Tuesday 6-3-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a little talk about Tyler’s new Led Zeppelin DVD, which he said was pretty cool. Consequently, Zeppelin was today’s bumper music throughout the program. The guys then spent some time discussing the new Bravo show that is based on the recent trend of dating reality TV shows. They all wondered that if the straight guys that appear on the show pretending to be gay happen to sleep with the bachelor for the sake of winning the prize, exactly how long would that straight guy be considered gay?

TnT then read over an e-mail from a guy that thinks their show is nothing but dick and fart jokes. Todd, Tyler, and BW all read over the portion of the email that said, ‘’Hahaha dick. Hahaha fart. Hahaha lesbian’’ and Jeremy isolated that into one clip. BW added the obligatory ‘’Hahaha dead baby story’’ to his, which was hilarious. The hate e-mail prompted TnT to replay the hate call Travis shared with them yesterday.

Also early in the show, TnT spent some time talking about a recent motorcycle accident that was featured on the news, they moved on to discuss the size of Trav’s ass, they discussed the new, blonde, intense hottie at Channel 7, and they spent some time discussing what the city of Omaha has done for the Royals organization, a conversation prompted by Trav’s FWIW last night.

BW came in a bit later in the show with the morning’s news report. They discussed at length the disturbing story of a recent West Side grad that was busted for 1^st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (a ‘’toddler’’ from the reports) for an incident that occurred at his own graduation party. They continued their discussion of the motorcycle accident from earlier and speculated that there had to be some video of the accident itself because the guys were taping themselves horsing around as the accident occurred. BW then shared a story about some tree thieves he snagged while at the 156^th and Dodge Street Bakers. He reported the make, model, color, and license plate of a car driven by two teens that stole a tree from the Baker’s parking lot. Management, according to BW, didn’t seem to care.

As the news continued, BW read over a survey that analyzed the differences in opinions about sins between 1983 and 2003 in the state of Iowa. Such things on the survey included people’s opinions about whether or not lying, whoring around, drinking hard liquor, and smoking pot are sins. No one was surprised to find out that the percentage of people who felt each item was a sin has dropped over the last 20 years. The gang also had a lengthy discussion about small town celebrations, ‘’INSERT TOWN NAME HERE days’’, expressing their opinion that every small town’s celebration is about the same.

Billy, a.k.a. Buddy Holly, joined Todd and Tyler in studio today. He’s appearing at the Rose Theater on Sunday night at 7:30pm for a Leukemia-Lymphoma benefit. After some talk about meeting some of his idols, The Crickets, he performed a couple of excellent tunes for the guys. He also did a tune called ‘’Hahaha Fart’’ for TnT to help them celebrate their hate e-mail from earlier in the show. It was pretty funny stuff. If you’d like to see Billy perform at the Rose this weekend, give them a call for ticket information. He didn’t have the number with him but I’m sure you can find it in the phone book somewhere.

Travis came in with the sports report and last night’s FWIW commentary a bit later. He began with his FWIW about the Johnny and how the city covers a majority of the expenses for the Royals. He even read over parts of the actual contract between the baseball team and the city. The gang discussed the situation at length, everyone sharing differing opinions. Trav said he thinks the Royals should embrace the CWS while Todd said that they should separate themselves from it. Everyone, though, seemed in agreement that the Johnny is too big for the crowd the Royals draw, which is rather sad. They all expressed their disappointment in this town for not getting out to the ball field to support the pro-level team. The gang then discussed the feedback Travis received on the subject, took a few calls fro listeners explaining why they don’t go to the games anymore, and Trav delivered the rest of this morning’s sports news.

TnT spoke to comedian Dave Attell of Comedy Central’s ‘’Insomniac’’ show today. He’s coming to the Funny Bone this week and will be joining the guys in studio on Friday. Dave, a New York guy, shared the details on how he got the gig on the show. As it turns out, he actually came up with the idea and pitched it to the cable network. Dave then shared some tales of traveling around to various places, including details about the live sex show he witnessed while in Amsterdam, which appeared on last week’s episode. He also talked with the guys about the poor reception he got in Dublin and how he and his crew bailed just 4 hours before the war in Iraq broke out. Dave went on to share a few tidbits of info about some of the upcoming things that we’ll see on his show. BW returned later in the show with the e-news. The gang talked a bit about the child humping rapper, R. Kelly. They moved on to talk about the hotties from Mulberry Lane, who will be in studio with TnT on Thursday. TnT and BW then discussed the recent changes in appearance made by the fat Dixie Chick. ‘’She’s got a Mohawk and beaver teeth’’ said Todd. Later, BW went into Zulu mode and Boobla Boobla-ed a high-pitch squeal. Following that, Brian did a sex offender list and read over the day’s ‘’Who the hell is that?’’ List. Brian then read over a list of a bunch of stupid things famous people have said, in the form of a quiz, and based upon the number of correct answers given, he determined exactly how gay TnT were. It appears that Tyler, having answered a ton of the entertainment related questions correctly, is king pole smoker.

Tomorrow Todd and Tyler will be joined by Dr. Ed live from his basement in Tyler, TX. They’re also scheduled to speak to another ‘’48 Hours’’ guy so make sure to join the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Wednesday show.
