| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-23-2003 Friday 5-23-03 Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning with some e-mails about yesterdays reunion show. Nearly all of them described how they got goose bumps and/or cried due to the amazing story. The gang then welcomed Black Tony to the studio, which prompted the gang to discuss Travs FWIW last night about how he thinks Omaha is due for a minority police chief. Tony might attempt to get the gig, which everyone thought would be a good idea. The guys also talked about the head of the St. Thomas statue that was recently found, as further details have surfaced about the twisted kid that was busted with it. Also early in the show, the guys got an off-air report that the kid that stole Tylers car a while back was involved in another stolen car police chase early this morning. A police dog took him down with a vicious bite to the tit, which thrilled everyone. The guys tried to figure out how and why the kid is back on the streets and with a little help from their regular caller and former prosecutor friend Candy, perhaps things will get cleared up next week. With a little help from Marty Robins bumper music, TnT brought BW in for the newscast. They started by discussing an angry lady that appeared in the lobby yesterday that was upset at BW for a comment he made during her call to TnT about how she gave up her two 4-year-olds for adoption after hitting a rough spot in her life. When she described her rough spot yesterday, BW made the comment that it sounds like what everyone else goes through every day and that her circumstances were no tougher than anyone elses. He then said something to the effect of, Well, she just must not love her kids. Thats the comment that prompted the lobby visit. Brian then got into the newscast, which included some talk about a Council Bluffs shop lifter that was taken out with an entire can of mace. The guys also talked about the golf wench and how well she played yesterday. From there, the gang got off on a few tangents, including one about cats randomly vomiting. Brian also tossed in a few dead kid stories for good measure before the gang discussed at length the dynamics of a firing squad execution. TnT also discussed Channel 3s coverage of yesterdays reunion show. They were quite impressed with it. Janet, the mother, phoned TnT to thank them for helping reunite her with her son. She described the large multi-family get-together they had yesterday. Later, Brendan also phoned the show and thanked the guys for yesterday. He, too, talked about the familys big reunion yesterday and seemed even more amazed at how much he and his younger brother are alike. They promised to continue to stay in touch with the show as their newfound relationship evolves. Travis came in and the talk of yesterdays reunion show continued. Trav said that he was in a meeting yesterday and had no part of Channel 3s decision to send over a camera crew. It was actually Deb Ward, who was listening, that got on the horn and had the camera crew dispatched to the Z studio. TnT phoned Deb to talk about the story. They also talked about a story Debs husband, Joe Jordan did last night on the news. The story was about how minorities are pulled over more than white people. Joes report included details from a UNO study that said Hispanics are pulled over more likely than what you would expect. The gang wondered exactly what more likely than you would expect means. Joe Jordan phoned the show to share a bit more details about the story and how the research led him to use the phrase more likely than you would expect. Following their chat with Deb and Joe, Travis read over his FWIW commentary from last night about how he thinks Omaha is ready for a minority or woman police chief. He made a statement that went something like, Omaha is not a white mans town. TnT disagreed with Travs comment, pointing out that even though they know where he was going with that statement, that Omaha isnt just white people, everyone in power in this town is a white guy and therefore Omaha is a white mans town. Following some discussion, Travis got into todays sports report. At that time, the Omaha Beef cheerleaders, who mentioned the Beef is playing at the Civic at 7:05pm on Saturday, joined TnT in studio and hung out for a bit. Everyones brain shut off just because of how good they smelled. The Fish Heads joined TnT in studio this morning and played a couple of tunes for the guys. They also discussed their big Zeppelin showdown with Blue House and the other bands taking part in Sundays big summer kick-off party taking place at the Anchor. Make sure to join TnT down at the Anchor on Sunday for the event. It should be an amazing show, as always, so join Todd and Tyler, the Fish Heads, the Confidentials, Groove Puppet, and Blue House. The doors open at 1pm and the first band, Blue House, takes the stage at about 4:30pm. The Untamed Shrews from the Funny Bone came in this morning and hung out with TnT. During their visit, they joined the Fish Heads for their version of Why Dont We Get Drunk And Screw. They also talked about butt sex, one of them discussed Renaissance Fairs and joined in on the e-news topics BW brought up a bit later in the show. You can catch the Shrews at the Funny Bone all weekend by phoning 493-8036. BW came in with the news later in the show. Right at the start of the e-news, the Shrews talked BW into showing them his hairy ass crack. They freaked out about his rat pelt-ish butt hair. They also somehow got BW to say something about liking butt plugs up his ass. Brian then got into the e-news, which included a story about some guy from Party of 5 that humped a 12-year-old girl that happened to be a relative of his wife. BW also read over a list of Obscure Dead Guys of the Day, which included the 90-year-old son of Max I. Walker. The gang then filled the Shrews in on BWs buddy, Suck my friend Craig and had to dig out the clip in order to clarify. That prompted the guys to play a few other blooper clips from the show, including several of the famous c-bombs that have been dropped in recent months. They then got into a discussion of porn and various terms used in the porn industry. Then my head shut off completely when the gang had a lengthy conversation about Bel Biv Devo. Well, that does it for the Friday update. Tune in tomorrow for the Best Of, as the reunion segments from yesterday will re-air at 8am. Also check out the 3rd Shift Replay of todays show that will air at 10pm on Sunday and make sure to rejoin the guys on Tuesday for their next live show. Due to the holiday, they wont be on the air on Monday. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby-
