Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a little talk about their weekends. Todd went to Iowa City to see Arizona State play. While there, he noticed quite a bit of students in the crowd, much more than in Lincoln. He ran into some bad fans that dropped the, “Why don’t you get a haircut!” line on him, too. On a related note, the Packers sent Todd out of Child Prodigy’s alleged, fake money NFL pool this weekend by chalking up a big “L”. Child Prodigy phoned in and talked about the pool for a bit and from the sounds of it, he’s going to allegedly run another one beginning in the 5^th week of the NFL season.

From there, the gang moved on to discuss other weekend activities before bringing in Trisha, who was sitting in today for the vacationing BW. She’s been covering all of the Pratt family stories for Channel 7 so she spent some time with TnT discussing that. She then delivered today’s newscast, which included some talk about a bunch of dirt in the new arena, a bass fisherman vs. rodeo guys argument, and a discussion about how the “kids with cancer” card is a legitimate verbal retaliation to use against someone who thinks your hair might be too long.

Also during the newscast, TnT spent some time talking with Trisha about her current “guy she’s hanging out with”, what she refers to her boyfriend as because she’s a pansy and has obvious commitment issues. After some prodding, TnT found out that he’s a lawyer that she met through mutual friends and as it turns out, they live in the same building. Trisha then told a story that TnT thought rather amusing and they discussed it throughout the rest of the show. To catch you up, here’s the story.

Evidently, Joe, what Trisha referred to him as this morning, had a sister come into town to visit at the same time that Trisha was on one of her weekend trips to Kansas City with friends. Joe’s sister wanted to dance so he took her and a group of friends out to the Max. Before closing, he mentioned an after-hours party at his place and a couple of gay guys overheard and ended up following the group back to Joe’s apartment. When bedtime rolled around, the two gay guys were a bit drunk so Joe offered to let them sleep over. He brought out a sleeping bag for them and then went to bed, closing his door behind him.

When morning came, Joe awoke to the feeling of someone scratching his back. Weighing the alternatives, Joe hoped in his mind that his sister had come into his room and for whatever reason was the one giving him the scratching. Unfortunately for Joe, a straight man, it was one of the gay guys giving him the rubdown. He jumped out of bed, ran to the kitchen and began cleaning up, all the while avoiding the two gay guys that were still lingering as his sister prodded the one jokingly asking, “What where you doing in my brother’s room?” The story doesn’t quite stop there. Several weeks later, Trisha and Joe were hanging out when the phone rang. It was the gay guy that had crawled into bed with Joe that morning. He wanted to hang out with Joe later that night so Joe then explained to the caller that he wasn’t gay and that he wasn’t sure how the gay guy ever got that impression.

As you might imagine, TnT took the story and ran with it all day. They asked first off why Joe didn’t ask the gay guys to leave his party when he had never met them. Secondly, they wondered why Joe didn’t make it clear right from the start that he wasn’t gay. Thirdly, they wondered why Joe didn’t tell the guy he was straight when the gay man woke him up with the backrub the following morning. Fourth, they wondered why Joe’s first reaction to being hit on by a gay man was to run to the kitchen and start “cleaning up”. Fifth, they wondered how the gay guy got Joe’s phone number for the call that was placed several weeks later.

The gang bantered the questions around for a bit, each weighing in on his own thoughts of the story. Everyone seemed convinced that Joe might have gay tendencies, based upon the massive amount of unanswered questions detailed in the previous paragraph. Eventually Joe spoke to TnT on the phone after another hilarious round of “Watch how many times Todd misdials the number”. Joe gave his side of the story and from the sounds of it he didn’t proclaim his straightness right away because he was in a little bit of shock, not knowing what to do. That and he has gay friends and didn’t want to make it seem like he was a gay basher by booting the gay guy out of his bed on that fateful morning. TnT also seemed to pick up from Joe, who was actually very cool with the guys on the phone, that Joe’s sister is a bit of a “crazy” woman and may have been egging on the situation the whole time just to watch her brother squirm.

Travis stopped in today and delivered the morning sports report. He spent some time talking with the guys about his new sports TV show with co-host Tommy Frazier, which premiered on KM3 last night. Trisha saw it so she gave her thoughts and from Trav’s point of view, the show turned out really well. TnT, though, didn’t see it. TnT also recapped the entire story of Trisha’s boyfriend and Travis seemed to be in agreement with TnT that her man had ample opportunities to tell the gay guys he was straight but he didn’t seem willing or wanting to take advantage of any of them.

A bit later in the show, TnT did a little of their magical trained counseling work for a female listener named Jennifer. She asked the guys whether or not it would be normal for her, 28-years-old, and her husband of 3 years, 35-years-old, to only be getting their hump on twice a month. TnT felt the number was very low and tried to pinpoint what sort of troubles the couple would be having in their relationship that would make 2 bangs per month a reasonable number. Jennifer gave them the impression that her man, Paul, is just tired. Jennifer then put Paul on the phone and he had a little chat with TnT about the situation. His story, of course, didn’t match what Jennifer said. Paul was under the impression that they have sex 8-9 times a month, not two. He also pointed out that Jennifer turns him down for sex much more frequently than she originally led TnT to believe. After looking at both sides of the story and hearing two completely different interpretations from each party, TnT concluded that the couple has “communication problems” that they need to work on.

Following their trained counseling session, TnT took a few phone calls from gay men that wanted to talk about Trisha’s boyfriend’s story. One shared some details about his sex life and informed the guys that straight men do go to the Max to dance but their being straight doesn’t deter him from hitting on them. In fact, he claimed to have turned a couple of otherwise straight guys into pole smokers after getting them drunk and drugged up. Later still, as the conversation continued, another gay man checked in and seemed to be all over Travis. At one point, Trevor the caller said he wants to kiss Trav and claimed he could have the sports guy on his knees in a matter of minutes. TnT got a kick out of that and had to answer to an angry Travis who phoned them shortly after wondering why they didn’t have his back more. It was pretty funny.

Trisha came in a bit later in the show with this morning’s e-news. There was quite a bit of Emmy talk, Trish read over a list of things boyfriends and girlfriends call each other, and the gang announced the winner of the Nugent and limo tickets they had been auctioning off all morning as part of the fundraiser for the Pratt family. An officer named Matt ended up with the winning bid of $500. Also on a related note, Roz stopped in and talked with the guys about the poker run she has organized for the Pratt family fundraiser, which is taking place on Saturday and will end up down at the Anchor, where TnT will also be having a fundraiser party. Details of both the poker run and TnT’s party to help raise money for the family of Officer Pratt will continue every day this week on the show so stay tuned.
