TnT Show 09-03-2003

Wednesday 9-3-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing a variety of subjects. There were a few e-mails this morning, including a hate e-mail. The gang then moved on to discuss last night’s episode of “Nip Tuck” on FX, which featured a 3-some with two hot high school girls and the guy TnT spoke to from the show yesterday morning. They were also curious about a 116 degree “ball boil” that is supposed to kill all of your sperm and lessen the chance of impregnating your humpee. The gang then moved on to discuss a Columbus, NE bank robber that was caught after robbing a couple of small town banks. A few callers checked in on the subject before TnT moved on.

BW came in with today’s newscast. Before he began, he shared another road rage story, which was prompted by a litterer. The gang also took an early morning call from Dr. Ed who informed them that he wouldn’t be able to join them this morning for his bi-weekly visit because his mother-in-law passed away. He should be back in a week, though. Also early, TnT spoke to Trisha Meuret of Channel 7 about the Columbus robber, which BW reported on in the newscast. He continued with talk of a 9-year-old driver, the national Do Not Call list, retarded light bulb salesmen, and the blood bank being all dried up.

As the news continued the gang spent some time discussing the differences between the ACT and SAT college entrance exams. Everyone shared their scores, BW having received a 12 or 13 on the ACT. Once caller pointed out that if you mark C for every answer on the ACT, you’d get a 12, which everyone found amusing. The gang also spent some time discussing a list of 700 or so famous people who came from Nebraska. As they went through the list, they discussed each person mentioned. They then took a phone call from a guy that is a part of Untitled Document, who shared a variety of details about famous musicians that have come from Nebraska, many of which were missed by the big list from the paper. BW later wrapped up the newscast with a heartwarming story about an Asian lady that killed her husband by twisting his nuts tightly.

Todd and Tyler’s comedy pal Mary Ellen Hooper phoned in today and talked with the guys. She recently got married to a Wisconsin boy that works behind the scenes in Hollywood. She talked with the gang about the marriage before moving on to discuss her friendship with Brook Shields, who still hasn’t called TnT since the last time Mary Ellen tried to get her to talk to the guys. Mary Ellen is coming to the Funny Bone next week so make sure to call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. She will most likely be joining TnT in studio as well so stay tuned.

Trav came in with the sports report later in the show. He delivered this morning’s sporting news, which included lots of college football talk, and also spent some time talking with TnT about recent FWIW commentaries. Tune in tonight to KM3 at 10pm for the nightly news and check out Trav’s recently returned sports report and his FWIW.

Chad from Ticket Express stopped by the studio this morning and hung out with the guys for a while. He talked at length about the availability of tickets for events, sporting or concerts, all across the world. He detailed some of the more popular events and the difficulty of getting tickets to such things as the Masters and the Super Bowl, as well as how difficult it is to get tickets to some Husker games this year. For all of your ticket needs, get in touch with Chad at Ticket Express on the web at College World Series Tickets | Nebraska Football Tickets | Omaha Ticket Broker | or via phone at 398-1999.

Alan Rosenberg joined the guys via phone this morning. He and his wife Marge, the hottie on CBS’s “CSI”, are coming to town Thursday for the Special Friends celebrity golf tournament. While here, they will both be performing a play called “Love Letters” while here. The play is on Friday night and tickets are $20-$35. Alan talked with the gang about his roll on “The Guardian” and his wife’s shooting schedule with “CSI”. He then filled TnT in on all of the famous people that are coming to the golf tournament, discussed his plans to play blackjack at Harrah’s, and shared a story about how he won $12,000 at the boats two years ago and put nearly that much back into the boats last year.

BW returned late in the show with today’s e-news segment. The gang had a lengthy asteroid conversation, debating on whether or not we as a planet could survive an impact. The gang moved on to discuss Cameron Diaz’s broken nose, a gripping tale from the Onion web site, among other things, including a Democrat Vs. Republican forwarded e-mail.

Well, that does it for the Wednesday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay and make sure to tune in tomorrow at 5:30am for the Thursday show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
