| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 06-20-2003 Friday 6-20-03 Todd and Tyler started their show this morning by playing an audio clip of a voice mail left on their machine yesterday by Laurie, their former phone sex operator caller. The clip was only about 30 seconds long, although her detailed message (including sound effects) lasted nearly 10 minutes. Its just that she was so graphic, the first 30 seconds were all the guys could air. TnT joked about how they should insert Lester the Boner Killer into the phone sex message, much like they did for the vasectomy commercial earlier in the week. So after finding the appropriate sound effects, the screen door, the guys did just that. It was hilarious. After discussing the sexy message and playing what they could of the clip, TnT played another call left on their voice mail yesterday. As many of you may recall, BW recently told a road rage story about a woman he encountered on the road. He referred to her, if memory serves me correct, as a Fremont crack whore. Well, the lady heard BWs comments and phoned the guys machine to lodge a complaint. She ranted on BW for his insensitivity, called him a dick, and seemed most upset at BWs driving abilities and the fact that he dropped a bunch of f-bombs on her. Brian came in to the studio to defend himself but he didnt do a very good job of it. Before moving onto the news, TnT discussed Travs FWIW from last night, which neither of them saw. After getting a report about the content of the commentary, TnT were quite pleased to hear that Travis had a stance on how poorly the Catholic church is handling the whacking of little boys. They seemed most impressed by Travs revelation that he has questioned his faith a couple of times in recent years, sparked by the sexual abuse allegations and how the church is dealing with them. They brought the commentary up with Travis later when he came in with todays sports report. BW returned to the studio with this mornings newscast a bit later. The first few stories were all terribly disturbing. They included details about the body of a missing 13-year-old girl being found near a 114th Street trailer park, there was some talk of the 8th day of the search for the missing little boy in the Sarpy County landfill, and there was a story of a 14-year-old boy who was killed when a tractor flipped over on him while he was trying to assist his grandfather somewhere around Glenwood. Following those bad stories, things seemed to pick up a bit. The guys discussed a man in his underwear wrestling some police officers down at the Heartland of America park, there was talk about a big rocket-shaped jungle gym that was ripped off by some guys with a torch, a flat bed, and a crane, and TnT spent some time analyzing why children these days are so fat. Video games were blamed, as TnT commented on how kids today would rather sit on the couch playing the latest game and eating chips than getting outside and playing in the yard like they did when they were young. And of course, it didnt take BW long to bring death back to the newscast. He concluded todays news with a story about a hiker that was struck by lightening twice in just a few hours (the second blast killed him and sent him hurling down a 300-foot cliff) and there was a disturbing tale of a Florida boy who was eaten by alligators as he swam in a river. Trav came in a bit later in the show and joined in on the topics of the morning. Before entering the studio, Jeremy played Trav the entire phone sex voice mail from listener Laurie. He seemed to dig it, although he acted rather disgusted at first. Trav then commented on his catholic bashing FWIW last night and delivered this mornings sporting news, which included plenty of talk about the CWS player who was busted in the face with a pitch last night as he attempted a bunt. Jim Cantori from the Weather Channels Storm Stories spoke with Todd and Tyler this morning. He said that hes going to Chicago shortly to cover the anniversary of last years heat wave that killed 800 people in that area. The gang then got into a lengthy scientific discussion about the dew point, which not only bored Tyler but seemed to bore Jim as well. TnT also played Jim the phone sex voice mail, which seemed to make him oddly uncomfortable. Im sure Jim will be joining the guys on their show again in the future, especially if we get some wicked weather this summer, so stay tuned for more. Todd and Tyler spoke to Dr. John this morning. He phoned in from jail to talk to TnT about being locked up. Dr. John said that hes working in the kitchen now and everyone, including the guards, are being quite nice to him. He went on to discuss how he was recently turned down for house arrest instead of prison, which everyone seemed upset at. He also talked briefly about a possible federal appeal to his case, which might help to get him out of the pokey before his scheduled December 21st release date. Dr. John also talked with TnT about the two new stores hes planning to open in the Omaha area, although he couldnt give location details. He then went on to express his opinion that the police are probably done with him after he serves this sentence and he doesnt expect any more trouble in the future. TnT took a call from a listener named April this morning. She is a family friend of the foster family that has taken in the little boy that had his genitals bitten of by a rott a while back. She explained that the family, who takes care of 8 other special needs kids, is trying to work out arrangements to get the boy to a specialist out East that may be able to perform a surgery to give the little boy some genitals. Unfortunately, the family doesnt have the cash right now so their friends are putting together a few car washing events around the area to help raise the funds. The car washes are going to take place on June 27th at the IHOP on Cornhusker, June 28th at the 50th & L K-Mart, and on June 29th at the Burger King near 76th & Dodge Street. The car washes are taking place between 10-6pm or longer if needed and the price is just $5. If youre anywhere near the area, stop by for a washing and lets do what we can to help this little kid out. BW returned later in the show with todays e-news report. He was cut rather short, though, because Todd and Tyler needed to be off the air by 9am in order to start their vacations. The e-news pretty much consisted of a story about a possible Larry Flint sequel, talk of a Mr. Rogers salute special, people who are going to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a little Who the hell is that? Todd and Tyler are off all next week so make sure to tune into the Best Of. Keep in mind that the guys will be back on the air the following Monday so make sure to tune in at 5:30am for the welcome back show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
