| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 10-25-2002 Friday 10-25-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by mentioning tonights Freakers Ball. They went over the costume contest rules, discussed the bands that will be performing, and then mentioned that if you dont already have tickets you should get to the Amerisports Bar early and pick them up at the door. Then Todd told us about the costume he chose yesterday for the party. Hes going as a Spaniard but after describing the outfit, it sounded more like a 3 Amigos costume. The guys then played an audio clip from Brians slow-ass wedding song, as discussed yesterday. It was rather horrible. TnT then read an e-mail from a slightly retarded catty woman who bitched at them for their calendar girls segments and their discussion with Dr. Ed earlier in the week regarding their use your libido or lose your libido philosophy. The e-mailer seemed to think that if TnT took a poll of their listeners, theyd see that everyone would agree with her. TnT then opened up the phone lines and did just that. All of the 20 or so folks who checked in during the poll agreed with Todd and Tyler, not the slightly retarded catty female e-mailer. BW came in with the news a little later in the show. He talked briefly about his night out at Boomers last night, leaving out the details every guy in town was hoping for. BW must have had a good time, though, because he said he was up quite late. When he got into the news, there was a story of the Tamika Alert System signs, one about how the Kearny Arch killed a Wendys, and there was a terrible story about a man who got his arm caught on some boat part and had to cut off his own arm in order to survive. After the news, TnT spent some time talking about something that took place during last nights World Series game. After one particular hit, a couple of the guys were rounding the bases headed for home plate at full blast. At the same time, the 3-year-old son of one of the players, the batboy for the team, was on his happy little way out to retrieve the bat after the hit. J. T. Shaw rounded third with another guy on his heals and as he crossed home plate, he snatched up the little kid and saved him from getting monster stomped by the guy following him along the baseline. Several callers that witnessed it live phoned in to talk about the situation as well. Executive Producer Susan Zirinsky from CBSs 48 Hours phoned the guys today and talked with them about this evenings program. Theyre doing a CSI related story about a woman who does real CSI work in L.A. and is now a part of the television show as the head something-or-other. The gang discussed forensic science in general, the validity of some of the things done on the fictional CSI program, and a few other things. Tonights show sounds interesting. Hopefully the writing and acting on 48 Hours wont suck as bad as it does on CSI, though. Tune in and find out. Todd and Tyler announced the winners of their calendar contest this morning. Trinity, Squeaky Susan, Ashley, Michelle, Lindsey, Delilah the salad humper, Summer (Brians alleged bang buddy), Monica, Shanna, Tammy, Lisa, and Kelly all have a spot on the soon to be produced calendar. Further details about the release date and various events where you can catch an eyeful will be announced in the near future so stay tuned. Jeff Tremaine, the director and producer of the new movie Jackass spoke to TnT this morning. He was a bit sleepy and seemed less than enthusiastic about talking to TnT regarding the movie but Todd and Tyler carried on the interview nonetheless. The gang discussed the television show that spawned the movie, talked of what we can expect in the film, and covered some of the whacked guys who make up the team of jackasses. The movie, which premiers tonight in the theaters, sounds funny so Im sure well get a report from TnT when they see it. BW came in with sports for Travis. During his report, Travis phoned in from Texas and told TnT about the conclusion to yesterdays travel troubles. It turns out that Attaboy was able to get back on his original flight (in first class) a few hours after the show ended, once the navigational system was all fixed up. The Curse of Brian must have ended post 10am. Travis then gave us his Lock and Saint of the week. For his lock, he selected the Huskers at 5 ½. His Saint of the week is Saint Christopher, the Patron Saint of Travel. Donnie joined the guys this morning to talk about why he left the show. At first, Tyler seemed rather pissed at Donnie because of the way he left on Tuesday. Tyler was hurt that Donnie didnt tell them earlier that he was going to leave but after talking with the former producer, still neck, the gang seemed to have everything all cleared up and then began to have fun once again. Donnie explained that he left the show to peruse a career as a firefighter. Evidentially, financial reasons seemed to have played the biggest part in his decision-making process. If there were alternative reasons for Donnie leaving, they were not brought up. Throughout the remainder of the show, TnT opened the phone lines and let the listeners say goodbye to Donnie. It was surprisingly funnier than it was sad, as many callers who had been hung up on by Donnie over the last handful of years were finally able to make it onto the air. Some begged to be hung up on one final time, while others hung up on Donnie just to get back at him. It was all very funny. Before he left at the end of the show, Todd and Tyler said goodbye to Donnie and then went through Donnies list of voices and said goodbye to each of them as well. Today isnt the last well hear of Donnie, though. Hes still in the area so provided Elkhorn isnt burning to the ground on a daily basis, were sure to hear the Pope or the Ghost of Duke check in now and again. Todd and Tyler spoke to the new question reader on Win Ben Steins Money, Sal Iacono this morning. Hes Jimmy Kimmels cousin and from the sounds of it, thats how he got the gig (by taking over when Jimmy left). TnT talked to Sal about Ben Steins quirks, the style of the show compared to other quiz shows, and a few other things related to Sals career, Jimmy Kimmel, and Ben Stein. By the way, if you cant get enough of Sal on WBSs$, check out his comedy writing on the Comedy Central show, Crank Yankers. JR Brow from the Funny Bone stopped by the studio today and hung out with the guys for a while. The show was incredibly busy this morning so TnT didnt really get to spend a lot of focused time with JR. Instead, he joined in on the topics of the day. He seemed to be quite funny, as comedians tend to be, so make sure you check him out at the Funny Bone all weekend. Call 493-8036 for reservations. Towards the end of the show, Down To Here came in and played a couple of tunes for the guys. They sounded great and seemed excited about playing the finale of tonights Freakers Ball at Ameristar. Check them out tonight with Todd and Tyler and all of the other freaks. Well, thats it for the update today. Remember to check out the Funny Bone for JR Brow this weekend and search for Todd as a 3 Amigo, Tyler as a Hippy, and BW as Spiderman tonight at the Freakers Ball. Tune in on Sunday night at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and make sure to rejoin the guys on Monday at 5:30am for another excellent week of radio programming. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
