| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 04-29-2003 Tuesday 4-29-03 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing their evenings last night. Todd got stuck in the Millard North parking lot while picking up his daughter so he didnt get the chance to see much TV last night. Tyler, though, watched Mr. Personality and spent some time detailing the show. Even though the program is unwatchable, Tyler is still finding himself drawn to it. He mentioned an alleged Diekman from a stripper in a bathroom story about one of the masked men on the show last night, which spawned some interesting conversation. The gang then moved on to talk a little about Travs FWIW last night. They also had a lengthy conversation about the Coach Eustachy of Iowa State who was photographed partying with co-eds in Missouri. He was allegedly hammered and kissing on a bunch of the women until 4:30am-5:30am. For the full story and photos, check out Bob Reno's BadJocks.com - Where COPS meets SPORTSCENTER (includes links to drunk driving lawyers). And before moving on to the news segment of todays show, before TnT took a call from a drunk guy who urged them to play more Ted Nugent in the mornings. BW came in with the news a bit later in the show. Before he dove into todays reports, he talked with TnT about some trouble hes having with various accounts for his lawn care business. Hes owed $3800 in total and spoke with TnT about thinking of hiring a collection agency to get him the cash he rightfully earned. After the violins died down, the gang moved on to talk about the news. There was plenty of discussion about whether or not Coach Dana Altman will leave Creighton if Coach Eustachy of Iowa State gets canned. The gang also pondered the laws behind necrophilia, a topic spawned by a recent CSI episode. TnT then talked about some of the kids who werent let into the Gretna Prom because of their funky, retro tuxes. Also during the news segment, TnT pondered the creation of Todd and Tylers Hooker Reform School, they discussed John Madden farts, BW reported on a wacky penis sliced off story from somewhere in South America, and the guys played an audio clip of Tom Brokaw dropping the c-bomb on TV from last week. TnT had heard about the slip-up a few days ago and Tyler was lucky enough to have caught it on his VCR. He brought it in and played the clip repeatedly throughout the morning. After the news, TnT took a call from Bill, the groom in the Married By Todd and Tyler For A Trip To Vegas contest a few weeks ago. He talked with the guys a little about being deemed too nice, the odd relationship he has with his wife Kiri, and he mentioned that hes excited to go on the trip even if Kiri wont talk to him very much. Following his call, TnT took another from a listener who is a good friend of Kiris. He told the guys that shes a really cool girl but she sometimes doesnt know what to do with a nice guy when she gets her mitts on one. We didnt get to here from Kiri this morning but as the trip to Vegas approaches (Sunday), Im sure shell check in again. Travis joined TnT in studio this morning for todays sports report. During his visit, the guys continued their discussion about Coach Dana Altman and the chances of him leaving for another school. TnT tied in the Iowa State coachs recent antics, which prompted Trav to share some stories hes heard about Coach Eustachy. Travis then did his FWIW from last night, discussed the topics with TnT, and talked a little about some of the feedback hes received. Trav pointed out that he doesnt seem to get nearly as much feedback on his sports-related topics as he does on social and political topics, which seems kind of odd to him as a recently-deemed-former-sports guy. Also during Travs visit, the guys discussed some of the new faces over at KM3. One in particular, a man named CT, Charles Thongklin, was brought up. The gang pondered exactly what his ethnicity might be and decided to phone over to Channel 3 to find out. CT wasnt in, though, so they continued their speculations. Shortly thereafter, they got a call back from the guy they spoke to at Channel 3 who told TnT and Trav that CT is actually a Thai name. This whole exchange was hilarious to BW who pointed out to TnT that had they read CTs bio on the KM3 web site that they had up the whole time, they 3rd line mentions that his last name has a Thai origin. Following their time with Trav, TnT spent some time discussing with BW and Jeremy a recent mention in a Tom Shatel article that said guys over 40 just want to spend time with their families and play golf. Somehow the subject morphed into BW and Jeremy at each others throats about whether or not it makes sense for an older guy in his 20s or 30s to go back to college to further his education. Jeremy said that it would be stupid for him to do because hes got the job he wants and furthering his education wouldnt really help. BW seemed to understand what Jeremy was saying but pointed out that even though BWs college educated, he sits on his mower all day long trying to come up with ways to get himself off the mower and if furthering his education into something like Dentistry might help his cause, its never too late to head for the new goal. BW then provided us with todays entertainment report. During his report, the guys talked about a crank heads in love movie that is going to be filmed in Centerville, IA and is tentatively titled Iowa. The guys got a kick out of that. They then moved on to discuss Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, Alabama Earthquakes (and geography), the natural habitat of the Eskimo, and there was a little Alzheimer's humor mixed in for good measure. And the guys tossed in a little Alzheimer's humor, too. The guys also had a hilarious exchange about Carny Wilson looking thinner now. They compared her old fat face to that of the outer crunch of a Tootsie-Pop and said that inside that face was the much more attractive skinny face she has now, which they compared to the tasty nougat. I laughed so hard that I spilled my mai tai, dropped the mascot bird off my lap, and had to take some heart medicine. Thats the first time Ive ever typed the word nougat, by the way. Before wrapping up todays show, Todd and Tyler spoke to Doc Severinsen. He was the bandleader for the Tonight Show Orchestra for years. Even though he seemed a bit loopy, he was an excellent interview. TnT seemed to have a good time talking to him. The guys discussed Docs time on the Tonight Show and how he got the gig, his funky wardrobe, they touched on his career as a musician in general and the upcoming development of a new Doc Severinsen line of trumpets, and they got Docs impression of the people who bought up Johnny Carsons Norfolk home and are selling it on the Internet. Doc will be in town performing with the Omaha Orchestra this weekend at the Orpheum Theater. It was a great interview that Im sure youll hear again on an upcoming 3rd Shift Replay or Best Of show so make sure to stay tuned to the mighty Z. Well, that does it for the Tuesday update. Tune in this evening at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings excellent show and make sure to rejoin Todd and Tyler tomorrow at 5:30am for the Wednesday program. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
