| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 11-27-2002 Wednesday 11-27-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about the Huskers decision to boot Josh Brown for a week. They were both surprised at this action and gave props to Solich for doing it, as well as Travis for calling it yesterday. The guys wondered aloud whom the Huskers would get to replace Brown for this Fridays game and pondered what sort of effects, such as field position and field goals, Browns suspension would bring to the game. From there, the gang spent some time discussing Tylers amazing morning wood, which he seemed very proud of. The logistics of peeing with raging morning wood were also analyzed for a bit. TnT then talked about Johnny Cashs appearance on Larry King last night, which prompted Johnny Cash bumper music for the rest of the show. Following that, TnT played a round or two of What was I watching? with a couple of listeners who checked in with questions. Also early, Black Tony joined the guys in studio and hung out for a bit. On a related note, TnT received a phone call from a listener who said he had Black Tonys Weak-ass Bitch song stuck in his head. The listener called in to make sure he had the lyrics correct, which he did. It was quite funny to hear a big, old redneck truck driver sounding guy singing, When I say weak-ass, you say bitch. Weak-ass. Bitch. Weak-ass. Bitch. BW came in with the news a little later in the program. As he read through the stories, TnT discussed each. During the news, there was some interesting discussion about the possible annexation of Elkhorn, which both Todd and Tyler agree is inevitable. TnT also discussed the method doctors use to determine how dilated pregnant woman are. After a couple of phone calls, it was confirmed that the use of a finger, usually representing about 1cm, is the method of choice. Another caller checked in and said that his fist was approximately 10cm across. The mental image of OBGYNs fisting pregnant women (to check dilation, of course) then became burned into the minds of listeners across the city. After the news, Todd and Tyler spent a bit more time discussing the Huskers and Fridays game. The Josh Brown suspension came up in conversation again as well. Several listeners checked in to talk about the topics of the day. Many of which offered up holiday greetings to the TnT show crew. The guys also wanted to talk about picky guys and catty women, a topic spawned by Midget Brians speed dating discussion yesterday, but due to the schedule of this mornings show, the guys had to put the subject on hold for a later date. Larry the Cable Guy phoned in this morning. Before he began his commentary, the guys asked him why he hasnt been on any of the popular late-night TV shows. Cable Guy explained some of the back-room crap that is associated with such television appearances, mostly political crap. Letterman doesnt dig rednecks like Larry, Leno only puts his buddies on his show, and Conan is on too late and nobody would see Cable Guy on his show anyway. From there, Cable Guy delivered a wonderful holiday poem for Thanksgiving entitled, Bigtime Thankful. Todd and Tyler spoke to Joe Garner, the author of some really cool coffee table books, which include some audio CDs and in the case of his latest book, Stay Tuned, Televisions Most Unforgettable Moments, a DVD. The gang talked about the premise behind some of his earlier books, which detailed some of the greatest moments in sports history and radio before moving on to his new TV book. They discussed the hoops Joe had to jump through to get the rights to the various stories, interviews, video, and music. They also talked specifically about quite a bit of the chapters the book covers. Joe then mentioned hes currently working on a similar style book, which will focus on the greatest moments in film, which sounds quite cool too. Im sure youll be able to find any of his books at your local bookstore so feel free to pick one up. They really do sound neat. Travis came in with his sports report today and after reading that, he delivered his Lock and Saint of the week. For his Lock, hes selected Oklahoma State at home getting 14 ½ against the Sooners. His Saint is the Patron Saint of Nebraska, Our Lady of the Presentation (whatever the hell that means). Travis also did his For What Its Worth commentary from last nights 10pm KM3 news. Today he told us how he feels fans should be able to tear down goal posts without being pepper sprayed, the Husker athletic director, Burns, should be left alone for interviewing with A&M (and should probably leave Nebraska to go there because hes too good for NU), and how Solich was right for suspending Brown. If youd like to comment, you can leave Trav a voice mail at 593-2706 or e-mail him at travis@km3news.com or travis@z92.com. Richard Schlesinger from CBSs 48 Hours spoke to Todd and Tyler this morning about tonights program. Theyre doing a story on fat people, famous and not, who have chosen various forms of surgery to un-hog-ify themselves. He detailed the different angles tonights show will take, talked of the interviews with celebrities that will be featured, discussed his own battle with weight loss (and smoking), and more. Richard seemed pretty cool, playing along with TnTs fat jokes quite well. Tune in to CBS tonight for the program. J Medicine Hat stopped in this morning and hung out with the guys for a bit. As usual, the Hat man was full of rip-your-stomach stories about his life. He told TnT all about spending a week drinking Jack Daniels and attacking a grove of trees with a chain saw. From there, he told TnT about some retarded guys who worked on his fence. Following that, he discussed how his wife got a tick on one of her pie lips. He then discussed his dog eating a bag of Cheetos and puking bright orange mush all over his bed and talked about a recent Ill give you my horse if you do some concrete work for me trade. Medicine Hat also talked with TnT about some interesting things that have taken place on stage lately. One of the most memorable was a story of a 26-year-old woman who was hypnotized to think she was 14-years-old on stage. Then J asked her to say a dirty word. She selected pussy (like our favorite night DJ, Big Pussy). J then asked her to use it in a sentence, keep in mind she was still hypnotized to believe she was 14-years-old. The sentence she came up with alluded to her father coming into her room and doing things to her. Well, the father was in the audience and completely flipped out, attempting to jack Hat before the bouncers were able to thump the guy. Disturbing as it sounds, it was a hilarious story. By the way, you can catch J at the Funny Bone all weekend. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. Bone Pecker came in this morning and played a couple of cool songs for Todd and Tyler. They sounded great and with all of the Johnny Cash bumper music today, they fit in quite nicely with the flow of the show. You can catch them performing at Trovatos tonight and at the Velvet Lounge on Saturday. The e-news was basically obliterated this morning, as the guys were short on time and they really didnt feel like listening to another series of BWs J. Lo stories. Instead, they opted to cut straight to the Who the hell is that? segment, filled with celebrity birthdays. Afterwards, and just before they wrapped up their show and this week of programming, the guys took a call from a female listener who ran a little smack at Brian for not dating the hordes of women TnT have put on a platter in front of him. She asked whether or not BW might like married women exclusively and wondered if that was the reason he hasnt been seeing anyone (or at least telling us about it on the radio). BW attempted to defend himself by saying that hes still married, technically, but TnT would have none of it. Well, thats the update for today. Tune in all weekend as Z-92 goes through their entire rock library A-Z and listen for the Todd and Tyler shows Best Of, which will be filled with rock star interviews the guys have conducted over the past 9 years. It should be a great weekend on Z-92. Rejoin the guys on Monday, December 2nd after the holiday when they return to the airwaves for another week of fine radio broadcasting. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
