Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing some video shown by KM3 last night of Husker Kellen Huston knocking out a Missouri fan seconds after the game ended on Saturday. From the report, the fan ran out onto the field with everyone else after Missouri spanked the Huskers and as the fan ran open-armed to the Missouri QB, he crossed paths with Kellen Huston who punched him right in the face. There was speculation that Huston thought the fan was running in to attack him but nobody really knows for sure why he decked the guy.

TnT mentioned that they met Kellen at the Anchor over the summer and he seemed to be a cool guy but they couldn’t defend him for his actions and spent the rest of the morning railing on him. The guys talked about how there is no way Husker fans could spin what Huston did but opened up the phone lines all morning long and let them try anyway. Amazingly, people actually did phone in and attempted to spin the incident. The blind support was disgusting.

Tyler saw a gorilla at Lake Zorinsky yesterday. Seriously.

Also early in the show, TnT talked about their trip to Brewsky’s last night for their Monday Night Football party. They seemed to have had a good time but were a bit disappointed in the turnout. They judged that it wasn’t quite as busy as normal because of the crappy, rainy weather yesterday and the lack of interest in the two teams playing. The guys did mention, though, that at one point in the night, Brian got on the microphone and announced that the Cubs had just clinched their spot in the World Series. 75% of the crowd erupted with cheers, which only helped to prove TnT’s point that all of the local Cubs fans are just bandwagon geeks that know nothing about the game. For if they did know anything about baseball, they’d have known that the Cubs didn’t play last night. TnT referred to BW’s quick social experiment as “genius”.

BW came in with the news a bit later. There was talk of speaking Spanish to Polish kids, teens piercing their “cooches”, a report of Dr. John being in trouble in Scott’s Bluff for selling the same sort of legal porn he does in Omaha, more mountain lion paranoia, a robbery by sword, exploding terrorist pillows, new Crayola colors, and a gripping tale of a penis stealing African wizard.

Trav came in a bit later and the Kellen Huston conversation continued. TnT asked whether or not Trav had the video before just last night and Trav mentioned that he had. In fact, he had it both Sunday and Monday and because he didn’t air it sooner, he got in trouble from his KM3 bosses. He took full responsibility and admitted that his plan to get Solich’s reaction to the video before airing it wasn’t the brightest idea. Trav then told TnT that the incident happened directly in front of him. The fan Huston leveled landed just inches from Trav’s feet. Not thinking to help the guy out, Trav immediately turned to his cameraman and said, “Did you get that on tape?” Everyone got a kick out of that.

Along with an exhausting amount of Kellen Huston talk during the sports, the gang spent a bit of time talking about recent FWIW feedback related to the Kobe trial. Trav’s voicemail box seemed full of women wanting to support the basketball star, which TnT found idiotic. You’d think that the female population of this world would be more apt to support the female rape victim instead of the millionaire basketball player.

Following the sports, Todd and Tyler took a call from Dr. John. He discussed with them the news story about how Scott’s Bluff police are charging him on 2 counts of selling obscene materials. He explained that it’s the same sort of legal porn that got him thrown in the pokey in Omaha. Nobody seemed to know exactly what will come of the charges or whether or not Dr. John will go straight from the Omaha jail to the Scott’s Bluff jail when he is scheduled for release in December. Dr. John did say he’d keep everyone posted, though, and vowed not to run away from the charges. He stated that he’s sticking up for the freedoms of all of us to do what we want legally in our own bedrooms. I’m sure we’ll here more from Dr. John in the very near future.

BW returned with the e-news a bit later. Between more Kellen Huston talk, calls, and e-mails, Brian reported on entertainment stories such as the new DC Sniper movie, the first time the top 10 artists on the Pop charts have all been black, and the Monopoly championships being played on a train. Along with those stories came several others that TnT didn’t have any interest in, which prompted them to viciously scold BW for his story selection abilities. BW scrapped the remainder of this e-news and went straight for a list of “The Rules” as written by men. He did this list a while back and it wasn’t any more gripping than it was today so I guess I’ll just wrap it up.
