TnT Show 12-04-2002

Wednesday 12-4-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by filling us all in on what has happened over the past few days. Tyler’s Becky had some trouble on Monday and just after 9am, he left the show to make sure she got to the hospital. As many of you will recall, Todd took over the show with some input from Jessica Dol and Jeremy to wrap up the Monday program while Tyler was dealing with the situation surrounding his pregnant wife. Knowing now that everything is okay, Todd told Tyler to never leave him alone like that again. Todd seemed disappointed with the last hour of Monday’s show, feeling a bit out of sorts without Tyler there to run the commercials. He worked through it, though, and even made his appearance at the Monday Night Football party at Brewsky’s.

As for Tyler and Becky, they had a little girl at about 6:20pm on Monday night. Little Madison was brought into the world via C-Section, which Tyler detailed. At one point, he referred to a gusher of blood from the pie when Becky was asked to sit up straight for a shot in the spine. It was pretty gross sounding but Tyler’s happiness describing his child’s birth outweighed my natural tendency to puke any time blood is mentioned. Tyler was absolutely amazed at the whole process and propped up all of the doctors and staff who helped to bring his new daughter into the world. Tyler then talked a little bit about how beautiful his new daughter is and detailed his first diaper changing experience. ‘’It was this nasty tar crap that looked like hash.’’

Also early in the show, the gang talked a bit about the Monday Night Football party at Brewsky’s. Jeremy joined TnT and told them about getting confronted by a listener that wanted to kick his ass. At first, Jeremy couldn’t figure out what had pissed the guy off so badly. Later, he remembered the situation. Evidentially, during Jessica’s shift on Monday, she took a call from the guy. He was hitting on her over the phone, describing himself as a mix between Ray Romano and John Trovolta, and asking her over and over if he stood a chance. Jeremy, in the room at the time putting some CDs away, overheard the conversation and gave the guy a little bit of a hard time for sounding so pathetic in his attempt to get into Jessica’s pants. Well, that pissed the guy off, as did Jessica calling the man a ‘’dork’’, and that’s how the confrontation at Brewsky’s came about. Everyone had a good laugh at the story and reset the topic later when Jessica came into the studio for a speed dating review.

Also early in the show, the gang spent some time talking about the Husker coaching situation. They commented on the media’s coverage of the firings and pointed out that the Huskers firing coaches doesn’t really mean anything in their lives, yet the TV news and even the newspaper all feel it’s a top story. TnT then read bits of an article from the paper quoting Josh Brown. The article said he had to make two phone calls after he was busted for DUI. One was to coach Solich, the other to his parents to tell them not to bother coming to see him play. They reintroduced the Husker talk later when Travis joined them.

BW came in with the news, leading off with the story about UNL’s athletic director quitting to go work for A&M. ‘’Who cares’’ seemed to be the general consensus. From there, the gang talked about a fire at Auto Air Plus, the main sponsor of TnT’s upcoming calendar. They then discussed a terrible dead kid trial and talked about shaken prosecutor syndrome, which was spawned by a story about a couple of lawyers (one guy, one woman) who got into it at the courthouse yesterday. The lady lawyer was angry with the guy, grabbed him by the lapel and shook him. A couple of lawyers who listen to the show checked in to discuss the situation and they seemed to leave TnT to believe that they weren’t surprised at what the female lawyer had done. Evidentially, she’s a big lady and the guy she shook is a smaller guy. BW then wrapped up the newscast with a heartwarming story about a drugged up guy who beat his grandmother to a pulp and threw a cup of fire ants on her.

Todd and Tyler fired up their connection to Dr. Ed this morning. After playing a little catch-up, talking about diseases making the rounds in Texas, and discussing Tyler’s new baby daughter, TnT opened up the phone lines. There were, as usual, a wide variety of topics discussed today. Such topics include placenta in hair conditioners or as a tasty snack, ‘’flow reestablishment’’, why one’s testicles suck back up inside when receiving a Diekman (something called the Creammaster muscle), the now infamous ‘’anal wink’’, orgasm intensity, engorged baby pie, and why newborn baby boys have Gigantor nuts. It was another great, very educational visit with Dr. Ed this morning. He’ll most likely be joining the guys in about two weeks so if you missed him on the show today, plan to join the guys then.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning with a commentary on how the Native American dream catchers are stupid, how the airlines suck, and how he’s run into a large number of ugly, bitchy flight attendants lately. Larry will check back again later in the week so stay tuned.

Travis came in with the sports report today. There was a lot of talk about the Husker’s coaching situation, as well as a few other stories. Travis also had a strange For What It’s Worth commentary, one story from both Monday and Tuesday nights. His first was about the coaching staff getting fired and his second was on the athletic director leaving for A&M. If you would like to comment on what you heard this morning or Trav’s previous newscasts on KM3, you can leave him a voice mail at 593-2706 or e-mail him at travis@z92.com or travis@km3news.com. Feedback will air tonight.

Todd and Tyler spoke to Kim Kelly this morning. She’s the porn star who’s going to be living off of nothing but ‘’man juice’’ and banana smoothies for a month in an experiment to see how much weight she can loose in 30 days. She told the guys she began the diet on Sunday and then detailed her ‘’feeding schedule’’. Believe it or not, after a question from TnT, Kim claimed that she has taken most of her feedings ‘’from the tap.’’ She talked about why she’s doing the diet, discussed the guys who have applied to ‘’feed’’ her, and went into some detail about her recent feedings, saying she did 5 back-to-back just last night. She was pretty cool with Todd and Tyler and as you might imagine, TnT had fun talking to her as well. For more information on the story, or to become a ‘’donor’’ yourself, check out her web site at www.manjuicediet.com, 18 and over only.

Jessica Dol joined the guys later in the show. She began by talking about Monday’s program in which she came in to help Todd during the last hour of that show. From there, she discussed speed dating at Brewsky’s on Monday night. She said she dated quite a few guys that evening and all of them were nice but she seemed to dig the first guy she met with the most. The conversation continued with Jessica describing the types of guys she does and doesn’t like, covered her issues with divorced guys and men with baggage, and told TnT about the man who stole her heart, now an underwater welder in California. Several of the men who speed dated Jessica on Monday checked in to talk about their dates during this portion of the show and the gang also talked about the man who wanted to beat Jeremy up at Brewsky’s again, as his call to Jessica on Monday was the spark of the whole situation.

BW came in with the e-news a little later in the show. Before he began, TnT took a call from Mike at Auto Air Plus. As mentioned earlier, BW reported on a fire at their building yesterday. Mike informed TnT and their listeners that the fire only occurred in one bay and the rest of the shop is still open for business. From there, Todd and Tyler pretty much shut down the e-news segment with the exception of letting BW do ‘’Who the hell is that? (a.k.a. celebrity birthdays)’’. Also, before leaving the air today, we heard probably the worst attempt at an Australian accent ever made in the history of the universe. Yes, BW’s pitiful attempt to sound like an Australian made Todd’s ‘’Patton‘’ sound Oscar caliber (I love his ‘’Patton’’, Tyler hates it). If there is a higher power anywhere, we’ll never be subjected to BW’s Australian accent ever, ever again.

Well, that’s it for the Wednesday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay and make sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Thursday edition of the Todd and Tyler show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
