| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 05-29-2003 Thursday 5-29-03 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a little talk about a back patting party they had for the station employees out at Brewskys last night. Due to eating only appetizers and pounding some beers, the guys both felt a bit hung over this morning. They didnt dwell too much on their ailment, though, and instead moved on to discuss Travs FWIW commentary from last night. Although the guys didnt see it, reports came in that he actually mentioned Todd and Tyler by name during his commentary on the new arenas possible corporately sponsored name. TnT then took a few minutes to continue where the left off yesterday on the list of 101 fun things to do as described by the Council Bluffs newspaper, the Daily Nonpareil. They went fro 50 to 101 this morning and it was full of the same useless dribble that made up the first 49 on the list. This mornings highlights included suggestions for going to bowling alleys, hair salons, and how fun it is to apply for a loan. Id rather put cigarettes out in my eye said Todd, referring to the fun to be had in a Council Bluffs bank. The guys then read an e-mail from a listener who writes for the Nonpareil, Greg I believe. He had an added 30 fun things to do for the list, sarcastic of course. They were pretty humorous. BW came in with the news a bit later. The gang then spent some time talking about a teacher that was busted for allegedly humping on a girl who was 13-years-old at the time more than 25 years ago. They also discussed a piece of legislation an Omaha representative attempted to put into law that basically had Omaha declaring war on Council Bluffs over the casino issue, war, literally. Brian read over another smoking related story that can pretty much be summed up as follows: Everyone hates smokers. TnT then joked about how crappy Aksarben is, a discussion spawned by a story about how Aksarben is auctioning off all of their crap. The gang then discussed the Presidents tax cuts and how they wont have any effect here because the state is just going to take all of that money anyway. And to wrap up the news, BW did a story about how the availability of condoms in schools has been proven not to increase the sexual activity of teenagers. Todd and Tyler were joined by Janet and Brendan today, whom brought the guys up some much-appreciated lasagna to chow on. As you may recall, the mother and son were reunited on the Todd and Tyler show just a week ago today. They discussed how their lives have changed since being reunited. They also told TnT about how another local radio show (unnamed) accused Todd and Tyler of exploiting their situation for ratings. Yes, Janet and Brendan felt so exploited that they feely came back to the studio, gave an update on their blossoming relationship, and brought with them lasagna and dessert. Im sure well continue to get updates as time goes on so stay tuned. With the earlier discussion about 101 fun things to do in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area bringing up the subject of banking, TnT spent some time discussing bank stories. Actually, because both of their wives at one time worked in the banking industry, they focused their discussion on how boring shop talk was when their wives would get together and talk about their jobs. They then pointed out that they, too, are guilty of shop talk but because they actually have an interesting job, it is acceptable. The guys also opened up the phone lines and a handful of listeners checked in with their own wacky banking stories. Trav came in a bit later and delivered his FWIW commentary from last nights 10pm KM3 newscast. He mentioned how MECA has bought the rights to Qwest Center - Home and then suggested a few of his own ideas for naming the new building. One of which, seemingly a backhanded comment towards TnT, was The Todd and Tyler Adult Emporium. Trav said he thought it was funny but he was about the only one. The gang then went into a sports discussion as Trav switched gears from commentator to sports reporter mode. There was some college baseball talk, among other subjects. TnT also got Sarah Simmons from KM3 on the phone and asked her to give Travis some hints on what to do in relation to reporting on sports, as Trav is going to be covering some college baseball stories for KM3 this weekend. You see Sarah got stuck doing most of the sports stories for Trav when the TV station decided to move him off the sports desk and into the give me your feedback desk. The guys also talked To Sarah about masturbating monkeys. BW returned a bit later in the show with todays e-news. During that segment, Sean Gnandt and Collin Bolton from the Funny Bone joined TnT in studio. Collin shared a couple of great stories including one about how he cant remember what his ex-wifes (of 5 years) face looks like. He also told TnT about how he was caught in the middle of a bank robbery a while back; a very interesting story. The e-news continued with a story about how Paul McCartney has knocked up his one-legged wife. Thankfully, according to BW, the baby has been shown to have both legs in tact. There was then some discussion about Carney Wilsons upcoming spread (legs, not butter surprisingly) in Playboy. Brian then read over some funny stuff from a Think before you say list before getting into a list of the top 10 reasons men fail with women, which was pretty amusing. That led into a discussion about saying I love you for the first time in a relationship and each member of the in-studio cast shared their stories. Well, that does it for the Thursday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay and make sure to rejoin Todd and Tyler tomorrow at 5:30am for the Friday edition of their show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
