I am for the lack of better words, a Husker Freak and an outside of Nebraska Husker Freak to boot, i'll admit that my handle on www.bigredboard.com, is Ankeny Husker Freak. When TnT start in on their Husker bashing, like this morning (had a vacation day, so I was able to listen up until Trav came on), i'm just laughing my a$$ off. Why that is, I don't know, probably because i'm laughing at myself.

However, when the Central Iowa sports talk shows start bashing the Huskers, or anyone whom I work with start bashing the Huskers, my fists come up and I come out swining.

Is that just me or do other Husker fans outside of Nebraska do the same?

First off,welcome garn. I am a big fan,like you I laugh at what they say,'cause I get it.But outside of the state,not sure if I'm quite as passionate as you.I don't go to blows,but I will stand up for them as much as I can. B)

I'm a recovering husker fan i used to hate them but now their kinda growin on me, I think its funny as crap when TNT trash talk the hustkers because my dad is a husker freak and it angers him alot.

As a Husker fan I became a Cub fan in order to balance out my ego/kharma. After last year I do believe the scale has shifted a little too far to the shitty end of the spectrum. Hope this year turns out a little better.

I'm one of the wierd people I guess. I like the Huskers and the Hawkeyes... Probably because of location. But I can stand the Bashing since I understand the angle that TnT are coming from.

I would have to say that I'm a born and raised 'Husker Hater'. I'm from Iowa, so logically I'm a Hawkeyes fan. The biggest peeve I have with 'Husker Fan' is the 'We'. 'We' need to do this and 'We' are going to do that. 'Husker Fan' should not longer be able to use the 'We'.

P.S. I used a lot of pretty pretentious quotation marks. 'Sorry about that' ;)

I didn't really start liking the Huskers until I was in High school. And I really started to like them just to piss off the football coach cause he hated them. Earned me quite a few laps around the track. ;) :laugh:

Go hawkeyes! I grew up as a hawkeye fan and have never really strayed from that. Some people just need to realize that not everyone loves their team. Has anyone been on the big sport 590 forums? My point exactly, it's a I hate you fest and really gets annoying.

Hypnotoad- sweet sig, did you make it or find it? I've been looking for my own halo 2 sig. There can never be enough halo nerds on this site. (guilty as charged) B)
