| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 01-14-2003 Tuesday 1-14-03 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing the comments Shaq recently made regarding the Chinese language. They were a bit upset at television media for not filling everyone in on what was said, instead focusing on how bad it was. They both wondered whether or not they occasionally fall into the same situation, not resetting topics frequently enough while discussing them. From there, the guys spent some time discussing the Pete Townsend story. He was arrested in London for downloading child porn, using the excuse that he was researching the subject for a possible book about it. This was spawned from his own feelings about being bounced on when he was a kid. TnT both seemed to want to believe his story, that it was all for research, and said that they obviously have a bias towards Townsend because they regard him highly as an intellectual and a musician. They did say, however, that if he was whacking to little kids, they would be quite disappointed and would recant their support for him. Also early in the show, the gang spent some time discussing last nights AMA music awards. As usual, the award show was horrible. The guys were disappointed in the focus on country and rap music, pointing out that the rock band Nickeback kicked ass and they wished there would have been more of a rock feel to the show. The gang also touched on the Huskers coaching changes and stressed disappointment in all of the local news stations except for Channel 6 for leading their 5 and 6pm newscasts with that story instead of real news. TnT then read over a few e-mails and discussed yesterdays abortion topic before moving on to a conversation about the most recent Omaha Magazine, which listed the Todd and Tyler show as Omahas favorite. As they read through some of the other Best in town mentions, they remembered how crappy the magazine and its annual list of Best of this or that actually is. BW came in a bit later with todays newscast. At the onset, he went into a rant about how he knows people who believe the government is using GPS technology imbedded in US currency to track people. After that farfetched idea (yet totally legitimate and honestly, right on the money, literally) the gang got into another argument about whether or not it is possible to live off of $12,000 per year, BW stating it was while TnT disagreed and said it could only be done if you lived in a shoe box. BW then fell into a little bit of logic and stated that a man should have no opinion one way or the other about the abortion issue. TnT both agreed with BW on that one. After talking about that for a bit, BW went back to the psych ward and finished this mornings newscast with a horrible story about a teenaged girl passing out at a party who was raped and abused by a bunch of teenage boys. Todd and Tyler were joined by Matt Higgins and Chris Vacanti of Cohen, Vacanti, Higgins, and Shattuck this morning. The gang played a little catch-up from the holiday season, dropped a few mom cards on each other, talked about Travs voice-over on their radio commercial, and discussed how wonderful most judges are. Over the few hours they were there, the two lawyers also answered questions from Todd and Tylers listeners on a wide range of subjects including divorce, child custody, and law-related relationship problems. This mornings callers seemed to like the double negatives quite a bit and a couple even enjoyed using the phrase, Beings as we wasa, which was pretty funny. If you missed your chance for free legal advice today, you can reach the boys at Cohen,Vacanti, Higgins, and Shattuck by phoning 345-7600 or visiting them on the web at FATHERSRIGHTSLAW.COM. Travis stopped into the studio later in todays program with the sports report. As you might imagine, there was plenty of talk about the Huskers coaching changes. Related, Travis read his For What Its Worth segment from last nights 10pm KM3 newscast. Along with the coaching changes, Travis commented on how the Huskers should probably work on a passing game and/or obtaining a passing QB before putting in the effort to hire a passing coordinator. If youd like to leave Travis any feedback, feel free to leave him a voice mail at 539-2706 or send him an e-mail at travis@km3news.com or travis@z92.com. Hell be giving us his feedback report tomorrow so make sure to tune in. BW returned towards the end of the show with the e-news segment. Contrary to what James the Giant Peach stated earlier in the show, Brian reported that Warren Zevon has not died yet. The gang continued discussing Pete Townsends child porn arrest and they also brought up last nights AMA show again. The gang then had a lengthy edition of Who the hell is that? / Would you lick that? before mentioning that theyre already tired of the Would you lick that segment and will probably bring it to a close for good this week. Instead, TnT discussed possibly adding a new segment to the e-news relating to celebrity birthdays. The new game would be called, Marry her, nail her, or spoon her ass. TnT then wrapped up the e-news and the show by reading an e-mail from a listener who is convinced Brian is a pole smoker, which he didnt seem to care too much for. Well, thats it for the Tuesday edition of the Todd and Tyler show. Make sure you rejoin the guys tomorrow morning at 5:30am for the Wednesday edition and if you happened to miss this mornings show, Todd and Tyler are giving you another chance to hear it tonight at 10pm on Z-92 when it will re-air as the 3rd Shift Replay. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
