TnT Show 08-22-2003

Friday 8-22-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by welcoming Black Tony to the studio. With him he brought his Jason mask, the hockey mask made famous by the horror film. He talked with the guys about driving around town while wearing his mask scaring the crap out of little kids. From there, the gang moved on to some Z-Bash talk. From all accounts, the weather is going to cooperate tomorrow, sunny and hot, and everyone is anxiously awaiting the concert. The gang took some time to share a few Z-Bash memories from years past and opened the phone lines to listeners with their own memories throughout the remainder of the show. Also early, the guys talked a little about how Tommy Frazier, who was going to be brought into the studio by TnT’s buddy Jimmy, the host of “Cornhusker Insider”, has refused to do the Todd and Tyler show. They were happily amused, stating that after having made up with both Scott Frost and Eric Crouch, it’s nice to have at least one former Husker QB that still hates them.

BW came in with the news a bit later in the show. The gang discussed a plethora of topics including the recent Lincoln prison escape, a story about horse abuse allegations, the 10 Commandments religious freaks protesting the monument’s removal in Alabama, scientists recent findings on the possibility of life ever having existed on Mars, and BW read over a somewhat confusing story about the laws regarding underage teens that hump on each other.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary on the Alabama 10 Commandments story. He also talked with the guys about a possible new movie project he and Jeff Foxworthy may be involved in that would feature Damon Waynes being put into the Witness Protection Program and ending up living with the two comedians as they play characters that live in a backwoods trailer home. As details come about, I’m sure Larry will fill us all in.

James the Giant Peach joined the guys in studio with some further Z-Bash talk. He went over the list of things people cannot bring as well as mentioning the things that are okay to bring to this year’s Z-Bash. He also joined in on the Z-Bash memories conversation as more callers checked in with stories from the past.

Travis opted out today and stayed home so BW took over the sports report. There was quite a bit of college football talk during the sporting news including some chat about Division 2. It seems that everyone is getting excited to exit the summer doldrums and get into the fall football season. There wasn’t much talk about the FWIW commentary done by Kent Pavelka on KM3’s newscast last night which led everyone to believe it was probably pretty boring.

Following the sports, Todd and Tyler were joined by Michael Johns and Sean Gnandt from the Funny Bone. Michael is a hypnotist and from all accounts, unlike Medicine Hat, Michael’s “coke free”. He talked with the guys a bit about his show and then moved on to discuss a whacked relationship he had for two years with a Vegas showgirl that practically drove him insane. He also joined in on the other topics of the morning and seemed to enjoy his time on the TnT show. For reservations to see Michael Johns perform at the Funny Bone just call the Bone Phone at 493-8036.

As mentioned, Sean Gnandt also came into the studio today. He began his visit with the guys by telling Todd and Tyler about how he and Jessica Dol made out last night. Evidentially the two hooked up at an Omaha bar by accident and after hanging out and getting “100 sheets to the wind” as Jessica put it, they poured out into the parking lot after last call. They chit chatted for a bit, Sean asked if he could kiss Jessica, they chit chatted some more, and then Sean pulled her away from the crowd of people standing around. He put her up against a wall, asked if he could kiss her again, and then dove tongue first into Z-92’s mid-day hottie. TnT got both sides of the story from Sean and Jessica and after hearing the details, Todd and Tyler decided to make the two reenact the kiss before leaving the air today.

As the show progressed, Todd and Tyler continued to take calls from listeners with memories of the Z-Bash. This led into talk about flashing and where everyone saw their first actual live breast. After some on-target calls from listeners, a couple of them got off the Z-Bash mark and started branching out into non Z-bash related “first tit” stories. Slightly later, some of them began to turn the first tit tales into “first tit that was traumatizing”. One of the most disturbing came from a caller that detailed seeing his grandma’s pie.

BW returned later in the show with today’s e-news. He began by reading over a list of the top 10 best and top 10 worst television shows for children as determined by some uptight parental group. Following that, there was some “Animal House” and “Titanic” talk. TnT also took a call from Holly, a 14-year-old girl. As many of you will recall, Holly called the show a few years ago and bitched at TnT because she couldn’t get into the Z-Bash for free. The guys have played her hate call countless times over the years. Well anyway, Holly’s slightly more mature now and phoned the guys to tell them that she has her ticket for this year’s concert and is looking forward to the show. Yes, Todd and Tyler have won over yet another former hate caller!

BW continued the e-news with a quiz about things that happened during 1994. The guys seemed a bit bored with most of the quiz, Tyler opting to interrupt BW’s boring parts by reading the list of top Division 2 football teams. Later, BW wrapped up the e-news with a story about some garbage men that got busted for humping on a hooker in their truck.

Before leaving the air this morning, Todd and Tyler brought Jessica Dol back in studio to reenact the kiss she shared with Sean Gnandt last night. Jessica seemed rather nervous, repeatedly stating that she didn’t want to do it, but eventually the two sucked some face. Cheers erupted. I’m sure we’ll hear more about this blossoming love affair between Jessica and Sean in the next month or so because Sean isn’t scheduled to head back to LA until after September. The two have about a month to show each other their etchings like bunnies. Details are sure to emerge.

Well, that does it for the Friday update. Keep in mind that the Z-Bash is tomorrow. The gates open at 10am and the first band will take the stage at about 1pm. It should be yet another killer show so make sure you get your ticket and join Todd and Tyler and the entire Z-92 gang for the party. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
