Todd and Tyler began their show this morning with some talk about Rush’s drug addiction. Tyler referred to him as “a piece of crap” as they railed on all of the spin-doctors in the Rush listening base saying they’ll support him no matter what. The gang then moved on to discuss their weekends. Tyler threw a football party in which he gave all of the Husker fans that attended a hard time for Saturday’s loss. He was impressed with the Husker fans, though, for taking every verbal blow directly on the chin. The guys also talked about a local TV news story about a video e-mail a local family sent to their loved one in Iraq. One of the ladies on the video e-mail said to the overseas soldier, “Good thing you didn’t see the Husker game. It was horrible.” TnT both exploded on the idiotic comment yelling, “He’s at war!” and railing on the lady for having no real perspective of the world she lives in.

Also early in the show, TnT were joined in studio by former Husker and current Dr.-to-be Rob Zatechka. During his visit, the gang had a lengthy discussion about college football, where the Huskers are now ranked, and the ranking system in general as it relates to the end of the season. BW joined in on the topic, too, before diving into today’s newscast.

This morning’s news report was filled with more talk about another possible cougar on the loose in Omaha, an Elkhorn couple’s cat winning “Best In Show”, a pit bull battle royal, a bit of insurance talk, some discussion of Ollie the Trolley, a guy that walked the lengthy of Loch Ness underwater, and they had a laugh or two at the expense of some TV political analyst who’s last name is “DeBitch”.

Kate, Todd and Tyler’s speed dater for tonight, joined the guys in studio for a bit. She works at Brewsky’s, where she was recruited for the speed-dating event, and spent a bit of time talking with TnT about the type of guy she likes. She also shared a bit of her past, stating that she recently broke up with her boyfriend of 3-years after he left to go to law school in Michigan. Kate seemed pretty cool and open to dating anyone so if you’re joining TnT at Brewsky’s for their Monday Night Football party tonight, get on the list to date Kate.

Travis came in a bit later and spent some time discussing sports with the guys. He detailed his trip down to Missouri for the Husker loss, talked about his Missouri yellow shirt, and he also mentioned how his Lock of the Week didn’t come in because of the points. Later, Travis joined in on TnT’s lengthy discussion of the college football ranking system and division championships from earlier in the morning. Travis also, as usual, mentioned he had no idea what his FWIW would be about tonight.

Todd and Tyler called last week’s winner of their Football Flyaway contest this morning. His name was Tony and he seemed quite excited to go on the trip. He was so sure he’d win that he even took off the appropriate days from work when he found out he had just qualified. Tony mentioned he’ll probably take a buddy with him to see the games.

Lauri Loewenberg, the Dream Lady, spoke to Todd and Tyler this morning. She runs the web site TheDreamZone.com, a front for selling her book about dream interpretation. She spent a bit of time analyzing dreams for TnT listeners as well as discussing things such as lucid dreaming, prediction dreams, and nightmares. That’s about all there is to say about the Dream Lady.

TnT announced details of this year’s Freaker’s Ball this morning. It is going to take place on Halloween night, October 31^st at the AmeriSports Bar. The party begins at 8:30pm with Xtend and Down To Here performing. Tickets are only $10 at the AmeriSports box office and as always, there are lots of costume prizes this year. I believe first place will win $1000. Stay tuned for all of the prize money information and any other details about the party that you may not have gleaned from this well written paragraph.

BW came in a bit later with today’s e-news segment. The gang discussed the Stones not playing in Hong Kong, there was a bit of talk about the new $20 bill commercial campaign and what a waste of $20 bills it is, and the gang spent a bit more time railing hard on Rush for being doped up. They even took a call from a listener that was hooked on the same drug, OxyContin, who described how difficult it was for him to get off the drug. They also examined how one of the side effects for being an OxyContin freak is the loss of hearing, which BW found hilariously “hardcore!”
