This is something Ive been wondering for a very long time and I thought this may be a good place to ask. I recently graduated from college and returned to omaha, so I havnt heard TNT everyday for years. I listened all through high school during the days of Donnie, and I listend on the webcast when I was at school, and ofcourse anytime I was back in Omaha for the BW days. Here is my question...what really happened with Donnie. Also, what really happened with news chick brian. The guys dont talk about it I know, but because this is an unauthorized site, it actually is probably the best place to discuss it. I have my own guesses but I remember one day it seemed like Donnie just didnt come in, and I was back at school and there was no webcast when Brian left. What happened? Obviously we may not know all the details, and if its personal i can understand...but I just wonder if there was something I missed when I was out of the area.

I wanted to add, I only mention those two cause they were important to the show for a period of time. I know they have changed people many times, but I think these two had the most controversy (and probably most missed)

donnie - fireman or firefighter or something. Donnie visits the site from time to time.

brian - loch ness monster ate him... seems to be a big no no to talk about it, but I'm curious as well.

yeah ive heard donnie call in a certain sports talk show in the afternoon before. atleast i thought it was him. anyway, i heard he was a firefighter, but when he called in a couple weeks ago with the 'if i had a grave id roll over in it' line, they made it sound like they werent supposed to mention his name....thats why im curious.

None of us know really what happened, since Todd and Tyler are private about it. However, since Todd and Tyler (mostly Todd) take constant subtle shots at Brian Houston, I figure I might as well say what seems to have happened.

Last year on April 1st, Brian Houston apparently was really freaking out and claimed 'he couldn't do it anymore'. I think he wanted more money, and free cars, or whatever. (Just speculation from things I've gathered). He stayed on for about two more weeks and then was briefly replaced with Craig Evans. Craig Evans was strange when he first came back because he'd fake laugh at everything. He was much more cheesy than he is now. He was more of a 'news' guy. Now he's the 'guy who does news but doesn't care at all'. I know he was on the show in the early years, but I was like seven then.

Donnie's a firefighter, and is mentioned once and awhile. Brian is NEVER mentioned, only jabbed at in subtle shots.

Brian is an easy one if you were listening the day it happened. I'll state this is all observation and rumor, but here goes. It seemed that Brian wasn't getting along with the wife all to well after getting back together. TnT were getting on him about this, without actually saying 'I told you so', and Brian blew up at them on the air. Moment of silence, show went on. The next show Brian was gone. Pretty well along those lines, not sure if he left on his own or was told to leave. I assume it was probably on his own as it did start to seem like he wasn't enjoying what he did anymore, was taking things way to seriously.

As for Donnie, I seriously don't remember.

They lost a lot when Donnie left...That's all I'm sayin' 'bout that.

'Changing Voices' no one here has a face.

As for Brian-they weren't paying him enough ($ & benefits, etc.) to quit his mowing business. TnT gave him a choice because they were pissed that their news guy had to go plow snow.
I think all that on-air-getting-pissed-off-at-each other shit is just to through the sent off. It is just a show, everthing doesn't have to be real.

The funny thing is how can you blame him? He needed more money, couldn't get it, and left. Yet they bad mouth the little fucker like he 'dissed' them. (did i really use dis?)
Anywho...you can catch a lot if you listen. You'll be able to read all about it in a new book coming out this fall

ill agree donnie was an asset, however TNT have changed a lot over the years. it was a much different show back then. Tyler has probably been the most notible change since he has become a father and a family man. not a softy by any means, but just different. ive also noticed the guys have gotten ...how should i say....comfortable? They know they are number 1, and they know we have nothing else to listen to. i just sometimes think they lost some of the edge. although that changes day to day, if they get good guests or have a good bit now and then, they are as good as ive ever heard.

im not saying craig sucks, because his subtle dry humor is great. but brian and donnie brought something to the table. that bit about 'faggot dancing' on the CD is a good example. they play off eachother. maybe im wrong:S

Lets also not forget with the wonderful president you all elected into office the NEW and IMPROVED FCC rules and regulations.. (end sarcasm)... So the show had to change some - the things they use to be able to do just are not allowed anymore..

It was really wierd when Brian left. All of a sudden Lester or Wex came in and said that He wanted to talk to Bw, TNT were like "why? we're right in the middle of a show?" Well from what i remember they went to commercial and, when they came back BW wasn't there. TNT were tryin to explain it they just really wanted to leave the event behind them. From my POV BW was pissed because he wasn't gettin paid enuf he had to "drink his coffee from a saucer" and TNT were tired of putting up with all of his crap.

I don't know thats just what I remeber about it.
