’, ‘’Bongraker’’, and so on. It was hilarious. Hopefully they’ll give that an early morning replay tomorrow so all of you who missed it today can catch it.

Todd and Tyler are headed out to Brewsky’s again this evening for another installment of Monday Night Football. Prior to the NFL game, the Golden Rods are taking on Notre Dame on the Playstation 2 so stop out early for all of the fun. By the way, you have several ways of being qualified to win the Best Buy TV tonight. You can either wear some Notre Dame gear or you can bring in a black guy with you. It should be lots of fun and TnT hope to see you so stop on out to Brewsky’s tonight.

That’s it for the Monday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this morning’s show and make sure to join the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Tuesday edition. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
