Wednesday 3-5-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about last night’s appearance at the Ice House for Fat Tuesday. They had a good time but were disappointed in the lack of cans being flashed at them. Tyler had a couple of beers but due to feeling sick, Todd drank water with a lime in it. Speaking of Todd not feeling well, he shared with us yet another story about him pooping himself. At some point yesterday, Todd jumped into the shower for a cleaning and while attempting to send out ‘’a tester’’ fart, he realized ‘’it was productive’’. He described what occurred as a ‘’blop’’ and said it reminded him of the backed up sewers in Ralston, which are full of phoo, grease, detergent, and tampons. Todd also detailed picking up the offending material with some paper and flushing it away.

Following Todd’s disturbing pooping story, the gang moved on to talk about the beginning of Lent. They will again tempt Travis with beef on Big Beefy Friday, as they did today because Ash Wednesday is another day of fasting/no meat eating for Catholics. While on the subject of Trav, TnT mentioned that Channel 3 has decided to do away with their 6pm newscast and put on ‘’Entertainment Tonight’’ instead. They discussed the move for a bit and later briefly discussed it with Travis (who didn’t have a lot to say about the deal). Also early, TnT talked about a CD sent to them by Uncle Thompson. They played a clip from the CD, which was put out to help promote better race relations, and it sounded like something straight out of the movie ‘’Break’in’’.

TnT also took an early morning call from a listener who said she digs BW and wants to date him. The guys thought it was a fake call at first because the lady seemed interested in being set up with Brian. After their streak of bad luck and BW’s relentless ‘’Nothing’’ campaign, they decided they didn’t want to help get him laid anymore, told the caller that if she wanted to meet BW she’d have to do it herself, and then executed the conversation. BW phoned in shortly after, but the majority of his talk with TnT centered on snow plowing, not getting BW some pie.

Speaking of BW, he was out plowing snow all night so Trisha Meuret from Channel 7 joined TnT at the news desk today. During her report, the gang discussed the upcoming war and how it has seemingly been scheduled to start next week, the gang talked with Trisha about a story she did on a wrongly imprisoned man who is being released after 25 years in the pokey, there was some discussion about ultimate fighting and gambling, and the gang wrapped up today’s newscast with some birth control talk, which seemed to make Trisha quite uncomfortable.

Todd and Tyler fired up their connection to Dr. Ed this morning in Tyler, TX. After sharing a tale about his recent trip to Vegas, the doc was kind enough to answer a plethora of phone calls from Todd and Tyler’s listeners. There was some talk about pooping in the shower, small pox vaccinations, the volume of one’s ejaculate, getting spooge in your eye, Herpes babies, black poop, and lots of BMI calculation talk. During their discussion about the BMI (which I think is Body Mass Index), the Dr. Ed pointed out to Travis that, ‘’you’re just flirting with obesity’’. Dr. Ed also dropped the ‘’I’ve got big balls’’ bomb when explaining why he has decided to get the small pox vaccination while the other doctors in his office have not. It was yet another great visit with Dr. Ed today. Keep in mind that he will be rejoining the guys in about 3 weeks for another visit.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning. He started off by talking to Dr. Ed about a messed up arm he has and after giving the doc all the details, it was decided and agreed upon by everyone that Larry has crappy insurance. Following that ,he read his commentary for the day, which was a letter that was intercepted from Osama. It was pretty funny stuff. Tune in for more from Larry in the near future.

Travis came in this morning with a sports report. Before he got into it, he talked with Todd and Tyler about Ash Wednesday and the Lent season. He also briefly discussed Channel 3’s decision to scrap their 6pm newscast and place the recently acquired ‘’Entertainment Tonight’’ on at that time instead starting in September. Travis then got into his lengthy sports report and hung out for a bit later in the show when TnT’s next guest arrived.

Jimmy, the host of Sports 1490’s show ‘’Cornhusker Inside Her’’ (as TnT like to call it) stopped in this morning and hung out with the guys for a bit. The new season of the show begins airing tonight at 6pm and you can be a part of the live crowd by heading out to the Old Chicago on 78^th and Cass Street tonight for the broadcast. Tonight’s guest is going to be Scott Frost. As you might imagine, Todd and Tyler talked at length with Jimmy about the plans for the radio program this year, the Husker football team in general, last season, former Huskers like Funder, Aaron Taylor, Scott Frost, and Crouch, and much more. I’m sure this won’t be the last visit Todd and Tyler have from Jimmy this year, especially if the Huskers have another season that makes it seem like they’re playing with their helmets up their asses.

To wrap up today’s show, Trisha returned to the news desk and read over today’s e-news segment. Todd and Tyler talked about a few of the e-news stories, chatted back and forth about some of the other topics from earlier in the show, continued their Lent discussion, and then wrapped up today’s program. BW should be back in tomorrow and Trisha will return again when it snows.
