| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 12-12-2002 Thursday 12-12-02 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about the premier of Omahas Alexander Payne film, About Schmidt last night. From the picture in the paper, TnT didnt seem to think theyd fit in all that well with the suits who attended the event. As they read the accompanying article, the guys were glad they didnt go see the movie. According to the paper, there were people talking throughout the entire movie, as everyone recognized various places in Omaha that appeared on screen and everyone felt the need to say, Ive been there! A listener who attended the premier phoned in and gave his point of view on the event. From there, TnT spent a few minutes talking about yesterdays Amber Alert regarding the 9-month-old baby who was kidnapped when the Jeep she was in got stolen. Luckily, the baby was found and returned unharmed. BW came in with the news a little later in the show. During that segment, TnT played an audio clip of Strom Thurmonds 48 presidential campaign speech in which he ranted about how the n-bombs wouldnt be allowed to go to white churches or swim in white pools. Because the audio was a bit, well, old, Todd read the text from it a few times during todays program. Also during the news, TnT played some new audio of Ray Charles counting. The clip began at 81 and ended at 150 and as TnT let it run, they broke into physical trainer mode, encouraging Ray Charles as though he were doing sit-ups. It was hilarious! The gang also played a few rounds of What was I watching? before BW wrapped up the news with a story about bald bears in California and a handless guy nub punching a man to death. The guys got a visit from Stacy, the manager of the new river front restaurant, Ricks Café. She brought in some steaks for everyone to enjoy and informed us that despite a report in the paper stating that Ricks was shut down for electrical problems, theyre back open and ready for business today. Also, you may recall that she phoned the show yesterday while TnT were talking about various first sexual experiences and told the guys that the first time she ever touched a bare throck was at the movies. The guy she went with put his through a hole in the bottom of a popcorn container on his lap and when she reached in for some delightfully buttery popcorn, she found a bit more than she bargained for. To help bring back the memory, TnT had her reach into a box of popcorn in the studio this morning. Stacy ended up finding the infamous purple double dong; laughs ensued. Stacy later told TnT that her first kiss was with a girl back when she was 14-years-old. As you might imagine, TnT dwelled on that tidbit of information for a while. Dave Rimington stopped by the studio this morning and hung out with Todd and Tyler. Hes in town to present the Rimington Trophy for best college football center in Lincoln on Saturday. Although TnT tried, Dave wouldnt give up who has been selected as the winner of this years trophy, but he did discuss the nominees. He then squashed the rumors that hes in the running for a position with the Huskers as some sort of coach and/or to be the new Husker Athletic Director. Throughout the show, the gang joked about how the topics of the day wouldnt be helping Dave land that AD job in Lincoln. Dave also talked with TnT about his NFL career, sharing a variety of stories from his time as a Husker and pro athlete, and discussing Dave the Bangle at length with a couple of callers. Later in the show, he told TnT about some of the dirty tricks NFL players use as advantages, gave cheating tips to aspiring young athletes, talked about players that pee themselves (or worse) on the field, and detailed farting on quarterbacks hands. Todd and Tyler had heard Scott Frost was attending classes in Lincoln and has recently been asked to help the Huskers out during the last month of the season as they prepare for the Old Miss game. Frosty phoned TnT to discuss his roll with the team and said hes basically analyzing film. He also talked about his injury and plans for next season, a return to the Packers in the spring. At least he hopes, his contract is up soon and provided he gets better, hell most likely be a Packer again. It was cool to hear from Frosty today and Im sure TnT will speak with him again in the future. Travis came in with the sports this morning and along with delivering the details from the sporting world, he talked a little bit about recent For What Its Worth feedback. He then told TnT that he has one frequent female caller to his voice mail that always leaves him nice one-line messages. The most recent was a simple Happy Thanksgiving message. It sounded to everyone that Travis has become infatuated with the anonymous female caller. Also during the sports, the guys spent some time talking about a report stating that there were 9 bad calls made during the last Vikings game. Todd was understandably pissed at the news. Paul Hooper from the Funny Bone stopped in this morning and hung out with the guys for a bit. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to have a good time being on the Todd and Tyler show again. He spent a few moments talking with TnT about an upcoming gig he has at Paradise Island, the Atlantis resort, and then talked a bit about his hometown in the Carolinas. You can catch Paul at the Funny Bone all weekend by calling 493-8036 for reservations and if you are headed to the Bone tonight, call in your reservations now and get 2 for 1. Todd and Tyler were scheduled to speak with Grizzly Adams, Dan Haggerty, this morning but when Jeremy phoned him for the interview, Grizzly told him that he had to take his daughter to the hospital. The interview has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning so make sure you tune in for that. BW returned later in the show with the entertainment report. During a story about sending Christmas presents to starving kids in Uganda, BW expresses his disappointment at the USA for helping other countries out instead of taking care of our own. TnT jumped all over him for that but their points didnt seem to sink in to BWs Republican-armored head. The gang also got back into the argument about pie eating when you meet a woman. BW once again stated that he wouldnt give a woman he just met oral sex because he worries she could have just gotten off of an exercise bike or nailed another guy in the bathroom before meeting you. Todd, Tyler, and Paul Hooper disagreed viciously with Brian and humorously, Dave Rimington was quite silent during the discussion. The guys continued their e-news with the Who the hell is that? celebrity birthday segment. Somehow the segment ended up morphing into Would you lick that? instead, as everyone shared whether or not they would give each of the celebrities having a birthday today oral sex. After that, BW tried to dog pile on Dave Rimington and from Todd and Tylers account, Brians attempt at physical confrontation with the former NFL player made him look like a wet rag being tossed at a brick wall. The e-news then wrapped up with a story about a guy who won two separate lotteries on the very same day, the odds of which were reported to be around 24 trillion to 1. That then led into the confusing argument TnT have had in the past about the odds of lotteries. The gang eventually gave up the discussion and wrapped up their show, as they were confusing themselves too much to carry on. Well, thats it for the big Thursday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and make sure to rejoin Todd and Tyler tomorrow morning at 5:30am. Theyre going to speak to Grizzly Adams and Steve White from the Funny Bone will be swinging by for a visit. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
