| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 06-12-2003 Thursday 6-12-03 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with some talk about last nights 48 Hours program featuring rich Hollywood kids. It appeared that some of them are just clueless about what it means to have millions at their age. TnT both seemed to agree that Frankie Muniz of Foxs Malcolm In The Middle, of all the rich kids featured, is most destined to have a meltdown. The guys moved on to discuss Travs FWIW last night, which was about putting on billboards the names of men who are busted for picking up hookers. They then talked a bit about the local band Bright Eyes appearing on Letterman last night and from two separate phoned-in reports, they looked like a high school band. Also early, TnT took a phone call from a listener that referred to them as scummy pigs before the callers head exploded as though he had wondered too far away from his prison buddy and set off his collar. BW came in a bit later with the mornings news report. He read a story about a 22-year-old local guy who was busted for putting his girlfriends kid in a hot bath and burning the child. As the guys discussed the horrible story, BW made reference to the mother being a young whore. Shortly after the story, a call or two came in and informed BW that he actually knew the young mother. BW went into back-peddle mode and recanted his statement. The gang then discussed a bunch of sex offender type stories in a row including yet another masturbator at Cunningham Lake. One of those stories was about the teacher who was just fired for allegedly fooling around with a student 20 years ago. The guys took a call from the woman in that news story that recently came out and claimed that the teacher had had inappropriate sexual contact with her when she was 14. She gave her side of the story and expressed her disbelief that so many people have blindly supported the teacher, especially after the years of trouble the event has emotionally and mentally caused her. TnT, having never shown support for the teacher, offered their sympathy to the woman and said she was courageous for coming out with the story so long after the event took place. As the news moved along, there was some talk about Mars, TnT discussed the Canadian gay guys that got married, there was a story about some killer bees at a Wal-Mart that aided in a shoplifting case, and BW concluded the newscast with a gripping (literally) story about a man that had his testicles ripped off when he accidentally leaned too close to some sort of rotating machine. Coach Jack Dahm of the Creighton Blue Jays joined Todd and Tyler in studio this morning for a little talk about the College World Series. He talked with the guys about his duties as coach of the host team and shared his thoughts on this years tournament. Also during his visit, the guys got into a lengthy discussion about whether or not beer is served at various college sporting events, what the NCAAs official stance on the subject is, and why no beer is served at the family oriented CWS. Callers checked in to say theyve been able to get beers at various college sporting events, but Jack Dahm and, later, Travis disagreed with the callers saying it just wasnt possible. Eventually the callers won the debate, offering up example after example of times theyve bought beer at different events and pointing out the fact that Jack spends his time at the games in the dugout and Travis is normally on the sidelines (away from the real people). Trav later delivered the mornings sporting news. He also spent some time discussing his FWIW last night, which was about hookers, Johns, and billboards advertising those who get busted. He then talked with TnT about what his responsibilities at KM3 will be as they relate to the CWS coverage and his feed to the New Orleans affiliate, which led into a quickly shut down conversation about Travs contract at the local KM3 TV station. Todd and Tyler announced the details of this years Z-Bash at about 8:30am today. The event is taking place on Saturday August 23rd at Levi Carter Park. This years artists will include a local band (to be determined in July at a Battle of the Bands at the Anchor Inn), Skid Row, Vince Neil, Poison, and Lynard Skynard! All of the bands are already touring together for the summer and theyre making Z-92s Z-Bash one of their stops. TnT spoke to Bret Michaels of Poison this morning about the concert and from all accounts, its going to be a great event. Tickets for the concert are only $25 and will remain that price for good, as Z celebrates it 25th year of Rock-n-Roll. Tickets are available at any area Burger King location and during tomorrows show, between 7 and 9am, the Z staff will be out at local Burger Kings selling the tickets. Tune in tomorrow for all of the details. BW came in with the e-news a little later in the show. He began by talking about how more people watched Barbara Walters interview Monica Lewinsky a few years ago than watched her interview Hilary Clinton recently. He then reported that the Egyptians have banned the new Matrix movie, there was a story about a 70-year-old woman suing Rosie for allegedly hitting her in the mouth with a rubber ball that was fired into the audience at one of her shows, and there was some talk about the life and death of David Brinkley, who passed away today. Brian then wrapped up the e-news segment with a heartwarming story about a pregnant woman that fell from the top ropes of her loft apartment and impaled herself on a microphone stand on the ground floor. Josh Sneed and Jamie Lisso from the Funny Bone stopped by the studio today. They joined in on the topics of the day but really didnt have a chance to say too much because of several other comedy guests that checked in during their time with the guys. Consequently, theyll both be back on the show with Todd and Tyler tomorrow so make sure to tune in. Mark Gross phoned TnT from Lincoln today, where hes visiting his mother. He spent some time talking to the guys about a game show he recently wrapped up filming on called Funny Money. The show premiers on The Game Show Network on June 15th with Marks appearance to follow in a later episode. Mark then talked with the guys about writing for the Wayans brothers, mentioning that Damon Wayans has a gigantic, black hog. He told the guys that hell probably be back to the Funny Bone in the fall or winter months but would check in again sometime before that. Lewis Black from Comedy Central spoke to TnT a bit later in the show. A theater guy at heart, Lewis talked about the recent Tony Awards and theater in general. Lewis also mentioned that he and Dave Attell will be doing something in the near future, possibly a theater tour of comedy, which should be outstanding. He then talked about some of the projects hes recently attempted to be a part of, which included losing 3 acting parts (one of which was written specifically for him!). And in typical Lewis Black style, he somehow got on a rant about the troubles in the Middle East and the $400 tax checks that were all supposed to be getting from El Bush-o. Lewis will eventually be back at the Funny Bone so keep listening to Todd and Tyler for those details. Todd and Tyler are scheduled to be out at the Eddys Conoco to premier their new Todd and Tyler cups today at 11am. Some hotties from Boomers are also supposed to be joining them. Considering Im writing his update at 1pm, I dont know why I included this because its already happened but hey, Im sure Todd and Tyler wont mind me mentioning that they spent the afternoon hanging out with strippers. That does it for the Thursday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this mornings show and make sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow at 5:30am for the Friday program. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby- |
