TnT Show 03-26-2003

Wednesday 3-26-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing BW’s cancelled World Of Wheels appearance. The plug was pulled on his attendance because of the possibility of snow so Jessica Dol will be going in his place. The gang then moved on to talk about last night’s episode of ‘’The War’’. Following that, they discussed single-bottle beer purchases and Pennsylvania’s strict alcohol laws. The gang also played a round or two of a Lifetime edition of ‘’What was I watching’’ and they could all feel the vaginas growing on them.

BW came in with the news a bit later in the morning. There was plenty of talk about the war during the Global segment of the newscast. Brian then followed that up with some talk about a funky dream he had involving a bullet-shooting meteor being the culprit in the new ‘’Sniper’’ movie. That somehow led into a topless, sweaty Ashley Judd being the star of another possible movie featuring a bunch of CNN reporters being the only ones left to fight the war in Iraq. From there, the gang continued discussing the single beer purchase laws of NE and had a lengthy discussion about the authenticity of Mexican cuisine in Omaha.

After the news, TnT took some time to further discuss one of the stories Brian had read. The story was about things people do while driving that might distract them. After reading over a list and the associated percentages of people who had partaken in the various activities, TnT talked about some of the things on the list that they have done. They’ve all eaten while driving, Todd has humped while behind the wheel, Tyler said he’s twisted off while in a car, and there were more sexual confessions related to the topic at hand. The gang then opened up the phone lines and took calls from listeners. Many ladies checked in on the subject, some offering up details of times they’ve twisted off while driving while others shared stories about peeing in 40 oz. cups. Others talked more about humping or Diekmans while in a car, most involving cruise control.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and talked with the guys about last night’s Nashville premier of the Blue Collar Tour movie. He rambled down a list of ‘’country stars’’ that attended the event, ooohing and aaahing Todd and Tyler with the name-dropping, and then moved on to deliver another war related commentary. It was a rather odd commentary, though, because at some point Larry started relating the various parties involved in the battles to Sesame Street characters. Stay tuned for more from Larry as the week progresses.

Travis came in a bit later in the show and joined in on the ‘’distracted while driving’’ discussion Todd and Tyler were involved in. He continued to deny that he’s ever been on the receiving end o a Diekman while behind the wheel and seemed appalled at the thought of people actually knocking it out while driving. Later, he got into his sports report and while read through each story, Todd and Tyler enjoyed some ribs. It was probably the first time Tyler has eaten on the air with such obvious chomping audio; odd because Tyler yells at guests for even having a piece of gum in their mouths while in the studio.

Towards the end of Trav’s report, Todd and Tyler took a call from a lady from Texas who wanted to share a ‘’distracted while driving’’ story about former president Johnson. Evidentially, he has been known to fool around on old Ladybird and the caller shared a story about knowing someone who once pulled over the President while he was in the act. From the sounds of it, he had the driver seat tilted all the way back and there was a young lady pouncing on his throck while steering the car and running the pedals. The caller then alluded to President Johnson being gay, too, and at that point, TnT thought she was drifting and moved on to the next call. Well, she got pissed off and called back to yell at he guys for not saying a proper ‘’goodbye’’ and then yelled at them some more for their comments about how she was starting to get a bit whacky towards the end of her first call. She then hung up on the guys, providing them with humorous ammunition for their own ‘’She hung up without saying goodbye’’ bitches.

Mark Lundholm from the Funny Bone came in this morning and spent some time with the guys. He started off by bitching about fat people on airplanes. Then he moved on to discuss his recent Showtime special and talked about how they made him edit a line containing the words ‘’mouthful of man jam’’. He also talked at lengthy about being a recovering boozer, drug user, and sexaholic. During that conversation, he told TnT that heroin makes you feel ‘’creamy’’, which TnT got a kick out of. Later, he talked about twisting off on the Dominos pizza guy in his hotel room last night. I wish there was more to detail about Mark’s time with Todd and Tyler today but there just isn’t; he exhausted me (in a good way and no, I didn’t deliver him any pizzas). Call the Bone phone at 493-8036 for reservations to see Mark this week and keep in mind that he’ll be rejoining TnT in studio on Friday morning.

BW returned later in the show with today’s e-news. There was some talk about TV, the gang discussed some of the Hollywood type people and their war protests, and everyone commented on the evil praying mantis Celine Dion and her Vegas show that has just kicked off. Brian then read over the Council Bluffs Sex Offender Registry, which consisted of one scarred up, finger-missing, discolored chest-having perv who now lives in a trailer park. During the ‘’Who the hell is that’’ segment, we found out that baby Jessica, yes the little well kid, is now 17-years-old. I literally fell off my chair with laughter when Tyler said she’s now really tall and skinny and lives in a silo.

The gang then wrapped up today’s show by bringing in Jessica to read over an e-mail from a female listener. The e-mailer detailed a ‘’sexual encounter while at the wheel’’ story that fit in rather nicely with the guys’ earlier discussions about things that drivers do that could distract them.

Well, that does it for the big Wednesday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of today’s show and make sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Thursday program. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
