| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 04-14-2003 Monday 4-14-03 Todd and Tyler started off this mornings show by discussing their weekends. With the exception of the terrible winds yesterday, the guys seemed to enjoy their weekends as they watched a lot of the Masters tournament. Tyler talked about getting some shampoo in one of his ears, which left him partially deaf this morning. And also early in the show, TnT spent some time talking about some comments made by the Lincoln mayor
Omaha and Lincoln are battling over who gets the high school state wresting championships now that Omahas got a giant new convention center. Well, the Lincoln mayor got on TV and started telling everyone Lincoln should keep it because its safer than Omaha. Todd and Tyler were a bit pissed at the comments made by the Lincoln mayor and spent some time discussing the story early on and again when Travis arrived a bit later. And speaking of Travis, TnT spent a little time discussing an article in the paper over the weekend that explained that KM3s second sports guy, Kevin Jenks, is no longer with the station. BW came in a bit later in the show just in time to play Whered you eat this weekend with the guys. After ranting about a problem he had at the Popeyes, BW went on to tell TnT that he gave a homeless man $3 over the weekend. Brian had run into the homeless man downtown and after BW began to feel bad for owning multiple homes, being dressed in his leather, and owning a Harley, his icy heart melted and he gave the bum $3. The gang then went on to discuss todays news, which included a tale of PCP induced cannibalism, a puppy that swallowed a giant knife (Thats not a knife. This is a knife!), and BW wrapped up todays newscast with a heartwarming kicker story about some forced Taiwanese teenaged sex with a rott. Todd and Tyler kicked off their gas giveaway contest this morning. Listen daily between 7 and 8am when Todd and Tyler will go into their gas chamber. The number of farts they hear will determine the # of songs you must listen for from that days America Rocks artist. Then, once the last song starts, be the 25th caller and youll win a $500 gas card! After giving all of the details of their new contest, the guys realized that the first song of the day (and I doubt Im spoiling anything because its so late in the day), is Zep and theyre a British band. After further discussion and giggles, the guys decided to refer to the artist of the day as the Coalition Artist of the Day from this point out, stating that for the next week or so, theres only 1 American band listed as the America Rocks artist! They were most likely joking so make sure you tune in every morning to find out that days actual Coalition Artist of the Day for the Win Todd and Tylers Gas contest. Travis came in a bit later in the show with todays sports report. He briefly talked with TnT about Jenks formerly of Channel 3. Trav wouldnt offer up any on-air details about why he is no longer with KM3 but did say that wed all hear more about it later in the week. Travis also talked with the guys about the Lincoln mayors comments as they pertained to Omaha trying to lure the high school wrestling tournament away from Lincoln. Travis also talked at length with the guys about the Masters tournament over the weekend and the recent beheading of a local area catholic churchs statue of St. NogginLoppedOff, the patron saint of sledgehammers. About half way through todays show, Todd and Tylers computer system when down on them. This left them with no sound effects or commercials for right around an hour. Even though theyve talked for an hour straight with no commercials countless times in the past, they both seemed pissed that they were forced into the situation by technical difficulties. The guys were able to make the best of it, though, and put out one hell of an hour of morning radio for us all to enjoy. During the hour of no computers, the guys talked with Travis about the sports, they took calls from listeners who wanted to talk about St. NogginLoppedOff, BW sat in as the Winslow 2000 and shared with us his impressive array of sound effects, and the guys played quite a few rounds of What was I watching? with their listeners (with BW as the Winslow 2000 again). A female listener also checked in during this time and told TnT that they are now making baby face wipes flavored like fruits. The purpose is so babies dont get medicine mouths when their parents wipe off crusty face food. To Todd and Tyler, though, the flavored baby wipes spawned a lengthy discussion of bung hole licking again, which such flavored wipes obviously ad a new dement ion to. The guys seemed to be having fun while they awaited the return of technology and might have reached that loopy stage of exhaustion several times during their marathon of chatter. Also while the computers were out, TnT phoned their speed dater from last week, Paula, to find out if she went out with any of the guys she met during her Brewskys speed dating event. Paula said she had two dates, one Friday and one Sunday. The first guy took her to dinner and a movie and she said they might have done a little smooching. The other guy also took her to dinner but he didnt get to suck her face. Paula went on to say that she might be calling a few more of the men she met while speed dating with Todd and Tyler at Brewskys and promised to keep in touch with the guys in the future. Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary on the playing cards the military is issuing to the troops that show all of the Iraqi bad guys were looking for. Todd and Tyler both drifted off during the end of Larrys commentary and I found myself laughing at their reaction to him when he asked, get it? after one of his strange jokes/comments. Stay tuned for more from Larry as the week progresses. BW returned later in todays show with the entertainment report. The guys started out by talking of Celine Deons husbands Philippino spooge jacket, which fit well wit their next conversation about Monica Lewinsky hosting a new FOX dating show. BW read through todays list of, Who the hell is that? and then he moved on to discuss a list of the top 10 television shows of all time that were loved by their audience but didnt last very long. TnT seemed to remember most of the shows and discussed each as they came up. By the time the guys reached the end of the list, it was clear of one blaring omission. Foxs The Family Guy was not on the list. Luckily for us all, though, a listener phoned TnT and said that all of The Family Guy episodes are out on DVD now. It sounds like a trip to the Best Buy for us all! Well, that does it for the Monday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and make sure you rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Tuesday edition. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
