| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 11-21-2002
Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about yesterdays calendar cover photo shoot with all of the hotties selected for the soon to be released Z-92s Girls of the Todd and BW came in with the news a little later in todays show. The gang spent some time covering the crank bust/shooting that occurred in Bellevue yesterday and then BW followed up that with a scary A boy in Skyler has the flu story. Oooooh, frightening. The gang then spent some time playing Where did you eat last night? with each other and their callers, after a story about the progressiveness of Tim Butz from the ACLU stopped by the studio and spent the remainder of the show hanging out with Todd and Tyler. He began his visit by giving the guys his history and explaining how he ended up in The gang discussed a variety of issues related to work the ACLU has done over the years, spanning from the Scopes money trial all the way up to the situation in Plattsmouth with the 10 Commandments on government property. As the show progressed, TnT opened their phone lines and their listeners checked in with questions and/or to get Tims opinions on various things on their mind. Many of the issues dealt with this morning related to work problems (people being let go for whatever reason) and the whole separation of Church and State issue. Alan Colmes from the Fox News cable channels Hannity and Colmes spoke with TnT this morning. The gang spent some time discussing the myth of a liberal media, the plethora of conservative talk shows on television and radio, the current political feel of Washington now that the Republicans have taken over, and more. The Homeland Security bill was analyzed, with Colmes blaming Republicans for sneaking in big business special interest points in the wee hours of the night. Bushs morph of the war on terrorism into an attack on Saddam was discussed for a bit, as was the demonization of the democrats and Liberals by the now-in-power Republicans. It was an interesting discussion, even though the guys thought Alan was a bit wound up. By the way, if youd like to hear more from Alan Colmes, hes in the process of working on a syndicated radio talk show and you can catch him nightly on Fox News at Travis came in and delivered a sports report today. As he read the stories, TnT commented on each. Travis didnt mention anything about any For What Its Worth feedback, though, so it must be safe to assume that this weeks topics didnt spark a lot of fire in the guts of Husker fans. Hell be back in tomorrow for another sportscast and in the mean time, check Attaboy out on the KM3 news at 5, 6 and 10pm. Tim Gaither from the Funny Bone stopped in later in the show and hung out with TnT for a bit. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to enjoy himself. You can catch Tim opening up for J. Medicine Hat all weekend. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. Brian returned to the microphone towards the end of the morning and delivered his entertainment report. He began by informing TnT that a group of fat kids have gotten a class action lawsuit against McDonalds, suing the fast food chain for making them little hogs. From there, the guys tried to remember the setup for the old Rubber balls and liquor punch line, finally helped by a caller. TnT then seemed to shut down BWs newscast, pointing out that most of the stories he had on the agenda for today, they didnt give a crap about. They went further by saying theyd like to kill the This day in history segment. A shattered BW moved on to the celebrity birthdays, which may have only been saved from the wrath of TnT by their recent adjustment to the segment, turning it into a funny game called Who the hell is that? BW then concluded his e-news with a story about a German trombone player who accidentally killed a tuba player in front of him when he got excited about the piece of music they were performing. The guy whipped the trombone off of its slider bar and into the back of the head of the tuba player, killing him dead. Whats funny about that? Well, A: a guy killed a man with a trombone. B: The dead guys name was Dolf. To wrap up todays program, TnT opened the phone lines once again and let their listeners ask questions of the ACLUs Tim Butts. The questions seemed to degenerate later in the program, with drunk lesbians asking about storm shelters and people asking I got fired for this, can I sue questions that really didnt have much relevance to what the ACLU does. In the end, TnT put a stop to the calls, expressed their pleasure with their visit with Mr. Butts today and invited him back on the show in the near future. Well thats it for the Thursday update. If you missed this mornings show, keep in mind that it will re-air tonight at
