TnT Show 11-12-2002

Tuesday 11-12-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about last night’s Monday Night Football party at Brewsky’s. They had another great turnout for the event and lots of beer was consumed. Consequently, the guys were a bit hung over this morning. They didn’t, though, let it drag them down and TnT were able to pull off yet another spectacular show. Speaking of last night’s MNF party, another round of Speed Date BW took place. After some recruiting within the bar done by a couple of the Z-Staff hotties, several ladies took the spotlight seat for their 5 minutes with Brian. There was a hottie decked out in military gear (she won the TV), an attractive lawyer that BW seemed to enjoy the company of, and a group of prize pig Charlie’s Angels that sat with Brian long enough to qualify for the TV.

Also early in the show, TnT got a call from a listener named Tracy. She told them that she has been listening for years, hating them all the while. Yesterday, though, Tracy said she finally ‘’got it.’’ A light went off in her head and she realized that even though she doesn’t always agree with TnT, she still enjoys their show. TnT thought it was cool of Tracy to phone in and had to ask her about what, specifically, they had done over the years that pissed her off. She said that some of their information about STDs, Scabies, was inaccurate and that upset her. She also said the guys are a bit hard on the Church. She then proceeded to agree with everything TnT have to say about organized religion, which TnT thought was pretty funny.

BW came in with the newscast after Tracy’s call. Before he began, Todd and Tyler spent some time talking with him about last night’s Speed Date sessions. BW rated the various girls he met with according to their personalities and it seems that he was most interested in the attorney, Audria. She works with former Husker and friend of the show, Clete Blakeman. After talking about how dating etiquette is totally thrown out the window in a ‘’speed dating’’ environment, the guys spent quite a bit of time discussing whether or not Brian is intimidated by Audria the attorney. It seemed that he was, bringing up the fact that she’s incredibly hot and an attorney each time he said anything about her. Todd and Tyler thought BW might have been intimidated by her income, yet Brian said he wasn’t.

As the conversation about Audria continued, Brian mentioned that his hesitancy was due mostly to the fact that she didn’t give him her phone number directly. Instead, she opted to say that BW knew where he could get in touch with her, at work via Clete Blakeman. Brian thought that since she didn’t give him her number and said that he could just call her at work, she might be attempting to use her secretary as a filter, screening out his calls until he got the hint that she wasn’t interested.

The guys then put the conversation on hold and Brian delivered the newscast. There were tales of kleptomaniacs, a bound and gagged woman who escaped naked (in Lincoln, I believe), Turkish nerve gas plants, and a golf ball turf war between two senior citizens that ended in one of them getting beaten to death by the other’s cane.

Matt Higgins and Kelly Shattuck from the law firm of Cohen, Vacanti, Higgins, and Shattuck stopped by the studio this morning and spent a couple of hours with Todd and Tyler. Before opening up the phone lines, Matt and Kelly talked about their recent shopping trip to Chicago, where they bought some shoes, went to a few clubs and walked into mirrors, and ran into Elvis Costello. They then answered a variety of listener questions on topics from child support to custody.

Several of the callers today had some serious problems but none of them topped the hammered woman who phoned in and slurred through her eviction notice. It was hilarious. She had no idea why she was being evicted and didn’t seem to comprehend that the notice wanted her to pay $30 she owed and get an inspection. One of the lawyers asked her, ‘’Did you pay your rent?’’ She replied, ‘’Yeshshsss…’’ He came back with, ‘’Every month?’’ The guys will be back in a few weeks so if you need their assistance in the meantime, they can be reached at 345-7600 or on the web at FATHERSRIGHTSLAW.COM.

Travis came in with the sports report later in the show. He talked with TnT about his slip-up last night in which he referred to the Creighton Prep ‘’Jr. Jays’’ as the ‘’Jr. Gays.’’ TnT joked about how after that mistake, Travis might not be asked back to raise money for curl bars anymore. The guys also had a lengthy discussion about beer and liquor during the sports report, each talking about what they prefer and drinks they don’t dig. Travis, a former apple martini guy, reminded everyone that he blew an eye out puking after a gallon of the apple martinis so he can’t drink them anymore. Later, TnT spoke to Trav’s co-worker Kevin Jenks regarding his upcoming trip to Manhattan, KS to cover Saturday’s Husker game.

Jeremy’s gay dog Cody ran away at some point during the show this morning. The guys came on the air and mentioned the lost dog in hopes of it getting returned. They described the dog as a Husky with a throck ring and a shaved back, located somewhere around 56th and L Street. Todd said that they should call the Humane Society ‘’cuz they’re probably loading up the needle for him now.’’ Groans then filled the studio, but it was funny as hell. Later in the show, TnT reported that a listener had found the dog and brought it to the station where it was placed in the Chub until Jeremy gets off of work.

TnT spoke to Stepfanie Kramer this morning. She used to be in the show, ‘’Hunter’’ and is starring in two TV movie episodes of the old show. The first airs on NBC on Saturday night, with the follow-up to air sometime in March. She talked with TnT about her days on ‘’Hunter’’ as well as talking about her singing career, a comedy TV pilot she’s working on, her work in various Lifetime movies, and her recent roll in an Indi movie called, ‘’Dog Walker.’’ She was very cool with the guys and didn’t mind them reminding her that she’s hot, nor did she mind the football references Todd kept tossing out at her. She played along very well with the guys and will probably rejoin them when the March ‘’Hunter’’ movie is about to air on TV. Fee free to visit her website at The Official Stepfanie Kramer Website.

Todd and Tyler phoned their buddy Clete Blakeman this morning in order to get in touch with Audria, BW’s speed date from last night. After talking with him about NCAA reffing for a bit, the guys got the number to his office and phoned to speak with Audria. They weren’t able to get in contact with her but she did call them back a little later in the show. She said that she had heard most of their earlier discussion about her and then talked about their speed date last night. She then asked why Brian hadn’t asked her out and at that time Yoda Higgins stepped in and turned on the smoothness. He basically asked Audria out for Brian and set up a lunch date. From the sounds of it, afternoon the two are going to meet for a late lunch and it may end up as a full date later in the evening, as BW attends a company get-together at a very cool bar downtown. Stay tuned for all the details.

Brian then delivered the entertainment report for the morning. Tyler farted before he began and nearly cleared the room out. Oddly, Tyler’s ass fog set the tone for several of the e-news discussions, mainly Todd’s dog’s pooping habits. It should also be noted that during today’s e-news, Brian made fun of a squeaky-voiced, puberty-bound, half Corkified Golden Retriever lover who phoned the show to yell at him for making fun of Todd’s dog’s poop.

Well that’s it for today’s update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of today’s show and make sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Wednesday edition. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
