| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 01-17-2003 Friday 1-17-03 Todd and Tyler began their show this morning by discussing last nights 3 to 1 dodge ball victory over Schuyler. They had a great turnout for the event and everyone seemed really cool, with the exception of a few students who were quite hostile. One student was even arrested for ripping off a roll of Todd and Tyler banners. Black Tony joined the guys in their dodge ball discussion and spent some time talking with TnT about how their team this year is taking a bit longer to click than last year. TnT thought that the 1 ½ hour limo ride to Schuyler probably had more to do with their lack of clicking than anything else. TnT spoke with Erin, the music teacher at Schuyler who helped in setting up last nights dodge ball game. They asked her about the teenager who was busted for ripping off their banner but she didnt have much information on it for them. Instead, they talked a bit more about last nights match-up. TnT mentioned that everyone booed Midget Brian and Erin said it was probably because the kids thought being a midget might be contagious. The guys then spent some time going down their roster awarding Ns to each player who they felt brought nothing to last nights game. Each person awarded with an N also got the Weak-ass Bitch music played for them in the background. Trisha Meuret from Channel 7 joined the guys this morning as the news booty call. She spent some time talking with the guys about a dentist error that caused her tongue to be numb for about a month. As you might imagine, TnT took the numb tongue concept and ran with it for a bit. She also talked with TnT about small town scholarships, which she received, after a story about the Universitys budget cuts. Trisha also did a story on Funder getting busted for punching a guy in the face after a pick-up basketball game down in Lincoln. After their dodge ball discussion from earlier in the show, the guys mentioned their autograph signing session that followed the game. The topic expanded further to tales of their first autographs, with each member of the show telling us of theirs. They then opened up the phone lines and let their listeners check in with my first autograph and my best autograph stories. After a while, TnT shut down any Husker-related autograph although a few Erich Crouch and Tommy Fraiser stories still slipped through. BW phoned in today and talked with the guys about last nights dodge ball game. He also mentioned his upcoming drive to Arkansas to drop off a truck for his friend. BW then got into another inspiring Tim ONeil commercial about how he recently discovered the cruise control feature on the news cruiser but TnT cut him a bit short. Brian will return to the show on Tuesday morning. Bobby Slaton from the Funny Bone came in today. When he arrived, TnT asked him about a report they got earlier in the show from a listener who said that Bobby told everyone on stage last night that TnT are actually gay lovers and the whole wife and kids thing is a cover. TnT thought it was hilarious. Bobby also discussed a couple that left last nights show after he dropped the c-bomb on stage. He went on a rant about sports during Travs report, shared his first autograph story with TnT, and expressed his belief that there should be a zoo filled with people like crack addicts, poor trailer trash, and homeless people. Travis came in with this mornings sports report. He also took a little more crap from Bobby Slaton, who analyzed everything he found wrong with Travis and said hed end up shooting himself and his family due to the Chinese water torture life he leads. The band Zwarte stopped by the studio and played a tune for TnT this morning. The song, Wahoo, was one they wrote while stranded in the town of Wahoo a few years ago. It was pretty funny and sounded great. If youd like to catch them playing, theyll be in town at Boon Dockers tonight and tomorrow night. Larry the Cable Guy checked in with another letter from the pigmy he sponsors, Boobla Boobla. If youd like to hear it again, tune in to the 3rd Shift Replay of Todd and Tylers show on Sunday night at 10pm and you should be able to find the text of this mornings commentary on Larrys web site in just a couple of days. Trisha returned later with the e-news. The gang discussed the stories of the day and had a lengthy conversation about CBSs hillbilly show that might not ever make the air, which everyone seemed to agree could be quite funny. To wrap up todays show, Bobby Slaton asked TnT to help him find a place that served whole wheat pancakes and real maple syrup. A few listeners checked in with suggestions but by the time the show wrapped up, Bobby seemed to be fed up with the search and said hed just go hump a summer sausage at the Hickory Farms display at the mall. By the way, Bobby is doing two shows tonight only at the Funny Bone. For reservations, call 493-8036. Thats it for the Friday update. Tune in on at 5:30am as Todd and Tyler kick off another week of shows and remember that the 3rd Shift Replay of todays program will air at 10pm on Sunday night. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
