TnT Show 04-28-2003

Monday 4-28-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with some talk about their golf tournament last Friday. They mentioned that they heard a rumor that Sean Gnandt from the Funny Bone played 3 holes naked and because he was so drunk, he missed his first performance at the Funny Bone Friday evening. They also talked about how Midget Brian was awarded the most drunk award. TnT then moved on to discuss how Channel 3 seems to be covering more sports news now that they’ve eliminated Travis as the full-time news guy. That conversation then led the guys into some discussion about Trav’s Friday Night FWIW.

BW came in with the news a bit later in the program. Before he got into today’s stories, he spent some time talking with TnT about his weekend, which led to an exciting round of ‘’Where’d you eat?’’ The guys then spent some time discussing the stories in the news, which included a story about 200+ cows that died after being poisoned and a lengthy conversation about ‘’Spaniard’’ work ethics. BW proclaimed, ‘’Spaniards have an incredible line of sight.’’

Following today’s newscast, TnT mentioned that Bill and Kiri both showed up at Hooters on Saturday during their search for 2004 calendar girls. Bill brought a date with him and neither he nor Kiri seemed that interested in talking to one another. Kiri phoned in to discuss running into Bill at the event but she didn’t have much to say other than that she had initially found Bill to be ‘’creepy’’ because he was ‘’too nice.’’ Following her call, TnT played the song Bill wrote about he and Kiri’s wedding on the TnT show. They then phoned Kiri’s friend Sara, who informed them today that Kiri and Bill bumped uglies on more than one occasion but now Kiri doesn’t want to see Bill because he’s creepy.

The conversation about whether or not Bill was ‘’too nice’’ led in to a lengthy discussion that lasted throughout the remainder of the show. TnT discussed what would classify a guy as ‘’too nice’’, taking calls from women who shared input. They also brought Jessica Dol into the studio to discuss it. During her visit, she informed TnT that she’ll hack the head off of any man that cries in her presence regardless of the reason for his tears. That then led TnT down a different path; one in which they discussed legitimate reasons a guy might cry. They went through a list of movies guys are allowed to cry while watching and shared several other circumstances that make it okay for a guy to get teary eyed and continued taking phone calls from listeners with crying guy input.

Trav came in a bit later in the show with today’ sports report. Before he began, he talked with TnT about his FWIW commentary from Friday night’s newscast, which prompted Trav’s first death threat via the voice mail received on Saturday morning. During the sporting news, the gang discussed the NFL draft from over the weekend and had a lengthy conversation about the Husker player who was just busted for allegedly beating up his woman.

Sean Gnandt and Craig Peters joined TnT in studio today for a bit. Sean was at TnT’s big golf tournament on Friday and got so drunk on tequila that he missed his first performance at the Funny Bone Friday night. Sean detailed exactly what happened and filled TnT in on the 3 holes he allegedly (and actually) played naked. The two hung out for the rest of the morning and joined in on the topics of the day.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today with a commentary about the death of the man who invented the laugh track. TnT punctuated each of Larry’s jokes this morning with their very own recorded laugh track, although they did a fine job of laughing up their own storm after each of Cable Guy’s humorous remarks. I’m sure we’ll here more from Larry as the week progresses so stay tuned.

BW returned later in the show with today’s e-news segment. The gang spent some time discussing a few Canadian-related stories, which led to a lengthy argument about whether or not SARS could jump the Hudson Bay. The guys also debated the details surrounding the lifespan of your average, ordinary Wookie. Luckily for them, a Star Wars geek checked in and solved that debate. Sean and Craig also joined in on the e-news subjects, offering up impersonations of Jay Leno, Ed McMahon, Mark Gross, and others. BW then wrapped up today’s e-news segment and this morning’s show with a little ‘’Who the hell is that?’’

Well, that does it for the Monday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay and make sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Tuesday edition of the Todd and Tyler show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
