Friday 4-25-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a little talk about last night’s Z-92 night at the Bone. They seemed to enjoy the show but mentioned that the headliner would not be joining them on today’s program because, ‘’He’s a weirdo’’. The gang also welcomed Black Tony to the studio, a Friday tradition, and spent some time talking with him about Halloween costume ideas. TnT may be appearing as Hall & Oates at next year’s Freakers Ball. TnT then mentioned that their buddy Bobcat was on CSI last night playing a murdering comedian, which they found amusing.

BW came in with the news a bit later in the show. During this time, the guys discussed electrocuted crank heads, skunk habitat, nuns giving rub downs, and asparagus piss sprinklers. Tyler also shared some details about times he has ‘’air locked’’ women in the past, 4 occasions with different guy friends of his being on the other end of the female. It’s the first time we’ve heard details of such activities from Tyler, although they have been alluded to in the past.

And along the lines of details, BW did a story on a former UNL guy who was busted for peeping after he moved to take a job at a Florida university. Tyler took on the roll as peeper defense attorney, trying to come up with ways that arrested man might be able to get out of trouble. The peeping story led Tyler to recall an infamous tale he’s shared with us many times before about how he and some of his buddies once watched another friend of his take care of his woman through the crack of a window. Tyler said his buddies never told the guy they saw them humping because the couple ended up getting married. He asked over the air for me not to divulge the names of his friends because there is the chance that they could read this update and that would be the way they would find out about Tyler and his other buddies watching this couple knock it out years ago.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today with a commentary on the Dixie Chicks. He compared their statements about the President with that of other dumb statements throughout history. It was actually a very funny commentary from the Cable Guy today.

Travis came in a bit later in the show with today’s sports news. TnT gave him a hard time about KM3 story on a paralyzed bobber-enabled floating goldfish before moving on to discuss last night’s FWIW feedback. TnT didn’t want Trav to do his commentary from last night on this morning’s show, though.

Later in the program, Brian’s dad and step-mom joined TnT in studio. They’re headed back to Alaska today and swung by for a visit. Immediately, Tyler played the infamous clip of BW dropping the c-bomb on the air and followed that with a variety of other BW bloopers from the last few years. The guys also played the clip of BW’s interview with Hal Daub, which is what led to the downfall of Brian’s TV reporting career. TnT also spoke to Brian’s dad about why BW was such a badass as a kid, getting in trouble all of the time. Brian joined in on the conversation and offered his explanation for being a dick.

The entertainment news this morning consisted of a lot of talk about the X-Men movies. Jeremy revealed that he’s actually a huge geek, rattling off names of characters and actors from the first X-Men film and as you might imagine, TnT gave him a hard time for a bit. The guys also talked about a possible topless pool being installed at the Hard Rock in Vegas but were bummed that it won’t be there when they arrive in a few weeks.

To wrap up the show, Cheshire Grin came in studio and performed a couple of tunes for the guys. They’re going to be having a CD release party at the Cabana Club in Bennington tonight, where they will be filming video for a future DVD project. They’ll also be doing another CD release party at the Lineman in Nebraska City tomorrow and at the Depot in Norfolk near the first week of May.

Well, that does it for today’s update. You may never get to see it, though, because I’m out of space on the web server again and nobody seems to be able to figure out why. LOL.
