| Straight Pimpin ![]() | TnT Show 09-26-2003 Friday 9-26-03 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning with a reminder of tomorrow’s benefit for the Pratt family at the Anchor Inn. They also welcomed Black Tony to the studio for his weekly Friday morning visit. TnT then spent a couple of minutes talking about another “pee and semen all over your hotel rooms” report from last night’s episode of “Prime Time Live”. From there, the guys moved on to discuss an article from the paper about how the River City Round-up necks aren’t spending any money in the Old Market because they’re afraid of the city. TnT also read an early morning e-mail from a listener that wondered why God gave the Pope Parkinson’s. The guys also spent a little time discussing last night’s Husker game. It turned out to be rather boring so both of the guys only stuck around to see the first half. Tyler spent the second half watching a taped “West Wing” while Todd watched his taped episode of “Nip/Tuck”. TnT also commented on a news report that featured a drunk hot chick at a local bar that immediately became quite ugly when she yelled “Go Huskers!” into the camera. Lester came in with today’s newscast. He began with a story about a pug pitcher getting busted for animal abuse, some talk of elephant thievery, a Japanese earthquake possibly taking out Alaska and there was more “Do not call” list talk. TnT found out that one of the 8 people who voted against the list, of the 400+ who voted yesterday, was none other than Lee Terry. The gang also had a lengthy conversation about their suspicions of UN translators, speculating that they could be lying about people are saying and therefore have the ability to cause wars. Following the news, TnT were joined in studio by a 19-year-old potential calendar hottie named Lavon and her mom, Cindy. TnT commented on her photos and then reminded everyone that the deadline to get your photos submitted for the 2004 calendar is on Wednesday. A bit later, a few other hotties showed up in studio and hung out for a bit. One was a calendar girl last year, I believe, while the other is trying to get on this year. Lester rejoined the guys a bit later and informed them that Robert Palmer died of a heart attack at the age of 54 while in Paris this morning. TnT were bummed out because they had just talked to Palmer a few months ago on their show. They played a clip of their conversation with Palmer and then mentioned that Jeremy would play the entire 25-minute interview on Saturday morning’s Best Of. Trisha phoned in this morning from Boston to tell TnT about her trip so far. She and some of her female friends are staying at a house rented by two guys. TnT warned Trisha, especially after the pee and semen exposé they saw on TV last night, to watch where they sit as the guys have most likely twisted off on every piece of furniture in the house. Trish then told them about the Red Sox game they went to see last night, which TnT followed up with a request for Trisha and her friends to do a topless pillow fight. Trish should be back in on Monday morning for BW, who will return Thursday morning to the show. Trav phoned in today from Mississippi and talked with the guys about last night’s Husker game. According to the statistics, S. Miss should have won the game, having out performed the Huskers in many categories according to the numbers. He then talked about how “unbelievable” the drunk students were that were right behind the Husker team and told us that they were spitting and throwing things on the NU players all night. He then moved on to talk about some of the pre-game tailgating, focusing on the strange food, and restated how ugly the Mississippi college girls are. Travis then gave his Lock of the Week for this week. From what I understood, the lock is Northern Illinois at home giving 6 to Iowa State. After that, TnT let Travis go and Lester came in with today’s sports report. He later concluded the report by reading over and discussing with TnT a list of the top 10 rookies of all time in the NFL. Kirk Noland from the Funny Bone joined the guys in studio today. He spent the morning hanging out with TnT fitting in where he could, as the morning was very busy. He talked with the guys a bit about his web site, http://www.midgetcalls.com, and described some of the “midget calls” he makes during his act. One of which TnT played from his CD before leaving the air today. On his web site he has a section full of pictures of naked hotties with his face buried between their boobs. In order for you to get the free password to that section of the site, you’ve got to go see his show at the Funny Bone. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036. Down To Here joined TnT in studio today and performed a couple of acoustic tunes for the guys. They are going to be performing tomorrow at the Anchor Inn as part of the Officer Pratt family fundraiser, which begins at 5pm. The doors to the Anchor will be opened all day but TnT won’t arrive until 5 and the band won’t play until after 7. Make sure you join the gang down at the Anchor for this very good cause. By the way, you can catch Down To Here performing at the Point After in Lincoln tonight, right off of the Lincoln airport exit close to the Dr. John’s store. Speaking of Dr. John’s, Dr. John phoned in again this morning from the Douglas County Correctional facility. When asked about how things are going for him, he replied, “I’m ready to go home.” He then went on to say that he’s lost 52 pounds while in the pokey. Dr. John also mentioned that it’s quite loud where he’s at and informed TnT of his newly updated release date of December 4th. Before ending his talk with TnT, Dr. John had to get in one jab, as you’d expect, and asked everyone to vote out the judge that wouldn’t let him take work release, a judge named Caniglia. I’m sure when Dr. John gets out of jail, we’ll all be hearing that judge’s name a bit more. Todd and Tyler were supposed to interview Paula Zahn of CNN this morning but at the time she was scheduled to talk to the guys Jeremy got a call saying she couldn’t do it because she has laryngitis. Perhaps they’ll reschedule for a future date. Bret Michaels of Poison spoke to TnT this morning. He’s coming to the Royal Grove in Lincoln for a solo performance on October 7th. He spent some time talking with TnT about the summer tour, which included their stop at this year’s Z-Bash. They discussed CC falling off the stage and then moved on to briefly cover what happened between Vince and Bret towards the end of their tour. Evidentially, there was a mix-up between Poison’s drummer and the bass player for Vince banging the same groupie. It led to confrontation that was later cleared up by a late-night heart-to-heart between the two rockers. Bret then spent some time talking with TnT about a few other things, including how the TnT cover of Omaha Magazine now hangs on his wall, the current solo tour until Christmas, and more. It was cool to hear Bret on the air with TnT again and from the sounds of it, he’ll be joining the guys in studio before the Royal Grove concert in a week or so. Stay tuned for that. BW checked in from Alaska this morning and delivered another Tim O’Neill commercial. He then talked briefly about his plans for the remaining portion of his trip. He’ll be returning to the TnT show on Thursday morning so make sure to tune in for that. Clete Blakeman, former Husker and current Division 1 ref, checked in today from Mississippi and talked with the guys about last night’s Husker game for a bit. He was seated next to a bunch of S. Miss fans so he talked to the guys about that. He also said he was looking for Travis at the game but didn’t spot him. Clete will check in again as the season progresses. Lester returned late in today’s show with the e-news. During his report, TnT got Lee Terry on the phone. They asked Lee about his vote against the creation of the “Do not call” list and after hearing Lee’s explanation about how many of his constituents work for the telemarketing industry and stand to lose their jobs if the law goes into effect, TnT seemed to understand his point of view. They did, though, still disagree with it. Lee told the guys that he knew his side of the argument wouldn’t win but he had to do what he felt was best for the people in his district. TnT still poked a little fun at Lee for the 8 to 400+ vote, though. Well, that about does it for the update today. Tune in on Sunday night for the 3rd Shift Replay of this morning’s show, tune in Saturday morning for the Best Of, which will feature the Robert Palmer interview, and make sure you get out to the Anchor Inn on Saturday to show your support for the family of Officer Pratt. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. -Corby-
