TnT Show 11-01-2002

Friday 11-1-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by reading an e-mail from a listener named Rob. He told the guys that he’s been happily married for the last several years but recently he has been fighting off the urge to obtain some strange. Figuring that both Todd and Tyler have recently gotten married and seem quite happy, he asked them how they fight the urge. TnT told him that he should just take himself ‘’out of circulation’’ by avoiding social situations that might make cheating easy. They also suggested that he gets some porn and twists off every once in a while. Many listeners checked in as well, discussing cheating in general and ways to fight sexual urges.

Brian came in with the news a little later in the show. There were no dead turkey stories this morning but the guys did have a humorous discussion about what would happen if Tyler became the new County Assessor. TnT also talked a little bit about the Halloween costumes kids wore when begging for candy at their houses last night. 46 princesses showed up at Tyler’s place, most were probably named Madison. BW mentioned he knew of a couple of people who dressed up as himself, Todd, and Tyler. From there, TnT discussed the assassination of the two Rots that chewed up the horse a while ago. Applause from all.

At 7:09am the guys came back from commercial with some Ramones as the background music. Yes, when I hear the Ramones on the radio, it warrants it’s own paragraph. Nice work guys, feel free Ramones-up the bumper music daily! ‘’Hey Ho Let’s Go!’’

After BW finished the news, Todd and Tyler reread the e-mail from Rob, the listener contemplating cheating. They opened up the phone lines again and let their listeners check in on the topic. Calls flooded in and seemed to occupy a majority of the remainder of the show. One caller in particular seemed to spawn it’s own sub-topic related yet not directly to the original conversation-starting e-mail from Rob. The caller’s name was Jason and he told TnT a heartbreaking sob story about being with a woman for 4 years, deciding to break up with her so he could date, and then regretting his decision. After attempting to get his woman back, she turned him down because she’s now got some new throck to latch onto. The sympathy for the man’s situation didn’t carry over to the callers, though. Even Tyler’s lovely lady, Becky checked in to hammer on Jason for being pathetic.

Tim Young from the Funny Bone stopped in this morning and spent a couple of hours hanging out with the guys. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to have a good time with TnT. There’s really not much else to say regarding his visit, though. Make sure you get out to the Funny Bone this weekend to see his show. Call the
Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. By the way, it’s 2 for 1 night tonight at the Bone so make sure you mention you heard that on Z-92 this morning.

Travis came in with a sports report later in the program. He joined in on the relationship discussion and shared even more details about the terrible relationship he feels his parents were in for 40 years. He then told TnT that his little boy Owen yelled, ‘’Aim for my mouth!’’ and ‘’Bet on it!’’ yesterday while in the car. He got a kick out of it but his fatherly instincts kicked in and he thought twice about having the Todd and Tyler show on while in the car. He also gave us his Lock of the week, South Carolina getting 1 ½ at home against Tennessee. His saint of the week was actually all of the saints because today is All Saints Day.

BW brought in the entertainment news to wrap up the show. There’s really not much to detail about that segment of the show, other than this day in history seems to have been a pretty bad day in history all the way around.

Well that’s it for the update today. If it looks a little light today, keep in mind that the main topic of the morning (cheating) spawned a ton of phone calls and cheating/strange related conversations. Tune in on Sunday at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this morning’s show and make sure to join the guys again on Monday at 5:30am for a new week of programming. Also remember that the kickoff of the new Win Todd and Tyler’s Money contest begins. Stay tuned for all of the details. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
