Sorry, I guess I heard wrong. During the last hour of the show, TnT said they got word from higher up (management) to get rid of the countdown...They said it would end in about a month, and Todd said today's song (#9707) was more like #35...

I guess we'll see if they stay true to their word, and the countdown stops. (Tyler hinted before that they would eventually just quit playing a song at the beginning and go into the show from commercials...)
