| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-16-2003 Friday 5-16-03 Todd and Tyler started off their show today by welcoming Black Tony to the studio with a little Al Green. They then discussed their interview with Omaha magazine that took place last night near the schizophrenic neighborhood of the Joslyn Castle. TnT referenced the area as schizophrenic because on one side of the street, there are $400,000 homes and on the other side, TnT saw tweaking crack heads and rundown, boarded up homes. The neighborhood has no idea what it wants to be. TnT mentioned that their interview will appear in the July/August issue of Omaha magazine. Youll be able to tell which one it is because the guys will have their photo on the cover. TnT then moved on to talk about hookers mowing lawns, the Lakers loss in the NBA last night, and they debated how to spell recidivism. BW came in with the news a bit later in the show. The gang spent some time discussing a Central High/Creighton woman groper, people in Bellevue getting pulled over for expired plates even though they still had until the end of the month to get new tags, cows falling off of cliffs, and there was yet another amazing story about a woman who gave birth and didnt even know she was pregnant. Also during the news, Todd demonstrated the squat thrust for everyone and described his naturally stinky feet not so surprisingly caused by his 12-year-old leather sandals. Dave Rimington spoke to TnT this morning about an upcoming golf tournament to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. Its called the Nebraska Golf Classic and will take place on June 1st. TnT ran down the list of all the famous people and athletes on the list, pointing out that they would be playing in the tournament too and showing some sympathy for the poor suckers that get paired up with them. Dave mentioned that they are expected to raise around $250,000 for the benefit. If you would like further information, visit the web site 2006 Nebraska Golf Classic - Benefiting Cystic Fibrosis. Travis came in a bit later with last nights FWIW commentary. He covered how the state doesnt have a set of standards governing schools and how they are to handle severe weather, using several examples of the tornado warning from earlier in the week that had some students released from classes early and right into the eye of the beast. During the commentary, Todd mentioned that his daughter was left outside waiting for him to pick her up that very day. He went on to say that he doesnt understand the Millard school system and their get out of school early on Wednesday approach, assuming that all of the teachers bail early that day to go to the bars. A flood of calls came in from both parents and teachers, who went round and round on the subject of the schools weather policies and exactly why the Millard schools let their students out early on Wednesdays. Trav also did sports but as stated by Tyler towards the end of todays show, it was boring so theres nothing more to write about. Todd and Tyler spoke to Bill Pemberton this morning regarding this weekends Viper Day staking place at the Mid America Motorplex just outside of Glenwood. Todd and Tyler are going to be out there tomorrow night from 6-8pm and theyre going to get to race some cars in between having a beer, enjoying the music, and seeing all of the Vipers that will be shown off. For information, you can call 1-888-436-RACE. I believe tickets to the event are $10 per adult, $5 per child, or you can get the whole family in for $30. Stop on out to see Viper Days and Todd and Tyler this weekend at the Mid America Motorplex! Larry the Cable guy joined TnT in studio this morning. He spent some time explaining to the guys exactly why he believes the Blue Collar movie practically went straight to video. He also shared a story or two about how he was screwed by his record company out of 80,000 CDs worth of profit and had to basically sign those profits away in order to get out of the record deal with the shifty people. Also during Larrys visit, Todd told a story about recently driving off from the gas station and forgetting that he left the pump attached to his vehicle. That story spawned countless phone calls of epic hilariousness all related to driving off with the pump still attached. BW returned later in the show with todays enews. The gang talked about the death of the guy from Unsolved Mysteries, as well as the death of Johnny Cashs wife. That somehow put the guys in the mood to sing Burning Ring of Fire, which quickly morphed into a hilarious (seriously this time) another ass hole licking conversation and song parody. BW then read over the list of celebrity birthday before getting to yet another installment of the Nebraska Sex Offender list. As he went through each name, Cable Guy played a little Black or White guessing game. Brian then wrapped up the e-news with one of the most anticlimactic stories Ive ever heard about a guy who bit off another guys ear in a college classroom. Youd think a story with such potential for outrageousness might conclude with something a little better than He just bit his ear off, thats it. Well, that does it for the Friday update. If you dont already have your Cable Guy tickets, you might be out of luck. You can see if any are available, though, by phoning the Bone Phone at 493-8036. Make sure to join Todd and Tyler Saturday from 6-8pm at the Mid America Motorplex for Viper Days. Keep in mind that there will be a 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show airing on Sunday night at 10pm and Todd and Tyler will return to the air on Monday at 5:30am. Well see you then. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
