TnT Show 09-08-2003

Monday 9-8-03

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a little talk about Warren Zevon, dead at 56 of lung cancer. They played a tune of his to kick off the show and discussed his last album effort, “The Wind”. From there, the guys moved on to discuss their weekends. Tyler had a wedding to attend on Saturday and was able to enjoy a beer at “Brown Eye”, the local school that was rented out for the ceremony. He also watched the Penn State game, disappointed in their loss and setting himself up for the possibility that the Huskers might beat Penn State next weekend. Todd didn’t get to see any of the Husker game because he and his wife opted to enjoy the nice weather and went on a bike ride together. The guys then played yet another sexy phone call from the regular caller and former phone sex operator, Laurie. This message, 8 minutes long, had to be edited down to a mere 30 seconds of playable audio, which TnT happily shared with us all today.

Also early in the show, the gang discussed more college and pro football as they were joined in studio by former Husker Rob Zatechka. Before spending time talking with Rob about his work in the hospital, his schooling to become a doctor, his time on the Husker squad, and his NFL career, the guys talked about the big pool they allegedly put fake money into on Friday morning with regular caller Child Prodigy. Tyler’s pick for this weekend ended up losing so his imaginary $50 is gone, much like what happened to about 50 of the others that joined in on the fun. Todd, though, chose a winner so he’s still in the pool with just 23 or so people remaining. Tyler, who loaned Todd 13 imaginary dollars on Friday to get Todd up to the $50 mark, tried to co-opt himself into Todd’s victory, stating that he didn’t want paid back the $13 if he could share in an appropriate percentage of Todd’s imaginary profits if he happens to win. Todd, not looking forward to splitting the possible thousands of imaginary dollars with Tyler, reimbursed him $15 and effectively shut Tyler out of the pool completely.

BW came in with the news a bit later in the show. The gang discussed the city’s chopping block policy and how they had to fire some of the non-union people who didn’t vote for the mayor’s budget proposal. They moved on to talk about how Roger Van was sentenced to 17 to 30 years in the pokey, there was talk about yet another one of the bridges of Madison County (made famous by the movie) set ablaze, and the gang discussed a sneaky fire hydrant opener. TnT also had a lengthy conversation about the President’s speech last night, where he requested another 87 billion dollars from us all to help with Iraq. After that discussion, the news continued and the guys got off on a tangent about Todd possibly being drug to the upcoming mother of all chick flicks, “Under The Tuscan Sun”. Everyone piled on Todd relentlessly, stating that he’s probably gay if he allows himself to be talked into seeing the film.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and spent a bit of time talking about the Huskers. He basically wrapped it all up by saying that Lord sucks and the defense looks okay. He then went off on a rant about the NFL having old refs, which was pretty much the extent of his commentary this morning. Tune in later in the week as Larry the Cable Guy checks in with more commentaries.

Travis joined the guys in studio with the sports report a bit later. Before he got into it, TnT played him the new clips from phone sex operator Laurie. They then got into a discussion about the various noises one makes while in the act of humping. Everyone attempted to describe his own love noises and at one point, BW erupted into wailing cry that sounded as though he was being murdered. Evidentially, that’s what it sounds like when the doves cry in BW’s house. It was horrible (yet hilarious) and quite reminiscent of when that guy bit the testicle off of the baby pig on the show a few years ago.

When Travis finally got to the sports, there was plenty of college football talk. His Lock of the Week came in, making his record 2-0 for the season, rather impressive given the history of Attaboy Trav’s past picks. The gang also talked a little NFL before Travis read over this year’s Golden Rods roster, the team you can watch on the big screen prior to tonight’s MNF game with Todd and Tyler as they host their first Monday Night Football party of the year at Brewsky’s at 7pm.

Following the sports, Todd and Tyler welcomed Jennifer to the studio. She won the Panty Parade at the Anchor last week and won the trip to NYC to see Poison’s “Storytellers” recorded for VH1. She is going to speed date at Brewsky’s tonight and stopped in this morning to talk with TnT about the kind of men she digs. A dancer at Dream Girls, Jennifer talked a bit about how difficult it is to pick up men, especially those that come into the club. She then talked about the types of men she likes, discussed some past relationships that have went wrong, and later admitted to the guys that she’s had a 3-some with another girl and a guy. James the Giant Peach also joined TnT in studio and shared a couple of stories about stupid things past speed dating guys have said/done while attempting to impress hotties from years past. By the way, if you’d like to check out a photo of Jennifer before showing up to Brewsky’s tonight and speed dating her, simply go to the main Z-92.com web page, click the graphic for the Z-Bash pictures, navigate to page #2 of photos and look at the upper right corner photo. She’s the hottie in TnT panties wearing the “Got Meth?” t-shirt.

BW returned later in the show with today’s e-news segment. The gang talked again about the death of Warren Zevon, they moved on to a little Simon & Garfunkle news, there was more talk about actor Tom Sizemore getting busted for thumping on yet another woman, and plenty of chat about CBS’s decision to burn the CSI franchise into the ground by coming out with yet another spin-off. Later, they discussed the death of some post office guy named “Mo”, Brian read over several sexual myths, there was some masturbation talk, and then BW wrapped it all up with a story about a whacked guy that stripped naked in a bank and then fell asleep on the couch.

That does it for the Monday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay of this morning’s show and be sure to rejoin the guys tomorrow morning at 5:30am for the Tuesday program. Also, keep in mind that the first Monday Night Football party of the year starts at 7pm this evening at Brewsky’s off of 153rd and Q Street. Join Todd and Tyler, BW, Black Tony, and speed dater Jennifer as they kick off yet another year of stellar MNF parties at Brewsky’s. Thanks for watching. Good night. Lick my ass. -Corby-
