Thursday 9-4-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with some talk about how this week’s Husker opponent, Utah State, is ranked 117 out of 117 in Division One football. TnT were rather amused while speculating about the upcoming Sunday paper touting the Huskers potential victory over the 117^th ranked team as being some sort of second coming of the Huskers. They pondered why college football fans, particularly Husker fans, don’t dig the NFL as much as college ball, stating that the NFL puts out a much superior product where any team can win on any given day, unlike the world of college football where teams like the Huskers are obviously going to blow Utah State out of the water.

Also early in the show, the gang discussed the egging of the Terminator while he met with a crowd in California. They wished Arnold had pummeled the guy, stating it would have gotten him more votes. Todd then moved on to talk about sitting next to Yoda while checking out the new Kevin Costner cowboy epic. TnT also discussed getting some pub on a Chicago based pro pit bull and rotty web site. Evidentially, the web site people believe TnT incited a murder of a local area pit bull based on comments they have made on their show and their opinions that those two breeds of dogs are nothing but trouble. TnT defended their previous statements, pointing to the nearly daily cases of pit bull and rotty attacks in the papers and more specifically, pointing out some of the more vicious “child mauled by dog” stories that have come out in recent years.

BW came in with today’s newscast. Before he began, the gang discussed a web site called Shane’s World that features a van full of pseudo porno stars going around to college campuses and letting students get taped humping on them. TnT liked the idea, stating they wished such an idea had come about when they were in school. Shortly after, they recanted their statements, saying that they’re kind of glad video tape wasn’t around when they were college guys because they wouldn’t want proof of some of the nasty things they did coming back to haunt them.

When the news began, there was some talk about the fire fighters choosing to vote for the mayor’s pay freeze. They moved on to discuss the upcoming Dodge Street Expressway project, talk about the death penalty, and they spent some time discussing and taking phone calls on battling poker runs. TnT then talked with BW about the Labor Day weekend and how the police stopped a bunch of drunk drivers. Brian later wrapped up the news segment of today’s show with a heartwarming story about cannibalism out of South Africa.

Trav came in a bit later in the show and spent some time talking with TnT about their early morning hate e-mail from the pit bull and rotty lover web site out of Chicago. The gang took lots of phone calls from listeners and with little exception, everyone seemed to agree with the guys. Some callers shared their own horror stories about such dogs with TnT. The gang eventually moved on as Travis delivered today’s sports report.

From the Funny Bone, Auggie Smith, the “out of his mind” comic from “Seattle” joined the guys in studio for a while today. He put his two cents in on the vicious dog subject. Later, he discussed donkey shows in Mexico, J.J. Walker’s outdated comedy routine, and he detailed a part of his live where he dated a phone sex operator, which was pretty amusing. Auggie joined in on the other topics of this morning’s show and seemed to enjoy being back on the air with Todd and Tyler. As the show moved on, the gang spent a little time continuing earlier discussions from the morning. They then took some time to read over a Cosmo article about 9 “triggers” to turn on men. There were some odd triggers mentioned, such as sucking on a guy’s bottom lip, kissing the front of his neck, and licking a particular spot on his feet. TnT didn’t seem to agree with most of those, however, they did seem to like how about 5 of the 9 total triggers actually involved various parts of a man’s junk.

BW returned later in the show with today’s e-news segment. The gang began by talking to Tommy, of the new advertiser Tommy O’s. They asked him about exactly what an oxygen bar is, what a “Smartini” is, and more. Tommy later said that he might try to hook TnT up with some oxygen for a post-Monday Night Football Tuesday morning show. BW then got into today’s report, as the gang discussed the dynamics of celebrity deaths coming in 3s, a lowering in CD prices, and they had a lengthy conversation about the “Spaniard Grammy’s”. TnT brought in Jose from their Spanish-speaking sister station to discuss the award ceremony. They also played a clip or two from the Spanish-speaking radio library, one of which was a daily noontime prayer read in “Spaniard” over the 97.7FM airwaves.

The e-news continued with talk of a new Justin Timberlake / Ronald McDonald doll morph, affectionately referred to as the Ronald McTimberlake doll by TnT, they discussed a story of a 23-year-old Amish kid getting shot for tossing tomatoes at a car, and BW read over a quiz based on events that have happened during the month of September. He then wrapped up the e-news with a heartwarming story about a grandma and mother that pimped out their pre-teen kids/grandkids for sex. TnT scolded BW harshly so hopefully that story will be the last child rape story to air during one of Brian’s segments.

TnT then left the air this morning by using their new signoff. As usual, Todd said, “Thanks for watching. Good night.” Tyler then added his punctuation, which came up earlier in today’s show as TnT discussed the college kids humping porn stars story. Tyler ended today’s show by uttering, hilariously I might add, “Lick my ass”.
